German ''Fakebook'' Site incurs wrath of Facebook

But German Internet entrepreneur Alexander Samwer, who with his two brothers is best known for founding the Crazy Frog ringtone company Jamba that was later bought by News Corp., is placing his bets on Facebook.

"Facebook is light years ahead of studiVZ," Samwer told Spiegel magazine in an interview.

In January, the Samwer brothers invested in Facebook after selling their stake in studiVZ last year.

Now, Phil Spector endorses Obama at his murder trial hearing

Today The Times' eagle-eyed Harriet Ryan spotted Phil Spector, the famous rock entrepreneur and infamous date, showing up for a court hearing in Los Angeles wearing a very obvious "Barack Obama Rocks" pin.

Spector, you may recall, has some continuing legal troubles having to do with an actress, Lana Clarkson, turning up dead in his house after a date five years ago.

Spector says she shot herself. The prosecution suggests otherwise. A jury could not decide.

So a second second-degree murder trial is set to begin on Sept. 29, pending a higher court ruling on the presiding judge. Meanwhile, Spector and every one of those "hairs" on his head is behind Barack.

Last week in Mississippi, as The Ticket noted, 34-year-old Dale Lee Bishop, who was a participant in the 1998 claw-hammer homicide of an acquaintance, endorsed Obama just before he was executed. more

I have been researching this for a large portion of my adult life and have come to the conclusion it all started in the 1920’s with Yellow Journalism. Bear with me for a moment and let me explain,... William Randolph Hearst, who arrived on the scene in 1887, was already in control of the headlines on a day-to-day basis because of his efficient business practice within the industry. He was able to produce his Newspapers at next to nothing by manufacturing the tree pulp used and controlling the channel of production down to his papers, the San Francisco Examiner, and eventually the New York Journal (Which became a leading Newspaper). He teamed up with Henry Dupont to manufacture the ink used in the New York Journal and the partnership began to grow. ALONG CAME HEMP Hemp grows 4 times faster than the timber used for tree pulp by Hearst. Hemp grows annually and can be grown more times Hemp produces a better quality paper. Hemp can be grown in any region of the United States. Since Hemp grew so fast and it grew in every region, Hearst could not stop the middle class farmer from decentralizing the industry. Hearst knew that he could not provide the intellectual property to keep Hemp from destroying his industry and replacing it with middle class producers. In other words he was afraid of the free market. He was afraid of us… he had to stop it! Dupont and Hearst knew then that not many Americans understood the difference between Hemp and Cannabis. So they used it against the Americans by claiming Cannabis will make you rape and kill your sister if smoked, illustrating the dangers of inhaling by using grim reapers in their newspapers with joints. And people believed it! Time and Time again they would use this propaganda through the New York Journal, claiming that Mexicans bringing Marijuana across the border would sleep with White Wives and take White Jobs. They were also saying this about Black Americans who took up smoking and started the Jazz movement. Dupont’s banker was Andrew Mellon, Mellon bank of Pittsburgh (5th largest bank at the time). Andrew Mellon had a Nephew, Harry Anslinger. Andrew Mellon financially backed Anslinger and threw all of his weight into convincing the U.S. treasury that Marijuana is dangerous and it should be heavily regulated by way of taxation and prohibition. The treasury could use a program that would generate that much income for the government so in June of 1930 the treasury gave birth to the Federal Bureau of Narcotics. Ansligner hated Mexicans, Blacks, and Cannabis. He was on a mission to eliminate all of them. Immediately Ansliger waged war on Cannabis regurgitating claims made by Hearst in his Newspapers. (Success stories followed in the New York Journal). Then, in 1937 Anslinger approached congress with intent to fully regulate all Cannabis. The entire meeting was comprised of Ansliger making emotional outbursts and attempting to offer evidence, all of which was newspaper clippings out of Hearst’s Newspapers. With the exception of one congressman, all agreed and the act passed, Marijuana became criminal giving birth to the Drug War. Not to mention Hearst, Dupont, and Mellon were all filthy rich now and had their hands in official pockets. But the story doesn’t stop here. Andrew Mellon had to study the enemy, He saw what happened with Alcohol Prohibition and he knew it wouldn’t be long before the public caught on. Mr. Mellon then financed Pharmaceutical companies through government grants and private equity to try to create a synthetic substitute for the over 60 different medicinal properties Cannabis contains. (They have yet to accomplish this goal) If you look into the history you will find that fossil fuels would have never existed if it wasn’t for this intervention in the market place. CANNABIS CAN SUPPLY THE ENTIRE NATION WITH ENERGY ON ONLY 1% OF U.S. LAND. ALL CARBON CLEAN. (AND REMEMBER IT GROWS EVERYWHERE) This is where the Federal Reserve comes in. The Federal Reserve System does not want to see the decentralization of resources towards localism because if that were to happen the Fed would lose a stronghold on the liquidity pools it artificially creates. It would also mean they couldn’t use the Carbon Tax to consolidate wealth across the world. With Cannabis being legal and having over 25,000 uses there would be no way to compete against local and more sustainable banks. So, the Federal Reserve uses banks like the Mellon to fund the DEA and keep money flowing and keep marijuana illegal. The Fed knows that with Cannabis being legal our GDP would boom but not in favor of large monopolies like the FED, but quite the contrary. This is why I always say...the day we legalize it is the day we end the FED! Thank you for your answers in advance. more

