Excessive regulation will hasten DB wind-ups and buyouts

Confederation of British Industry director-general Richard Lambert said businesses had voiced concern over the past few months regarding the mounting pressure being placed on DB schemes.

Lambert added: "Pension deficits are back near the top of the corporate worry list. There is an incoming tide of complex and expensive new regulation that threatens to drive an extra nail into the coffin of many DB schemes.

"Firms want to preserve their excellent schemes for employees, but the pressure on them is continuing to build."

Lambert addressed members of the industry at an event held in London today, and warned that greater longevity and capital market instability together with the credit crunch had increased pressure on DB schemes.

Lambert said schemes needed "breathing space" from further regulation if DB schemes were to survive. more

Biolex lands $10.5M loan from Silicon Valley Bank, Oxford Finance

Triangle Business Journal reported in late February that Biolex was expected to need cash sometime this summer to continue its operations.

"We are pleased to be working with Silicon Valley Bank and Oxford due to their deep understanding of working with life science companies such as ours," Dale A. Sander, chief financial officer of Biolex, said in a statement. "Having financial partners that know our business is critical to ensuring that they have the expertise to contribute to our success."

575m euros available for companies that create over 500 jobs

The companies that invest more than 100 million euros and thus create at least 500 jobs will get state aid worth up to 25 million euros, with the total value of funds allocated for 2008-2012 standing at 575 million euros. State aid will be granted only if the investment continues in the region where it was created for at least five years after the completion of the project, ministry sources said, who cited the draft to be submitted to the government soon. Sources say the eligible investments will be those that create at least 500 jobs and exceed the RON equivalent . more

Resolved Question: What can I do to help my husband increase his self confidence?

When I met hubby he was delivering pizzas, and then a white van delivery driver as he did not achieve enough grades and did not have the money to go to university. He used to say he was a "street-guy" and was not made to be an academic person - but after some brainwashing from my side he got the motivation to apply for Uni and he finished it with a 2:1. He truly enjoyed studying. And we are both proud of himself.Then he started a MA but had also applied for some trainee programs with some well known companies. The competition was very hight but he got the job.The Management trainee would pay lots so he quit the overcomplicated MA which he was not completely sure he was enjoying. The trainee program proved to be very physical, long hours, work weekends, slave work conditions, and anyone without a Bachelors could perform the job, in his opinion. Everyday he gets home and complain on how tired he is and much he wants to leave this job.Problem is: I have been hearing this for over 1 year and he only applied for 6 jobs during all this time. We do not have kids and are quite free to take any risk we wish. He said the reason he does not apply for jobs is because he has no self confidence that he will be able to do them. He is not sure about his capability of working in an office, he has never done it and his first language is not English. He claims to not understand about companies and business (some call it corporate gibberish) - therefore he does not even apply. Recently he was keen to start his own business, a removal company or talked about being a taxi driver. In my opinion this shows how little confidence he has in his intellectual abilities. more background: I am myself a foreigner in the UK and got my first job in a blue chip company struggling badly to understand what was going on , there was the language barrier and the fact that I did not know anything about companies myself . . . but I survived and developed day by day and today I can write SOP's and train other people.... I so think my hubby can do the same and better..and I do tell him that ! I chose to love him for the street-guy he said he was and I will still love if he decides to be it...but... Little girl is turning 4! Is a bouncy party a good party? I am inviting 10 girls, counting her. The girls parents will be there, my daughter who is 10, will bring 4 friends, counting her, to the party. Wait, now 20 people (total people at the party) We got like 5 different bouncy palaces. I started working at a pizza place. I am 16 and I met a person that needed a ride home. He is 17, I gave him rides home. One day he came to my house for 15m and then asked for a ride home. I took him home. He wanted me to come in and I said, no, and he took my cell phone so I would follow him. He then tried to push me down and have sex. I was able to get out of there. he was partly successful. I told my mom and we had him investigated. I couldn't stand being around him so I told my boss what he did and asked to put me on the later shift. My boss was concerned being sued. He put me on the same shift for two days anyways and i threw up at work and went home. I again asked if we could not be on the same shift. My boss said, no prove nothing happened. He then said he would/ My hours got cut from 4 days to 3 not that big of a deal. Then, it went to 2 days and now to 1. I came to work to get my check and my schedule. The co-worker by now was talked to by the investigator and he seen me and he said, f-- you and did the throat slash away from the cameras. I immediately told my boss. He said, he seen nothing on the tapes. He said, i was loitering and not allowed on the premises unless i was working. My mom said, better be the same for the other guy. my boss said yes. I noticed he is working 40 hours as i was cut to 1 day. The incident did not happen at work my boss said and this did not happen while i was working either but yet he is protecting the other guy. I was a customer that day, i bought a pizza too. I have to call my schedule in every week, they say i have 5 hours and when i come in, i got only 4 hours. I feel discriminated. I want to file a claim with the EEOC, but can I ? do I have anything here? the rape case is not going in my favor either. I am losing on all ends. any help thanks. more

