Summarized story: My marriage went sour and I slept with my brother in laws best friend who is 16 last week on two separate occasions. I confessed to my husband and he threw me out, then let me come back but I had to sleep in the pantry as a punishment. Finally we made peace again yesterday and me and my husband had sex last night and slept in the same bed again for the first time in ages. I thought at last our marriage might be saved. Well this evening when he came in from work, he said he wanted to have a civil talk and work out things. He asked me who I cheated with, and when he heard it was the 16 year old friend of his brother he turned to fury and demanded to know where it was. I told him it was in our bed and the couch the second time. My husband slapped me and then with his brothers help (his brother lives with us) dragged the bed mattress, sheets, and then the couch into the yard and burned them all and then threw my clothes down on the floor and told me to pack up and leave. He called me a pedophile and disrespectful for cheating in our bed. He said I didn't even respect him at all and hes banned from talking to his daughter, who is 6, and I have grown to love her fondly like my own. So again I am sleeping on the mattress in the pantry tonight and I guess I am leaving tomorrow and my marriage is over. I am only 20 and feel like I have seriously ruined my whole future now. I have little money and my mom lives in Knoxville (an hour away) and I hate to drag myself back to her and explain it all. I know I have no legal right to much so I will loose in the divorce (my husbands family owned his house for over 80 years and his business is in his name). I doubt I will get anywhere as my state still has adultery as grounds for divorce and it will likely to be used against me. So my last question now is: how do you start over? I have lost my soul mate because of my screw up and I doub there is much more I can do to save my marriage. I have begged and made my husband see that I love him still. I hate to loose my brother in law, who I am fond of, and my stepdaughter who I love as my own child (her mother was my husbands first wife and she died). Does it sound like there is any hope for a reconciliation with my husband? I really want to leave my 9-5 job that was earning 6 figures and up a year. I want to start a profitable online business that could make me six figures or more a year. Right now, I have a few ideas for the online business, but Im not sure if any of these could make me six figures a year or more. Here are the ideas. 1. Open Question: Am I right to be angry at my boyfriends mother?

Im 26 weeks pregnant and my boyfriend of 3 years is the father. I was on birth control but it failed so it wasnt like we were trying to get pregnant in such bad circumstances. Anyway we are both only 20 which is still very young to have a baby in Ireland. I had a very very low paid job working with horses untill recently when I had to give up and move home with my parents as I was unable to work any longer because of the pregnancy. My boyfriend works in his families business and they also pay him very badly so he has no option but to live in his parents home as he cant afford to rent. My parents have been very supportive of us and are helping us out in any way they can. My boyfriends mother refuses to give us any help at all. My bf is trying his best, giving all he can afford for the baby. Since his mother found out about the pregnancy she has been extra mean to my bf and decided that he has to start paying rent for living in her house- this will cost him a lot of the very tiny wage they pay him. My health insurance does not cover all of my medical fees for the pregnancy so I still had to pay 1000 euro. My mom said she would pay half if my bf could come up with another 500. As his parents take all his money he asked them for a loan of the 500. His mother went crazy sayin how dare he ask and that he has to support the child without any help from her or his father. My parents ended up paying the whole 1000. (I will pay them back once I can work again). My bf parents are very wealthy (fancy cars, heaps of hollidays, eating out EVERY night) so its not klike it would kill them to help out to get their first grandchild safely into the world! They say they want to involved with the baby and I know they will spend heaps of money spoiling the child once it arrives and try to buy it so it will love them most They wont help out on anything that matters! Im really annoyed. She just wants to take all my bfs wages so he will have to ask her for money so that she can control him. You would be mad too right?Actually, Mr. Awsome I have a university degree in equine science but you still cant work with horses when your 6 months pregnant now can you?At the free pregnancy care in Ireland you have to que up all day for a scan, you are put in an overcrowded ward at the hospital and you dont even get a proper doctor at the birth. Open Question: school appeal for refund after ectopic pregnancy-- please help!!?

