Hannah Montana Poisoning Fans - A Top Story This Week

Hannah Montana Poisoning Fans was a top story on Friday. Here it is again: (antiMusic) Gene Simmons gave the music business a very lucrative message: mass merchandising works! A lot of today's "stars" have taken this to heart and are now licensing their names to whole lines of different products. Take tween sensation Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana for instance, who has multitudes of young fans with their parents credits card lining up to buy anything associated with their idol.

The problem is that most of these products are made in countries that don't care about silly things like safety. Now the lead paint problem that plagued the toy industry during last year's holiday season has reportedly hit the Disney star and her "products".

Idolator reported this little tid bit of info: "Vinyl backpacks, a vinyl purse and other Hannah Montana items purchased from Wal-Mart (WMT, Fortune 500), Target (TGT, Fortune 500) and Toys 'R' Us stores contained the toxic metal, some of them in excess of the federal standard for lead paint, the CEH said. more

New rocket aims for space tourism market

Entrepreneurs of the new commercial space age plan to start test flights in 2010 of a practical four-engine rocket ship that will take people on Mach 2 thrill rides up to 200,000 feet and which also has the interest of the Air Force.

The design of the Lynx rocket was shown off Wednesday by Xcor Aerospace, a Mojave, Calif.-based company that has spent nine years developing rocket engines.

Fueled by liquid oxygen and kerosene, the two-seat ship - a bit more slender than a small executive jet - is intended to operate like an airliner, making up to four flights a day while using runways for takeoffs and landings like a normal airplane.

CEO Jeff Greason withheld specifics of costs and technical details at a news conference but said he was certain investors will finance construction of the Lynx, which he estimated from will cost "south of $10 million," not including previous development costs. more

Thunderbird International Business Questions asked

Resolved Question: Who is Cecelia Lee the Marketing Director of HOK office in Beijing?

Cecelia Lee Ms. Xiaoxi Li is a Director located in Beijing, China of Hellmuth, Obata and Kassabaum (”HOK“), the U.S.-headquartered architecture, interior design, engineering, planning and consulting firm. Known to the Western World as Cecilia Lee was born in the Northern part of China in 1969 under the name Xiaoxi Li. Cecilia Lee has routinely engaged in questionable, evasive and deceptive legal tactics; when she was persecuted in US court for crimes and for corrupt practices she did not show up in person in court, event not once or stepped on American soil, she was fearful of being arrested. Cecelia Lee claims that she has obtained Master Degree from Thunderbird School of Global Management (“Thunderbird”), a private business school in the United States, and the first and oldest graduate school specializing in international management and global business and another Master from Arizona State University. When she was challenged in court to produce proof of high education, she did not have any information that can support such claims. In fact, pursuant to an order of the court by which the subpoena was issued to Thunderbird School of Global Management for an order to compel the production documentations relating to Lee’s educational background, Thunderbird response dated to July 10, 2008 indicates that once upon a time in America Cecilia Lee has taken total of 15 curses of prerequisite-classes. Moreover, when she was challenged to prove fraudulent health related claims during pre-trial court hearings, Cecelia Lee provided the court with fraudulent medical records that she obtained by bribing hospital officials in China. Since 2005 Cecelia Lee facing civil charges in the United States of America on attempt to murder, make false statements, and commit perjury; false statements (2 counts); libelous posting of slanderous articles, abduction, and grand theft crime, just to name a few and in a way of example. Her trail dates not set as yet. In 2009 the 40-years-old Cecilia Lee started to prepare for her new cyber crime adventure and she recruited the 20-years-old John Travis Flynn who also known to the public as J. T. Flynn to act as her proxy to execute the “perfect cyber crime” with the help of the 60-years-old photographer, Lou Juaneza, the President of Westhoff Studios. Historical criminology has described the underworld role of Fagin-an adult who forces, seduces or teaches minors to commit crimes for him. In contemporary debates, it is sometimes feared that adolescents cunningly evade criminal law by recruiting younger children to commit offences for them. Cecilia Lee is old enough to be Flynn’s mother and Lou Juaneza, the President of Westhoff Studios, is old enough to be Flynn’s grandmother or perhaps Flynn is young enough to be Lou’s grandchild. more

I was accepted into two graduate programs for International Business. Resolved Question: I'm thinking about applying to the International University of Japan for an MBA, good idea?

I want to work in Japan upon graduation, so I think this would be a great way to do that. Also the school seems to be very international, attracting students from all over the world and providing a curriculum with a global focus. The school seems comparable to Thunderbird or other internationally focused business schools. My biggest concern is if I ever leave Japan, will having an MBA from this school cause problems? It seems that if a school is accredited by certain groups, it doesn't matter. Example, London Business School. If I went there I know I wouldn't have a problem. Any information about the school, career opportunities, recognition, etc. would be helpful. more

They seem to have an excellent reputation in regards to international business, but I would like to get opinions about the school and the program beyond what is listed in rankings, etc. I plan on working in corporate finance for an investment bank, internationally and want to know if this school will give me the opportunities to do so. Any knowledge that can be passed on about the school, such as admissions, career, etc. beyond what is on their website, U.S. News, etc. would be great. more