im in the sixth grade and today is friday.. im scared to come back to school on monday because of the bullies.. so here the long story ; today at lunch, you know just minding our business my 2 friends us talking .. we get our lunch .. pizza, carrots and chocolate milk mm.. we get done eating and the other class starts a food fight. of course we don't play along because when we do we have to clean it all up. so they start a food fight with the carrots throwing them everywhere. and then the other class goes in the bathroom talking about stuff. i wasn't shure what but they were all "bi-sexuals". one of my classmates told the teacher that they were throwing stuff at us. and the other class said i told, im afraid now. they keep looking at my friends and me and we can't look at them at all. THEY say i told the teacher and im a snitch but i didn't. i think they wanna fight me. i don't wanna fight. im scared and i now wanna transfer this been the worst day of my life and i have a lot of people on my back. now next friday hopefully this is gonna happen again but this time worst. there all bigger than me wayy bigger . im skinny. and they could knock me in one hit so is my friends. one friend is bigger than me and i said "you could fight them" and shes scared too. Ok so there is this "friend" I have named Chloe. About 5 months ago I started liking this guy that lives across from so me and my friends followed him a bit. I know its creepy but no one knew what to say to him because he was kind of awkward. Soon the guy kind of started to like me but listen. So he has this weird friend named James and he hangs out with him a lot and they talk about us a bit cause we say a lot of weird stuff to him. So James gets the idea we stalk him, tells his WHOOLE school and wham. We have a whole group of teenage boys following us, and teasing us saying things like "OOOO I like Derekk! Derrick is sooo cutee! Stop coming to the pizza store DERRICK ISN'T HERE!" So it kind of bothjered me at first, I mean normally I was emberassed. But I didn't really care after a while, it was kind of funny a bit. No one really took it personally but Chloe. First of all she has nothing to do with it, its none of her business, but she's just nosy and tries to get invovled. And she tells his friends hes a d!ck, a loser and an ass when he never rlly did anything. So she talks back to the guys, makes it a HUGE problem. He never really talked to us before but now he just full on HATES us for some reason, like he walks past us like we aren't even there. Ok so tonight (this is where it gets rly bad) I was hanging out front with me Chloe and Kate and he comes outside to do his paper route. So Chloe starts yelling saying "IM GOING TO END THIS TONIGHT!" And she like trashes him (when he hasn't done nothing) and like screams making a scene calling us selfish when really she is being selfish. No one of us want to start anything shes just trying to make drama. So she calls him a douche, he hears, looks and starts walking really fast because shes already spazzed at him for not saying "HI" (yeah, i know) and he doesn't wanna cause problems, and maybe is kinda scared. SShe states shes going home. We dont care cause, we want her to. She fights a bit more then right when he is behind us she yells "im honestly wanna f'ing kill this kid and I wouldn't care if he died and went to hell" Then he went inside. I don't know what to do about this girl. Its not much of a problem, shes causing drama. She wants attention. It's like she feeds off other peoples problems. Me and my friends don't know what to do. I'm a 27 year old woman and this guy is going to be 23 this month...I previously worked with him over a couple of years ago. It seemed like he had a crush on me the entire time that we worked together and I had a crush on him...but we never got acquainted with each other. We have just recently been talking through Facebook within the last couple of months. Last Friday we met up at a local pizza place (which he suggested...for us to get a bite to eat) so that I could buy tickets from him for his upcoming show (he's a musician). I texted him and said that I was going to be a bit late and he said, "no worries". I was about 45 minutes late...which is ridiculous! Anyway...when I arrived at the place and saw him, he was already smiling at me before I got over to him. I said it was good to see him and then he hugged me and I hugged him back; but didn't expect him to do that since we hardly know each other. Anyway...after we sat down he looked at his empty plate and said, "I hope you don't mind that I already ate". Maybe he was annoyed with me being late. I just said it was cool and basically that it was no big deal. Then he asked me if I was going to order anything and I said that I didn't know and then said that I have never eaten there before and he said that he hadn't either. I thought it was odd that he didn't wait for me to get there to eat. Kind of quickly after we started talking, I mentioned about me buying a ticket for his show and he said something like, "I don't mind getting down to business right away". He mentioned that I was the first person who he met with to buy tickets for his show and that the tickets were numbers 1 and 2...and that he didn't know if that had any significance or whatever. I said that was cool and then we did the "thumbs up" to each other, haha. Then when we were about to leave the place, I asked him if he was interested in going with me to a concert the next night and he said that he couldn't and that he had a lot to do and told me what he had to do and he said, "sadly, that is not a lie". When we left, he asked me if I wanted to go with him to this music store down the block. We walked over there and he looked for a cd, but didn't find it. That was all of about 10 minutes. Then after we left the store, he said, "So, I'm gonna see you next weekend?" (at his show) and I was like, "yea, definitely" and then we went in different directions to our cars. I kind of had the feeling that he wanted to talk longer than we did and that he was interested in me, but thought that maybe I wasn't interested in him. I tend to not show that I'm interested in a guy, if I am. I was a bit confused about his behavior though and wasn't sure if he was interested in me. Maybe since I have asked him several times to go to shows with me, he thinks that I just want to be friends. I don't really know what I want, because we haven't gotten to know each other. I believe that he broke up with his girlfriend almost about 2 months ago...and I believe they were together for about a year. So, maybe he is interested in me, but doesn't want to make himself vulnerable too soon. I guess only time will tell... more