(Sorry this is so long, you have to have the whole story in order to understand my problem, thank you for your help in advance!) My fiance started his classes on January 11th and on that day we paid the $1,500 for tuition that his student loans & scholarships didn't cover. Well, on January 13th we found out we were expecting. On the 17th, I starting having complications and was in and out of the ER, doctor's offices etc.(and in excruciating pain, mind you) until Jan. 20th when I had to have emergency surgery for an Ectopic Pregnancy. NOW, the problem we have is that he withdrew from his classes not even two weeks after they began because he was already too far behind and didn't want to risk getting bad grades. We were under the impression we would be getting our $1500 back and that his loans would be refunded as well. Well, the other day we got a bill in the mail for almost $500. He called up there today and they are saying that because of when he withdrew they are keeping 25% of the tuition, and they did refund his loans-- but are keeping the money WE paid. We want to appeal this, however I found on the school's website (University of South Carolina) that "Grounds for consideration of an appeal will be restricted to only those circumstances personally experienced by the enrolled individual with whom the University has a direct relationship. Loss or illness of a family member, close associate, or employee, and/or difficulty in family-operated businesses, are excluded from consideration." I have been trying to get a hold of their Registrar's Office, but no such luck yet. Would you take this to mean that because I am the one who had the Ectopic Pregnancy (even though it was life threatening) and he was the baby's father, that this is not grounds for an appeal? Again, sorry this is so long.. but I have $30,000 worth of hospital bills just from Jan. 17th-21st, so we REALLY need our $1500 back. Thank you! more

Open Question: living with boyfriend, should the person making more $ have to pay more living expenses?

Dated boyfriend 4 years, moved in with eachother a year and half ago. For rent and bills we have split it down 50/50. I work 25 hours a week and started a photography business about a year ago and still trying to make money on that. Boyfriend works full time + over time, makes 3x more, and his paychecks are 5x bigger than mine. I never thought about it till yesterday and brought it up, he said that he doesn't pay more than me because he is saving for "our future" and if I had extra $ I would waste it on say cable or clothes etc.., thats right we have no cable (which i am fine w/). hes cheap, his family brought him up that way and he feels i am and grew up spoiled, i just feel like hes putting me on a leash. and when i tell him about this, hes like "i put $200 to fix your car, i pay when we go out to eat, your taking advantage of me, you dont respect me... etc. i don't have any extra spending $, it all goes to living expenses. Am I being ridiculous or is he being a cheap? How to handle this? more

Open Question: my wife of 11 years gave me restraining order after a heated argument,no hitting, is it going towards divorce?

She told a counselor once a year ago. I don't think I love him any more. Counselor asked what or why did you fall in love. he took me places, we did everything, he had the world in his hands. She has lied to me about credit cards, commissions paid to pay her hidden credit cards and we have a 9 and 6 year olds. I had to make all their snacks, lunches, take them to practice, karate, cook dinner, make money to help pay for bills. She buys clothes and 200.00 to 400.00 of shoes, knowing it is rough and econimically hard in todays time. She works from home and get upset when I cant pu the kids. She has been disrespectuful and flirtatious and shows intrest in others, even when she is out with me. Kids and I got negelected and Her and I blew up and we got into it at a party and then the next morning too. I got TRO and she said she was frightened for her and my kids safety but that is bull honkey. She fibbed on the report and God only knows what else she said... She has been on depression drugs, bad childhood after a divorce at 5 years and saw some violence. She is 38 and has tried to buy a home last year. I lost my job last may, prior to starting a business and instead of saying hey! you'll get thru this and give support, she says to me "I don't think I Love you anymore" Is this a Superficial wife or did I get punished from God. I truly love my kids and wife a regret the heated argument but the most heart wrenching feeling is not being there for my kids and thinking. I cannot cook them their eggs and bacon in the morning before school, be there for them, go to my son's baseball games, practice, karate, make them healthy lunches. I feel bad cause I don't know is it lunchables, no good dinners, is still neglect at home or did my wife listen to my heart during our heated argument that lead to my being kick out of my house I bought before I got married and I am the primary parent that loves and pays real attention to my kids. Open Question: Why does he treat me so bad?

