Bob Paris is owner of Pack Central, a California mail-order company that sends out catalogues twice a year to 50,000 prisoners. The operation carries 10,000 titles on CD and 5,000 on cassette. Paris explains that cassettes account for more than half his business, though, because CDs are contraband at many prisons as they can be broken and used to shank a fool. For similar reasons, he has to remove all screws from the cassette tapes by hand.

So what are you likely to hear if you drive along Cooper Street and Parnall Road in Blackman Township by the remaining state correctional facilities (assuming you have super hearing and can pick up a small cassette deck behind the walls)? For those of you that have Rogers as your home phone service provider,are you happy with the quality of sound etc? I have Bell on 2 landlines,and am happy with it,and would like to get 2 additional phone lines.Bell charged $300 to have that second line installed 1 1/2 yrs ago.It is a regular land line.If you have 2 lines,they give you a real deal on the second one,only $10 a month for it.If you get additional lines,they all go up to the reg price,no reduction.Rogers will install 2 additional lines for a mere $50,but they are through cable,and hooked up to a modem,not exactly a traditional landline.I have heard some say there is static on that type of line,but that price is certainly good,and I'd get a good deal on the phone bills as well,since it would be bundled with my cable and internet.But it's the sound quality and not dropping calls I'm concerned with.These are for use with my business,and I have to have a reliable,good quality connection.If anyone has used both and can comment on any differences they noticed,if any,I'd be appreciative.Thanks.(So yes,I need a total of 4 lines.I will be keeping my 2 I have with Bell.I just want to know the best route to take with additional ones.) more

ok the first paragraph is just kinda backround info to clear up the story, the second paragraph is the actual story. thanks =) Well I'm 14 and I have very... how do I say.. up-tight (??) parents. my mom isn't as bad as my step dad, but my mom does ask what i'm doing on the computer, who i'm texting, what i'm talking about, who i am friends with, and just she seems to kind of be in my business. of course it's ok, because i don't think she goes through my phone laptop etc, even if she did there's nothing being hidden except some bad language lol but then my step dad on the other hand.. oh lord.. he is so obsessed with the internet. and I mean he has passwords to EVERYTHING on the family computer, and i can't be on that thing without it saying i don't have permission. i told my dad about how hectic it is at my house with the internet and stuff, and he bought me my own laptop and told me never to give it to them and to have a password that no one could ever guess, on it. but ANYWAY (sorry i'm getting off track)::::::::; my phone lights up randomly, and the screen will just stay on. sometimes it will make a weird sound when i'm talking on it, and a lot of times the screen acts weird, like this little white bar flashes real quick in the bottom right corner, which happens on my laptop too -_- (i think they are both bugged -sigh-) What do I do? Okay, so I'm 15 years old. My parents own a family business and my dad lets me get on my grandpa's work computer to check my emails when I'm with him at their shop. Tonight, when we went to the shop with him I was checking my emails. When I opened the internet explorer, the history of recently visited sites was already open from one week ago under a website called "www.xtube.com" which is apparently a gay porn website. I would never invade anyone's privacy or go through anyone's internet history. I guess he was trying to delete the history or something. I was a little shocked and confused at the same time because they're were many provocative gay-themed titles... My grandpa is happily married to my grandma. Now as far as their sex life goes, I really DON'T want to know. But he's not my real grandpa. My dad's parents got divorced and it's his step dad. Anyway, I don't know how I go about handling this? I don't think it's fair to my grandma for him to be looking at gay porn behind her back. She's not very smart with computers, although she is the secretary of the shop. Should I leave it alone? Is it not my business? I mean...we are family... and I want to look out for my grandma. I don't like my grandpa anyways and neither do my parents. I have seen so much stuff on the internet, about US troops being forced to attack innocent Iraqis, but iv also seen things saying its not true, iv read people saying that being in iraq is helping, that its reduced bombings and attacks a lot since occupation, iv also read its not doing any good and is only helping business for oil. I just dont know what to believe, I was planning on joining the national guard because I think it would be a valuable experience to learn how to cooperate with other people and to appreciate every-day things I take for granted better. But I dont know what to do im so conflicted with myself, I dont want to join and put my life on the line for some business, but if its true and we ARE helping people ill probably sign up. Voting Question: Marvel and DC submission?

what happened to marvel and dc submission. It ended for almost 2 years now with some lousy excuse that they weren't receiving any good submissions but their were some people that were hired thru them. Now Marvels since the year 2000 had gone down in sales with horrible artwork because they hired horrible, unskilled, untalented lazy artists. How these artists were hired is unknown my guess would be they published somekind of low detailed chessy comic book which any artist could easily do or they applied with some kind of fine arts degree, computer graphics or design degree which comic book art has nothing to do with. Remember that is what probably happened since they claimed they got no one thru submissions. These artist work had low detail with poor quality however real comic book submission like mine were rejected. I remember see their work-it was like they had been trying to do an advertisment or logo design. An Excellent comic book aritst knows more art than even a person with a master degree in art a reason their aren't alot of good comic book artist yet those who stink are a lot which are really fonies who are only fine art artists. Since 2008 things have pick up for a litte in Marvel, maybe cause of new managment after the internal Marvel conflict; moreover some new talent has emerged and older artists came back into the scene. Now there really wasn't any exuse for them to cancel submission since with the internet or thru their website they could of blocked or ignored people who kept constantly sending submission that stunk which is a alot. Why only choose a argument with Marvel and DC since they are the only comic book monoploies who took out of the other comic book companies out of competition since the 60's. They have high standards for acceptance-so they claim but their history shows horrible trends in hiring that almost took them out of business. Come on those artist couldn't even tell a story a draw a proper character. By the way Marvel is still doing these hiring pratices until now and those lousy artist still are in Marvel and are beging hired. Now if you let people believe you would accept them if they have the talent by applying with them thru a submission and later on hiring those who don't deserve to be in that field you, Marvel, shouldn't even make suck remarks or requirement standards. No I don't like manga though its easier and simpler to do than Regular comic books. I wouldn't be happy and its not good for the long wrong as a career since they don't last long in the market and they are too many in it since it simple work. Forgot they don't make millions as comic book artists. more