Resolved Question: Cat Pizza --- What Do You Think?

I make it with alfredo sauce instead of tomato sauce, and then for toppings I add: small chucks of tuna, sardine bits, and anchovie bits. The finished pizza can be tried out on people before presenting it to the cats. I recommend the neighbors children, during a TV watching Pizza Party, when the room is dark. And do not cram any pizza slices into the childrens mouths, at least not after they start screaming. If the children tolerate the Pizza well, then you are ready to try it on the cats. You can add a bit of heavy cream as a final topping. Place the Pizza slices on small plates and put these on the front porch about 10 feet apart. If you have the knack for making good cat pizza, you will find many takers among the neighborhood cats. Most will nibble eagerly at the toppings. Only a few cats will eat serious amounts of the crust. This is OK. The crusts dry up and can be fed the to birds and the squirrels, who then get fat and delicious, and thus provide lovely dessert for the cats. Birds that are bubbadocious and tree rats that are lardy-butt do not escape all predacious cats of hunting prowess, like my beauty Diana-Meowy-Face, a true huntress of the yard. I'm thinking that the fish related ingredients might be freeze dried, and the alfredo sauce could come in a mylar pouch, and the crust could be like a Boboli perma-crust. Cat pizza could be sold by mail order as a food item at Amazon.com. Also it could be a dry storage item at local markets. There would be a little booklet showing how to make the Pizza, and how to stuff it into the mouths of children to test its quality, and how to present it to the local cats as their reward for being so aloof and filled with the dignity of good citizens. Who is with me? I would like to sell this cat pizza product through the same marketing channels, including Emma the Trouble Magnet, (aka Machine Gun toting Highland Venus), who has always been splendid in marketing my products, like my new and improved God's Balls Dogfood IAMSTHATIAMS. By the way the three dog night bed warmer harness is getting a lot of buzz. People have been looking for some use for those fluffy warm lazy useless dogs that do nothing but eat and sleep -- poodles in particular, but also cocker spaniels, and bloodhounds. Resolved Question: Loss of heat on Lincoln Impinger pizza oven?