I just had a baby with my ex. We were together for 2 years. He hadnt had a real gf before, I was told by his sister that I was the first one. Everything was all good up until some other girl have him attention and ever since then, hes changed. He left me for her and came back to me when it didnt work out. I stupidly took him back thinking he wanted to be with me again and we could be together and things would be good. But then he left me AGAIN for her. Things ended a couple months between her and him and he texted me all these messages sayin how sorry he was and he will always love me and cant wait to see the baby when shes born (did the pregnancy alone without him). A couple days after that, he started distancing himself again. He said he didnt love me anymore and he was sorry for misleading me in those texts. Now that we have this baby, he refers to me as "baby mama" and dont respect me at all. He talks to me like Im an idiot and a loser (especially when around his friends) when in all actuality hes the loser. He still hasnt crossed paths with my mom. He avoids her and comes to see the baby when shes at work because he knows my mom will snap on him for all the things hes put me through. Things wouldnt be so bad if he didnt think he was the cats meow. I dont know what happend to him. He will bring something up and then when I ask questions, he says its none of my business. Hes almost 30, lives with mom and even borrows money off of her because he doesnt have a job, he barely has any money to ever put gas in his car. He claims he goes to the bars and dont pay for drinks but smiles as if hes sleeping with the bartender and thats why he dont have to pay for much. I wouldnt be so bad if I didnt still have a little bit of feelings left for him, but I try to talk myself out of it because hes not good for me. I just dont understand why hes acting like this. He admitted to bein an a$$hole but he just doesnt care. Is he making up for lost time? I dont know what it is but I honestly dont deserve to be treated with NO respect like this esp when Im the one that is taking care of the baby. He says the baby is his world but he dont put fourth much effort to see her or help me out with her expenses (he does but its almost as if its when he feels like it). He got her name tattooed on his chest to show off to people how hes a proud dad but only acts like one (like I said) when he feels like it. I dont know what to do. How do I handle this? and why is he being like this? He messed everything up and now its as if its all my fault. more

Resolved Question: Feeding the Hungry as an atheist?

In the future, after I have worked in the business industry for 5 or so years and saved up some money, I want to travel around the world and feed the hungry. I want to do the kind of work missionaries do, except without any religion, spirituality, or belief system involved. Is there any type of organization like that? Anything where people will save other's lives without ulterior motives involved? This is one of my dreams to do, and I will find out a way to do it on my own if I have to; even if I have to start my own organization!! If you know of any organizations like this, please tell me!! Open Question: how should I be living my life? Not enjoying it.?

Okay, so this past week, my family is all on vacation and i am home alone. Dont worry, I went away too to a couple weeks ago. But since I have been home, I have definitely noticed some things. I am doing pilot school and doing a business diploma at a local college as well. This pretty much leaves me no time for friends or fun things. I am kind of an art person, like right brain type very much. I find doing the pilot stuff very hard and not really my cup of tea. I dont like pressure at all and find institutions just super taxing. So this week, I was kind of annoyed with my instructors at the airport and decided to chill a bit. For one thing my family is christian and my mom is super paranoid about drinking at all because her family had problems with alcoholism. I havent drank anything in like a year since i moved back home cuz the last time i did and my mom found out she started crying and stuff. Like she really really hates it. I hate to have it bother her like that so i dont. But i find going to clubs really fun and those people are like so much more fun to hang out with than people at church who are very stuffy and up tight. Plus i am a ridiculuous amount of trouble trying to meet a christian girlfriend because that is what is generally accepted as the right thing to do in christianity generally. i have plenty of opportunity outside of the christian circle it seems. Anyways, so the main point is, I used to have problems with depression, thinking life was pointless and such but now I dont. Although on most days, I feel very unsatisfied, like there is absolutely no fun in life and it is all toil. That is when I am doing pilot school alot. i really dont like it. I So this week i am pretending i am not doing it and i actually went out to a club and had lots of fun although i kinda felt pretty guilty about it just cuz my mom would be so upset. However, what do you think? I sometimes envy my friends who have normal lifestyles but dont achieve any great status. Although I often wonder if they will ever marry good because it seems most women are looking more and more for the rich rather than quality. I would like to just work and relax and not do so much crap and have so much pressure running my life. I enjoy things that dont involve lots of pressure and sorta to do with being the artist type. But I dont want to be poor either. I am thinking about futures market, because i am researching it and it doesnt actually seem that complicated as people make it out to be and although there is stress, there is noone pressuring you. It is only financial stress and seeing as i am not hugely caught up in money, if i played safe until i was good at it, I would prolly enjoy and make lots of money. But just what do you think about being a pilot is the main question? I have told everyone that is what i am going to do and it would look lame if i changed careers for the second time. And how should i be doing my life to have more fun and enjoyment? more