NEVER TO CHANGE BUT outside the scope of the bottom line paragraph, you have THIS: 1) All jobs will still be appraised by their free market value, so those working in professions that would otherwise earn above the base wage would obtain shares of the public money equal to the excess of the base over the market value of their job, but capped at the amount that would not enable for the Bottom Line Paragraph to hold true. (There must be enough to pay the base wage to all.) 2) Any sole proprietor, manager, or business owner would document what they would normally earn every 2 weeks and receive a public share of money close to that amount, unless it exceeds that cap of funds necessary to guarantee the enumerated rights above in the "Bottom Line Pagragraph". 3) Unions in all professions including teachers, doctors, attorneys, civil servants, accountants, any viable profession would have a preferred stock in the public money before distributions of salaries. Similar to high income earners. They would get secondary priority over high income earners and employers, but capped at the amount needed to pay base wages to all. 4) There would of course be a reserve of public money for all services required of a Government both to meet the needs of the "bottom line" and to provide any other basic government services that cannot be omitted to sustain soverignty. This would also be capped at the amount of the Bottom Line Paragraph. 5) There will be and unfortunately there will have to be humane reasonable actions taken against those who are not working when required to work, which could include confinement without pain and suffering (like white-collar jail), salary cuts, or seized possessions....there wouldn't be a way around this, BUTTTTT.... -------a. Every job will have sick days and vacations days -------b. On top of this, every night you leave work you will role dice, If you land a 12, your lack of work will be enforced the most heavily the subsequent day. If you role a 4 or less, your lack of working will hardly be enforced. You get some randomness from this. -------c. Very Important: In higher education and university and career studies, your grades and passing of examinations will be your measurement of work...in place of a job. So you see, everybody would have incentive to work, and if the economy went bad the working people at the bottom would be protected, but they would also to an extent be required to contribute. Free Loaders would face reasonable consequences. Couldn't this work in America or perhaps a smaller democratic country like in Europe?UNDER THIS SYSTEM: Everybody would go to work. Nobody would sit home. If you had no job, the Government would put you to work somewhere, or put you into training based on your educational capabilities. You will be utilized, you will contribute.It's not fascism because it WILL be equal opportunity to choose your work. But if you have no options left, you are re-assigned to a job.Employers can fire, and you would be re-assigned, but you would be free to search for a better job. I’m Moving To Mexico Dear Mr. President, Senate and House of Representatives: I'm planning to move my family and extended family into Mexico for my health, and I would like to ask you to assist me. We're planning to simply walk across the border from the U.S. into Mexico , and we'll need your help to make a few arrangements. We plan to skip all the legal stuff like visas, passports, immigration quotas and laws. I'm sure they handle those things the same way you do here. I have seen several of them, but for this supposed 'free info for these free grants' costs just a couple dollars to pay for s&h (but in fine print it is only for 7 day *more expensive* unless you cancel) For example, one (actually most) say something to the effect of 'Government agencies & private foundations are required to distribute billions of dollars to people like you and you never have to pay back one dime' ?is this true, either the first part that gov & foundations are required to do that & if so, why? and the 2nd part, you dont have to pay back a dime. (well i do know that a real 'GRANT' you don't have to pay back. ****I guess the REAL QUESTION is: (I am assuming that, at least these or most of these ads are not real, but ?does anyone know? ****is there 'truly grant money to be given to the needy, the low income, to start a business, to pay off dept, etc. (as is my situation) are there any such grants???? AND if there are, ****is there a FREE place to look up to see if I qualify? Is there any program anywhere that is not charging a single penny to try and get in that will actually pay you? I am a married man who is almost 37 with a wife and teenage boy who eats more than a horse ( I swear). I have failed miserably at starting up my own painting business (homes and so forth) Our finances are totally shot, the bills do not stop and garnishments have already begun, even though there is no money in the bank. On top of those bills the bank adds their overdraft and garnishment fees that I have to pay on top of the debts I already have. I am so frustrated with the online deals for government grants or surveys. They all tell you it is free to get in, yet every stinking time you go to sign up they ask for some $ either for shipping & handling or join an affiliate program where you have to buy something else from some other company. Well, the problem is, we do not have any $ in which to start from. The few survey programs I started over a year ago have never paid me one single penny so I stray away from those.