Hi. Use 2 Lincoln Impingers. Model # 1240. Top deck has been losing temperature at random times. Usually runs at around 460. Unit will drop down to 325 or even low 200s. Only happens when bottom deck is on also. Was happening in the evening, but recently during mid-afternoon also. Blower stays on. Conveyor works fine also. Its happened when it's busy, and it's happened when it's slow (business wise). Unit has been cleaned thoroughly including component box. Had a service guy come out about a month ago and he didn't know what it was. And it was too costly to just start changing parts. The only way around it lately has been to turn it off and let it cool down from about 2p to around 4:30p. As long as I can basically before the dinner rush. It doesn't tend to have the issue when I do this. But still does occur once in a while. I would say that it tends to happen when it's a little warmer in the store, too. Not sure about that, though. If anyone knows anything about these ovens, any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks. more

First of all, I am so sorry for how long this turned out to be. I really needed to get a lot off of my shoulders. I have been friends with a girl for about 11 years now. We met in elementary school and grew up together. Our whole friendship has been dreadful on me, and I will say the only reason I stayed friends with her so long is because when growing up, I was teased a lot and she was my only friend. Now I am married to a wonderful man and expecting our first baby. She got pregnant young, with a man 10 years older than her. I adore and love her daughter, but I just can not have this girl in my life any more. I am not sure if she has a jealousy issue, or what her problem has been, but all of these years she found ways to drag me down. When I was 12, my dad began a cocain addiction. It was very hard on me, and I became very suicidal. It was a stage I was able to pull out of, and move on, but in a fight we had last year, she brought up how she wishes I would go snort coke with my dad. Mind you, we are adults now, and my dad still has this addiction. I put up with her very rude remarks. Every time I would stand up for my self when she put me down, she would tell me that I should commit suicide. Now, over the years she has matured some, but not enough that I can be friends with her. I am a very nice natured girl, and I hate to say these things about her. Her and I live about twenty minutes apart. She refuses to get a job or drivers license, but her boyfriend has one. There really is no effort on her side to try and hang out, but I will always invite her to our game nights, or dinner. She never ends up being able to make it. I never had a problem with this, but the thing is, she will go on all of our networking sites saying that she can not stand when friends won't go and pick her up to hang out. She always tries to offend me through bulletins and posts. She won't make them directly at me, but it is in plain sight that they are. She asks me how I am doing, and how my photography business is doing, and how my husband and I are doing, and when I respond, she sends out a post saying how she doesn't care how great my life is, and all this stuff that I really can not bring my self to understand. She is very competitive as well. When she asks me what is new and I tell her, she has to top it off. Now I can deal with her being mean to me, saying harsh things about me, but now she is saying things about my husband. My husband recently lost his job, and although we are doing very fine with money right now, he feels very bad that he is not the one supporting his family. She recently sent out another post saying that her friends husband is a low life and needs to step up to the plate and that this mans wife needs to stop motivating him because he should be doing it himself. Like I said, it is never directed to me, but it is plain to see who she is talking about. My husband won't say, but I know this hurt him. This is where my line was crossed. I decided to just end our friendship. I confronted her about the last post she did about my husband, and of coarse to no avail, she denied it had anything to do with me. She can't tell me the problem she has with me first hand, she has to go post it around to every one. I am not trying to be rude or offensive, but her boyfriend works at pizza hut, and they live with her parents rent free. I can't even believe I am being rude about her now, my nature is always nice, but I can not handle her anymore. I finally brought my self to delete and block her off of all of my networking sites. I posted a blog which she reads saying that I am having a fresh start. I never said anything rude about her, or any one she cares about. It was basically my way of letting her know I am done. She texted me for three or four days before reading the blog asking me why I was so upset, and I decided it would be best for me not to text her back. I haven't spoken or wrote her in a week. After she read my blog, she started texting me non-stop. She texted me last night at 2 in the morning, til three in the morning. Text after text saying that I am a horrible person, I deserved to lose every one in my life (dad), and