A friend of mine ...who is a big believer in perfectionism.... He wants lot of things in a perfect way .... he is very good at construction related jobs / electrial jobs / graphics/ computer repair jobs and software related jobs .... NO he doesn't work in any of these industries . ...but he is a very good STREET SMART ...not a book-smart..becuz (1) he doen't believe in labor job (2) he is a entreprenur ...a truely business minded guy.... very talented ...very focused ....very skilled .....individual.. he is in college ...doing computer engineering degree ....for past 7 yrs ...he takes one class at a time ... and doesn't care much when he will graduate !!! which is a good mentality .....but that means he HAS LOT OF FREE TIME.... and whnever i hangout with him ..i always get into lot of arguments ...and lot of back and forth attacks .... sometimes its few simple stuff ....sometimes its a philosophical discussions... he has a temper issue and crazy attitude ..(angriness) On the other hand - I am a very laid back - somewhat lazy but person with values and principles ... I like to have my own space and time to prepare for my studies / school / etc. I graudated with Biotech degree and worked in pharmaceutical industry (not a technical job but mostly straightforwrad jobs ) - then got laid off after 2 yrs and now searching for jobs / learning new things / taking one course towards my MS degree.... NOw WE BOTH have lot of free time .. I hang out with him a lot ....but most of the time it feels to me that HE LOOKS DOWN on me ... (He is rich , talented , skilled and he knows how to talk).. I am still making my way up ... looking for jobs in pharmaceutical industry ...so my jobs are not As technical as his jobs .... but whnever i get into arguments with him ....he calls me "slowass, slow guy, stupid, idiot, etc " ... most of the time i don't care much ..... but many times he gives those comments in front of other ppl as well. I do admit ...i am not as skilled / talented or street smart as he is ..... + Pharmaceuctial is great industry but IT IS NOT MY IDEAL job .... my ideal job is something I am still SEARCHING ...but what else AM I SUPPOSED TO DO ..if I don't have MONEY ...right ??? I am supposed to make money and pay my bills ....while i look for my ideal career ....and buy my ideal house/condo ...and buy an ideal car ....and live in a ideal way according to my friend ...i don't have too many high standards ....high goals .....(i do have high goals its just I don't want to SHARE my goals with the guy who CONSTANTLy criticizes me ...) I know i don't need to be this sensitive and maybe I should talk back to my friend ...but .... does him being very streeet smart ...give him right to criticize me for my not so skilled lifestyle ????? I just started university and I'm majoring in European Studies. The thing is, I am not really that interested in history, politics, religion, and those kinds of things...But even less interested in anything else like business, medicine, math, psychology, engineering. I just chose european studies because it's the less painful, but still, I don't enjoy it at all, and really doubt I'll enjoy any career relating to it..like being a teacher..translator..researcher.. I live in Oklahoma and found out about him on a website advertising medical tourism. I traveled to New York to have some dental impants placed. After having the work done I had a friend who is a dentist, but does not do implants, check out the dental work done for me and he said it was excellent work using the best materials.He said that.my Oral Surgeon did it at about half the price of any other Oral Surgeon in the country.Now that wouldn't be the case for every patient. Because I was disabled he did the work at Bulgarian prices. The Oral Surgeon wanted me to let all my friends about him and I WANTED to be able to tell as many people as I can. We came up with an idea to where If I could get him some business he would give me a "finder's fee". I have thought of running a classified ad to start (It is the cheapest way) in a local Oklahoma Newspaper. If that works out I would move on to a bigger ad. (That is part of the question- Should I start out in the Classifieds?). I've done construction work all my life and do not know much about advertising. My dad grew up in a poor family. He has a good paying job and his and my mother's house is almost paid for. But he acts like he's one step away from the poor house. He, honestly, believes that he is still poor. My mother decided she wanted a new gas grill for the patio so I started looking for one. I found one that costs a little over $1000. My mother likes it and wants it. But mydad would rather get a cheap grill that doesn't cost over $100. He tells her that he can't afford anything more than that. He is not poor. Basically, my life hasn't been it's best.This is before i was alive by the way. My mom had a really really bad childhood, her mom didn't care about her, bad private things happened, then things started to look up for her, she got married to a wonderful man, had a great job and then wanted children but was told she couldn't have them. She left her husband with no money and no home just because she couldn't have children. She then got pregnant after having IVF but was with a man that she didn't want to have a child with, and she didn't know she could have children so when she found out she was pregnant it came as a complete shock. Years past and she met my dad, had me. They were never married and she left him shortly after having me and lived in a tiny caravan because she didn't have a job and no family to look after me. Luckily my mom and dad are friends and my mom goes to visit like every other day. She then met my brothers father, and he needed someone to sort out his work for him because he had his own Business so my mom then had a job which was great. She then got pregnant with my brother and again things started to look up. My brothers father looked after my from when i was really young, like a couple of weeks old and treated my like his own daughter, even when my brother was born. He was about 10 years older than my mom, and when my brother was 4 (i was 9) he died of a heart attack. That really made life BAD, because one my brother had lost his dad & my mom had lost her partner, and she was working for him so then she had no job & had to try and look after 2 kids. Then we moved into a flat until i was about 10 or 11. We then moved into a really nice house where we are currently living now. (I'm 13 nearly 14 now). After my brothers father died my brother turned EVIL! And when i say that i mean really really bad behaved. My mom got to the point where she nearly took him to a care home. He was so bad to look after and just didn't help me or my mom at all and made our life hell! Now, in 2010 things aren't that good either. My moms job is too clean for old people and sometimes take them out. The one women is in hospital and my mom and her family have been told that she might not live till the weekend. The other women has a brain tumor and isn't doing well at all either. They're my moms jobs, so now she's basically lost her jobs because their in hospital. My mom is good enough to not want to go on benefits so she might be working as a dinner lady at my brothers school, which yeah, isn't good money but it's better than nothing. Also, my mom looks after 2 little boys before and after school about 3 times a week and so she's fortunately still got that! But i just feel that everything is going wrong! If i'm honest, i'm not happy. I don't enjoy school, and when i come home, threes always some sign of bad news. Me & my mom feel that we have been through SO, SO much & could really do with some good news or something good to happen. Even winning the lottery would be pretty good as that would mend our money problem. I would love to move to another country and start over again,- but i know it won't happen :(- and my friends and other people at school are annoying me aswell, so that just adds to the list. Open Question: Would Prenaptual work when my partner has kids, assets and his trust, but I don't?