more and more. I continued to just delete and not send her anything back. She was really offending and hurting my feelings, but I know texting her back would make it worst. She than started texting me again today, even more rude things, and than had her adult boyfriend text me calling me and ugly cun*, and a stupid bitc*. Finally, I gave up and blocked her number. She is now logging on to other peoples net working sites (her family, with there permission) and writing me over and over. I can't seem to get away. What can I do to get her to stop? My husband is getting very angry about this and wants to say something, but I really just want to end all means of contact. What can I do? I am not sure if she has a jealousy issue, or what her problem has been, but all of these years she found ways to drag me down. When I was 12, my dad began a cocain addiction. It was very hard on me, and I became very suicidal. It was a stage I was able to pull out of, and move on, but in a fight we had last year, she brought up how she wishes I would go snort coke with my dad. Mind you, we are adults now, and my dad still has this addiction. I put up with her very rude remarks. Every time I would stand up for my self when she put me down, she would tell me that I should commit suicide. Now, over the years she has matured some, but not enough that I can be friends with her. I am a very nice natured girl, and I hate to say these things about her. Her and I live about twenty minutes apart. She refuses to get a job or drivers license, but her boyfriend has one. There really is no effort on her side to try and hang out, but I will always invite her to our game nights, or dinner. She never ends up being able to make it. I never had a problem with this, but the thing is, she will go on all of our networking sites saying that she can not stand when friends won't go and pick her up to hang out. She always tries to offend me through bulletins and posts. She won't make them directly at me, but it is in plain sight that they are. She asks me how I am doing, and how my photography business is doing, and how my husband and I are doing, and when I respond, she sends out a post saying how she doesn't care how great my life is, and all this stuff that I really can not bring my self to understand. She is very competitive as well. When she asks me what is new and I tell her, she has to top it off. Now I can deal with her being mean to me, saying harsh things about me, but now she is saying things about my husband. My husband recently lost his job, and although we are doing very fine with money right now, he feels very bad that he is not the one supporting his family. She recently sent out another post saying that her friends husband is a low life and needs to step up to the plate and that this mans wife needs to stop motivating him because he should be doing it himself. Like I said, it is never directed to me, but it is plain to see who she is talking about. My husband won't say, but I know this hurt him. This is where my line was crossed. I decided to just end our friendship. I confronted her about the last post she did about my husband, and of coarse to no avail, she denied it had anything to do with me. She can't tell me the problem she has with me first hand, she has to go post it around to every one. I am not trying to be rude or offensive, but her boyfriend works at pizza hut, and they live with her parents rent free. I can't even believe I am being rude about her now, my nature is always nice, but I can not handle her anymore. I finally brought my self to delete and block her off of all of my networking sites. I posted a blog which she reads saying that I am having a fresh start. I never said anything rude about her, or any one she cares about. It was basically my way of letting her know I am done. She texted me for three or four days before reading the blog asking me why I was so upset, and I decided it would be best for me not to text her back. I haven't spoken or wrote her in a week. After she read my blog, she started texting me non-stop. She texted me last night at 2 in the morning, til three in the morning. Text after text saying that I am a horrible person, I deserved to lose every one in my life (dad), and more and more. I continued to just delete and not send her anything back. She was really offending and hurting my feelings, but I know texting her back would make it worst. She than started texting me again today, even more rude things, and than had her adult boyfriend text me calling me and ugly cun*, and a stupid bitc*. Finally, I gave up and blocked her number. She is now logging on to other peoples net working sites (her family, with there permission) and writing me over and over. I can't seem to get away. What can I do to get her to stop? My husband is getting very angry about this and wants to say something, but I really just want to end all means of contact. What can I do? There is a small, but successful restaurant near my house. (It's a little gourmet pizza place.) I have been looking to gain some experience in waitressing (I would really prefer to help work my way through college doing that rather than retail, but I know most places prefer that you have