Hi, I am going to get married in NZ soon. I am from another country and not very familiar with the law in NZ. I know that my partner has a house (in his trust), his own business (practically running with me), shares (in his trust) and his family has another trust amongst them. I don't have any assets, very little share (about 5k), and working with him meaning I don't have any career. I just started a small business between NZ and my own country, but still very small and not making any money. He has 2 kids, and paying for their child support. Lots of friends are warning me that I need to have strong will to get married with him as kids could decide to live with him, or ask for money at any stage of their lives. Now, I have seen some of my friends struggling with their ex partners because they had Prenaptual agreement, and couldn't get enough money after divorcing and had to leave NZ. I was not very interested in having Prenaptual with him... thinking it might put me into under unfavorable conditions when he dies / we divorce. I don't want to think about the divorce before getting married, but he has 2 ex partners and I think I should be careful... He said his ex partner didn't get anything because he had his assets in his trust. Does it mean I will not have anything, even if we live more than 5 or 10 years, and have to leave this country? ... I went to see a doctor over the weekend... a walk in clinic, because I don't have insurance or a regular doctor. I had to pay for the visit, up front... and I waited about 2 hours, before seeing the doctor.... who then looked me over for about 30 seconds. Then he told me what I already knew..... I had an ear infection. This little trip to the doctor cost me $225 for a 30 second visit...so that the doctor could tell me what I already knew, just so he could prescribe me a 4 dollar generic antibiotic....(free at Publix) ... So basically... it costs 229 dollars, and several hours of your time, to get a simple antibiotic prescription...... but you can buy pretty much any kind of illegal drug... or prescription pain killer drug for that matter....RIGHT OFF THE STREET.... for less money than you would pay at a Walgreens !! Maybe drug dealers should start selling antibiotics too....? .... Does everyone see how inefficient this was ? Waste my time... the doctors time... and most importantly, my money ! We have more choices on where to get our cars fixed, than where to get health problems fixed. If you don't like the estimate a mechanic gives you... you take your business elsewhere. To even see a doctor, you have pay UP FRONT, unless you have insurance...and if they don't fix you.. .you still pay ! more