experience, so I figure I should start building that now, while I'm 16 rather than 18.) , and the owner is usually serving the food and complaining about being understaffed. However, he never has any kind of "Help Wanted" sign/posting, so I don't know how exactly to ask if he's hiring. It just seems strangely presumptuous, as if you already know the answer will be "Yes," or it would be hugely disappointing if it were a "No," to just walk in and ask, and yet it seems rude/awkward to wait until my next trip, trying to become an employee while in a customer's shoes. I'm mostly confused because it's a small business and probably doesn't bring in employees on a conveyor belt like my corporate retail job does. (I have several reasons that I am hoping to trade that one, partially because "It's just not for me," and "I've been there too long," but I also because the schedule is becoming difficult to deal with--I'm either getting five hours on Sunday and then a dead week, or I'm legally maxed out for every day, and as result, the money is becoming unreliable. This is primarily due to overstaffing. I know this restaurant treats its employees very well. Plus, the customers are generous tippers! I also just feel I'm more likely to thrive in that kind of work environment.) OK, bit of a story, so bare with me here. A month or so ago I was in this 'exclusive' nightclub, where all the hot people and wannabes want to be seen. I get chatting to a really hot young girl, 24, part time model, blah blah blah... and all goes well. After a few hours of chatting and drinking, she tells me it's time she has to leave, as her friend was driving and so on. Before she left the table, she handed me her mobile phone and asked me to enter my number, so she could keep in touch. I did that, and thought that was it... we'll catch up later and so. Now here's the business! When she left, a few minutes after, I decided to visit the gents and take a leak, as I was busting to go, after all those beers I had fed into me. Remember, this club is 'trendy', so the smart owner decides to have a uni-sex toilet... girls and boys, so to say. I walk in, go to my cubicle.. and start to relieve myself... while doing so, I can hear these huge rippers of farts, plopping and spraying type sounds from the cubicle next to me. Haha, I couldn't help myself, so I shout out ' bad pizza last night mate? ' to which I got no reply. Oh well I thought, I'd be embarrassed as well, with an air horn a** like that! I walk out of the toilets, and bump into an old friend standing directly outside it, so we start chatting for a few minutes and I did mention to him that it seems like a hippo is giving birth in one of the cubicles, with a smell that resembles the Ganges. Shock, horror, and slight disgust... my new young hot friend walks out of the toilet... Sweet Mother of God I thought... was that her well toned butt that just released Satan?? I quickly moved and hid so she wouldn't spot me, as I felt slightly ashamed at making those comments earlier.. but I'm sure she didn't suspect it was me. There was only one other person in the toilet at the time I was inside, and it must have been her! She called and sms'ed the other day, but I didn't answer the phone, as she lost all sex appeal with me when she released that trumpet of hers! Now, what should I do?? Should I just forget about it, and think " it's all natural ", and continue on to meet up, or should I keep that horrid memory burnt inside my brain forever, and just move on? I recently got a job for about 2 days out of the week. Nothing big at all, but this is my first job, and it is heavy. It's in the food business and I work in the kitchen. I work probably one of the busiest days out of the week, Sundays, and any other couple of days. I am 18 and this is my first job, my parents are already on my ass about getting ANOTHER one. I take care of my brother like 8 hours a day. And then I work about 12 hours a week on my actual job, and then my parents want me to get a second job and THEN still go to school for 12 hours. Like, I know, it's not THAT much but it's still a lot for me to handle because I'm still adapting to having a job! My parents are pressuring me like crazy and making me feel like a failure because I don't have a second job. They don't understand that instead of telling me off, they can support me, BUT NO, they have to keep mentioning that I'm lazy and that I don't want to do shit. Well, that's the way they see me...and that's the direction I'm slowly falling in to. I don't like to do what my parents tell me to do because then that just ruins the fun out of doing it, which is why having a job isn't fun anymore.... On my job, I make pizza's at minimum wage, while others get paid like 10+. I just started a week ago, and they still tell me that I am sucking and that I need to work faster. Yeah, I understand I need to work faster, But I'm working as fast as I can!!! I just started and they're treating me like crap saying that I can't do it and that I'm not good enough. It's very depressing and, ugh...I don't know. Seems like everyone's very damn fucking pissy. It's definitely a whole new thing I have to adapt and get used to. Any advice? Please help more

I decided to start a business at my school. The school lunches suck, and the system thinks they can increase the price while decreasing the quantity and quality of the food. But I will not stand for it! I'm starting a business selling homemade sandwiches. I live 5 minutes from a costco and 5 minutes from an excellent sandwich place that sells incredible sauce. My plan is to sell 12 Sandwiches a day for $5, the cost of a gross piece of a pizza and a small gatorade at my school. BTW, I know it's not totally legal, but I mean, what's $50 dollars out of the schools pocket when they treat us like garbage, its more of a profitable protest haha. Ok well ive be we have been with my boyfriend for 3 years, and ive always known he loves his mother. From the start of the relationship she would call him and ask him to get things for her, a pizza, his sister or somthing from the shop (she drives) i always though it a bot inconsiderate since he doesnt live with me and we wanted to spend time with her. Biut i didnt say any thing she is his mum and its nice to see him look after his mum, plus its none of my business. Voting Question: How to start a Pizza Hut Franchise in Afghanistan.?

I have been deployed in Afghanistan since 2005, and looking for ways to generate more income. Bagram Afghanistan has a pizza hut that serves all military and people supporting the military. I am already aware on how to get this done in the states. I already know that when contacting the franchise sales department they will not even transfer your call unless you can prove to them you have those funds Available to start. If any of you have been deployed before then you have seen all of the franchises we have in the war zones. Any information will be greatly appreciated. This information would be easy to obtain if i was directly in Bagram but i am deployed at a different base. If all else fails, i will try to contact the franchise directly, however i do not believe they would be of much help since aafees has there hand in every business operation that goes on in warzones. i am currently looking for new employment, the problem is that i am only 20 and have had quite a few jobs the past two years. my first job, which i started in high school, i worked at for two years, i then quit because i had plans to move away to college but when i decided not to go, i went back to work with the same employer. after a few more months there, i quit and went to work for someplace else. as it turns out, i absolutely hated this new job. it wasnt the actual work that i didnt enjoy, it was the fact that the general manager and i did not get along at all. he always made me feel uncomfortable and i felt like he singled me out, so after only three short months i quit and went to work for another new place. again, the manager there and i did not get along. ive neve had a dispute with my superior at any job, it was just more or less them talking to me in a way that made me feel stupid and like they were never satisfied. the fact is, that everyone had the same problems with these managers so it wasnt just me.after working six months at this new job, i went back to my very first job and worked there for eight months. i then got bored working there and quit to go work at a new place. i loved my job there! everyone was fun and nice and all of my managers were awesome but it was a little drive from where i lived and i got paid in peanuts. so, i guess what im asking is what do i tell an employer that i am hoping will hire me about my job history? i dont want them to think i am not dependable or cant hold a job for too long. also, the jobs ive held are as follows, knowing this might help you to better offer me advice, in the following order..1)pizza place 2) the gap 3)pizza hut 4)pizza place 5)applebees.as of current i am working at burger king. i am still in my first week there but as soon as i find a better job i am quitting there. i only took the position as a last resort. all of the jobs that i have held are jobs that i have quit, not been fired from. the job i am currently applying for is at a tanning salon, basically just working the front desk and cleaning beds. i know that none of these jobs sound tough or challenging but its even hard to find a job a company that isnt fortune 500. employers are becoming more and more picky. also, i am going to school to get my associates degree in business management if that will help to help me. i would also like to know what i should tell them when they ask why i left a certain job.the reason i left two of those jobs was because the managers made me feel uncomfortable and not like an asset to the team. i dont want to say anything negative though but i also dont want to lie! i am DESPERATE for a job right now as are most in todays economy so any and all advice and tips you could offer me would be GREATLY APPRECIATED! thank you! more

so im 26, goto college about to get my bachlors degree. I havent been dating as much as I used 2 and mainly been chill. So I'm in a terrible situation right now. I deliver pizza's. It's a good job and I get overtime every week. I'm not trying to lose the 1500 a month because of car problems. I just spent 250 to get the brakes redone just to find out that there's something wrong with the motor when the truck dies as soon as i get home from the repair shop. Won't start anymore. I just got approved for a $600 max credit card and it's in the mail right now but it's only the second business day from the 7 to 10 they say it should be there in. That's too long since i have to work on Wednesday. I was thinking. Maybe I can call my bank or credit company and get my card number and expiration. Or maybe go into the bank to get it. So i could just give the tow service and auto repair shops my number to pay. Will the tow service not tow if they can't swipe the card? Will the repair shop repair with just the number without the card? Will the bank or credit agencies even give me my info over the phone or in person? Any other ideas of solving this situation? more

Since then there have been bouts of physical and mental abuse for 10 years. He has not had a stable income or job since I met him. I started an exportation business from his country 2 years after we married to help with money and not depend on him to take care of me. Needless to say it took years for this company to make good money. In the meantime I got an inheritance of $200,000 and bought a land in his country and put the rest in savings. We traveled back and forth from each other countries but nothing ever worked out for us, especially after the baby was born. He was satisfied to work pizza and live below the poverty level and live off my inheritance in Hawaii, all while abusing me mentally and physically when he felt the need. Finally, I realized I needed a place and a plan of my own, as later we were living in a house owned by his parents (in Brazil to save money). I took my inheritance and built two homes in his country, Brazil, one to live and one to rent. Although the money was not enough to finish the two homes, my business which I have been taking care of finally started to make money, $40,000 in the last 10 months. So, I used that to finish. He finally got some money from his parents, and invested 15% into the total I invested. I made my Employer (Dominos Pizza) aware of this in hopes of recieving a more flexible schedule. After speaking with Melissa Ansell (GM) she granted me special hours to guarantee the job would not interfere with my classes. From there on i NEVER worked before 3:30 p.m or after 12:30 a.m on a day that i had classes. I was then forced to travel to the Richland location to work. i worked until 10:30 p.m then asked Bryant Williams (GM) when i could go home. he stated that i would be there until closing.