I recently joined two Stampin Up groups. [For those of you who don't know, Stampin Up is a home based business that you buy scrapbooking stuff through]. One of the groups I have meet with twice now, the other group hasn’t started yet. The demonstrator from the first group is very nice and helpful, but she is also very advanced in the stampin up community, let’s call her D1. The demonstrator from the second group, let’s call her D2, is beginning. My relationship with D1 is professional, she is very busy so she doesn’t get back to emails sometimes and she has actually missed an appointment with me, which was somewhat upsetting. My relationship with D2 is friendlier and she is very charismatic. Even though we haven’t had a meeting yet, I talk to her more than I do with D1. I am just getting started in scrapbooking and I plan on making a very large purchase in the next couple of weeks because there is something called sale-a-bration on right now. [Sale-a-bration is where you spend $65.00 Canadian and you receive a free set of stamps]. Anyway, I plan on spending roughly $1200.00 which then allows me to receive a lot of free product plus other bonuses and discounts. Anyway, I had planned on purchasing through D1 simply because, at the time of making this decision, D2 hadn’t set up her demonstratorship yet. I had expressed to D1 that I am planning on making a large purchase, telling her a rough dollar amount, and she attempted to get me to become a demonstrator myself to receive more of a discount, but when I declined it, she hasn’t really attempted more of a conversation regarding the purchase other than when I brought it up to her last week telling her that I still planned on making it. So today I got an email from the second demonstrator regarding the monthly groups and she said that as an added bonus, she is offering an additional 20% off of purchases- for me that equals to $240.00 off, which I would just turn around and spend that money on more product. I’m somewhat torn on what to do. I feel like I’m somewhat obligated to buy it through D1, but receiving an additional 20% off is a really good deal, especially when I’m spending a lot of money to begin with. I thought these guys were so damn amazing. I would pay attention to the words and wouldn't know half of them so that made me appreciate the artist even more due to there level of intelligence. But it doesn't end there. Later on I started searching up certain references these guys and other artist had made in their songs. As i was doing some searching i came to realize how much people like the Wu, Nas, Immortal Technique, Jedi Mind Tricks and more know. These people are putting out intelligent messages, while on the other hand, our next generation who truly seem to be going downhill (unfortunately), are listening to bullsh*t that's all about sex, party and bullsh*t like spending money. Sadly the majority of people who listen to this aren't living this lifestyle and must be in f***ing imagination land. The economy is bad, our government is failing, and corporations are becoming the head honcho. Now does it really seem like its time to party. Let's be for real we should be teaching our kids and younger siblings how to survive. Not to get used to getting money and spending it in a night. I personally feel that the messages these artist are sending out are what the companies who gave them a contract want them to put out. This is only marketing and it's only for business, getting used to that will leave them no where. In the end I'm not saying to ban this music, i mean it is enjoyable when your at a party or something I do admit. But I'd rather my younger siblings learn something they'll keep them in good health, and teach them about themselves, the past of their culture, and how Black, Latin, Middle Eastern people and more weren't living like savages or slaves as we seem to be portrayed to be by this decadent power structure. I hold a business account running for the last 6 months fine no problems in it. Yesterday suddenly when i checked my balance the account the balance is zero, £64000 is taken from the account. and the trasaction mention Referral Manchester Premeir mentioning, I called to the bank call centre and ask where is my money gone they said it is showing that a transcation is made to a Football donation or so, i said i never done this, stop this transaction for a long hold they said they are putting the transactiion in dispute, further i called and asked how the payment was made ? i asked was it internet or my card? or what, imagine they said none of it, and the transaction is mentioning Debit. Fine later in the evening at 4 they said to me that the funds are taken by the barclays. I said we are having a legit business just started in 6 months , never had a problem and when we are increasing our turnover and business u have taken the money, i said i am still not satisfied whats going on, i need to go to the police to report it and report to my solicitor, they said there is no need beause ur money is safe with the bank and is with us but we can't give u the reason at the moment that why this thing had happened. my concern is, u know if the banks shuts the bank account they just simply send the letter of closing the accont, but this wasn't the case, and if money laundrying is done they close and seize the account as well. but in these both cases, i can access the account check my statement, payments all active, but the money is missing, in sense of whole account is wipe off. Balance Nil. They said to me they will get back to me on monday with the updates. my business manager haven't called me up yet to check what is the situation going on. have anybody have been the victim like this, did they get there money back???I have informed the Ombudsman as well, they said they will write a letter to barclays what they have done it. and after there reply or so than if its not resolved they will take the matter further that what the ombudsman said more

Voting Question: why leave a failed corporation in 'suspended' state?

I worked for a few start-up companies before, and many of them have failed since then. When I checked for those failed corporations on the Secretary of State's website, they showed up as 'suspended' rather than 'dissolved'. I did some more research and realized that this is actually quite common for failed businesses - people just walk away from them. My question are: why didn't they dissolve the businesses? Was it just to save money such as filing fees, lawyer fees etc.? Is there a negative consequence for leaving the corporation in the suspended state? more

I really want to own my boutique/clothing store. im not saying right now but one day i have to own my own boutique because im creative, fashionable, trendy and artistic and not to mention i like business! runs in the family i guess cuz all my family has had their own businesses! but i want to name it after my daughter or a family name! = ) i want it to be cute but luxury. im many things..a makeup artist. a bartender. a photographer. a writer and a musician lol i do alot of stuff and also not to mention i love making videos and filming! ----then i had a really good idea and thought about opening my own buiz to help and teach people to film and take pics and take music classes! ive never heard of a place that actually teaches you to film or make videos- would that be a good idea? this is a speech i had to wright for school could you guys read it and tell me what you think of it thanks. ohh and if you can think of a better title could you tell me Two dollars a gallon and counting In 1969, a massive oil spill from an offshore drilling platform off the coast of Santa Barbara leaked approximately 70,000 barrels of oil into the Pacific Ocean. The leaked oil spread nearly 650 miles along the coast of California over a period of three months. It is estimated that 8000 birds and 15000 fish were killed in the disaster. After this incident, the citizens of Santa Barbara started a coalition to ban offshore drilling. They received nearly 20000 signatures on their petition and were granted their wish, ensuring that Santa Barbara’s coast was protected from drilling. These people have stood up for their coast’s environment; now why can’t the rest of the US? The oil industry argues that offshore oil drilling will make many jobs, that the US coasts have a lot of oil, and that offshore oil platforms do not affect tourism. This is completely untrue though which is why the United States needs to ban all off shore oil-drilling of the east and west coasts of the US; They need to do this because offshore oil drilling will not make many jobs, the US does not have much oil along the coasts, and offshore oil platforms will destroy tourism. One of the problems with offshore oil drilling is that the new platforms will not make many jobs. Although the oil industry says that nearly 1 million jobs would be created, this is incorrect. As stated by MSNBC.com writer Mark Murray “only 22-25 people work on each oil rig at a time”. The oil industry would argue that this statistic is false this is also completely untrue though as the figure simply states how many people work on the platform at a time. Also by this estimate only one hundred thousand jobs will be made for the proposed 4000 new oil platforms, which is nowhere close to the oil industry’s proposed number of jobs. Another thing the oil industry does not want people to realize is that because of massive offshore oil-drilling platforms jobs will actually be lost. People that rely on the ocean such as fishermen, dive teams, and marine merchantmen would lose jobs. Virginia would be hurt heavily by offshore oil because of this. Because the ocean is Virginia’s main source of revenue we would lose money that could have been spent on Virginias Public Works. Tourism would also be affected by offshore oil drilling. Tourism is another large form of income for Virginia Beach. Surfing is a major reason for the massive tourist presence in Virginia Beach. If an oil spill were to occur from one of the proposed oil drilling platforms off the East Coast the beaches would be closed down until the oil was cleaned up, which has in some very severe cases taken up to three months to do. In 1982 a massive oil spill closed down San Padre Island off the coast of Texas for an entire summer. In a 2009 Politifact.com article written by Aaron Sharockman, ‘offshore oil drilling has cost the tourism industry before’ states “Texas beaches in the South Padre Island area lost tourism revenues between 4 million and 4 1/2 million [dollars]”. Another way offshore oil drilling would affect tourism is by forcing local businesses to lower prices. The reason for these price changes would be; that since these massive eyesores would disrupt the views from U.S. beaches the only reason tourists would tolerate them would be by much cheaper prices. This could then result in local businesses going out of business. This would then affect the amount of tourism, which in turn would start this cycle over again. Another debate about offshore oil drilling is how much oil is located along the east and west coasts. As stated by The Carnegie Endowment for International Peace writer Whitney Leonard’s in ‘Five alternatives that make more sense than offshore oil’. The oil industry says that approx. 10% of the worlds oil supply is located on the east and west coasts. This is also an untruth which has been stated by the oil industry, as “only about 1.4 percent of the worlds supply of oil” comes from offshore oil drilling off the coast of the United States. 1.4 percent of the worlds oil supply is approx. 18 billion barrels of oil. This may sound like a lot but the US would use that amount of oil in only about a little over two years. The reason we would use this much oil is because the US consumes nearly 25% of the world’s oil supply, while the US only produces 10% of it. This will very soon become a major issue unless better fuel alternatives are found. Because of the small amount of oil located in the world waste is not an option, so when massive oil spills occur it is not only a disaster for the environment it also causes a massive devastation to the economy. Hey, i am now getting ready to go into my GCSE exams in the next few months. I have already applied for two colleges (1 backup course incase i dont get into my desired course..) and i am trying to make sure ill be alriht in case i dont get into College.. If i end up not in education in september i NEED to make money so my mum can keep me in the house (she loses child money if i leave education) and i will need to start making money for the family and make my contribution.