Has someone suggested or pressured you to identify as "white" if you happen to be light-skinned? I ask this because it's happened many times over the internet to me and my daughter. We're both part-white and identify as black. We even read at sites where strangers online have become very angry at other biracials who identify as BLACK. Sometimes these biracial people have been celebrities, who don't even come in contact with the people who are complaining about them... who hate the very IDEA that these biracial celebrities identify as black. These complainers encourage even BLACK people to identify, not as black, but as "MGM-mixedrace". They way I see it, part-white people have always been a part of the black race and the one drop rule still figures largely into how a lot of people identify. So why should that anger some people so much? Furthermore, if young black people began splintering and dividing and allowing themselves to be broken down into fractions, the black race would eventually end up being divided, vulnerable and politically weakened (similar to the blacks and mulattoes of Brazil). The black race is a powerful voting block which helped elect our nation's first black President. So this, in a way, very POLITICAL, if you follow me. This is very much a political question. I was just replying to you and was surprised you closed the Q that soon with you thinking you got nasty responses , and I assure you , you misunderstood what H is telling you , H did not mean to insult you. However please read my answer (or now question) below , and answer it if you have further inquiries on this subject. Other members input is always welcome. --- I bet you none of these are actually sent by real Dubai based companies or businesses , most of these are fake from people in other countries impersonating Dubai or UAE entities , to cash-in on the boom in dubai and the coverage it has been getting worldwide, they abuse that and all these e-mail lists and spam servers are not actually based in UAE . A lot of these come from Nigerian, Russia, east Europe, US, India, & Malaysia. The UAE can't reach these people because they are not operating from with in the UAE. Of course there may be some actual or real businesses sending promos, but for the real ones you can simply contact them and ask to be removed from any promo list or just add their e-mail your spam filter. Some times your own ISP/ webmail sends you ads for other companies they deal with , these are not really spam, they are just part of the way the operate. Unless you are on Hotmail they do send a lot of spam on that , try Yahoo or Google or whatever there are thousands of free mail websites not all of them are after spam money. As for operating a "scammer" business in UAE, that is very hard to do and the law is very strict if caught. The UAE has a specific internet law to prosecute any one that does that. But of course nothing is 100% proof , they may find a way but I don't know of any (internet scam from within UAE) , and haven't heard of such cases in a long time. We have several e-mail boxes with a UAE provider , and 1 of them always gets spam as you describe and it is quite annoying to the point we stopped using it, while the other e-mails on the same provider do not have the spam problem. These people who spam you must have gotten your e-mail from an online list some where or from a real company that you dealt with (like if you bought some thing or subscribed to a magazine etc). Where in this company sold the e-mail list of its customers to other parties for profit. Note that for the legitimate spam (not scams or viruses) opening them is not that risky because you need to open those to read how to "unsubscribe" or find out the contact e-mail that you can send a complaint to to make them stop sending you the ads. If you are not sure if has a malicious script in the e-mail then you can stomp that from being activated by turning off the script & java from running in your browser options settings. (this will also turn it off in Outlook e-mail reader -- meaning "options" in IE or Control Panel , it is the same) Just because a spam e-mail has pictures of Dubai does not mean it was sent from there , a lot of travel agents around the world work on commission and pay people to promote their deals TO DUBAI, from their own XYZ country, on the internet , it is not really any one from Dubai doing that. To check from which country & ISP the e-mail is coming from first you need to change your webmail or mail reader program to display full headers (usually not displayed , they are like the caller ID info), after which find out the domains + IPs shown on the headers text and do a WHOIS search on them, this will show the actual ISP and what country it operates from. Once you have done that go to the ISP page (which will be given along wit contact in the WHOIS info), and try to find out from their website how to lodge a span complaint . Send the complaint report to the ISP along with the offending IP of theirs (one of their customers) and a copy of the actual "headers" as proof it came from their service. Also provide exact time it was received because dynamic IPs are shared and they can only find out by the time this occurred. They will start an investigation until thy match which of their users did it and they will suspend their account. Some ISPs depending on the country may actually report the user to police or file a law suit against the spammer if they are a respectable company. Finally UAE domains are limited , and there are only 2 ISPs, namely Etisalat and Du. If your spam shows other ISP names then it did not come from UAE.H, yes I too did not see any other replies so that is why I assumed he misunderstood . But after this Q he replied privately and explained it was because of the name calling , so I don't know exactly may be there were some thing we missed. more

Ok, last night i was in Pensacola, Florida. Some friends and I decided to go to a bar where i used my fake (21) ID to get drinks. As i was on my way out the door i was detained by a sheriff. I was very drunk but respectful to the officer and did not lie to him about anything he asked me. he put me in handcuffs and told me that i was under arrest as he began to empty my pockets onto the table. i told him my real ID was in my wallet and he pulled it out and took down my license number and information on a notepad. The officer gave my fake ID back to the people at the bar and then brought me outside to his car where he un-cuffed me and told me to appear in court on a specified date. When i asked the sheriff for some documentation or record of the event, he gave me a business card and wrote the court date on the back. My questions are, - Do you think he let me off with a warning? - If not, he issued me a misdemeanor? Shouldn't he have given me some kind of citation or ticket? - Was i actually under arrest if i was not marandized or taken to jail? - Is this something that i can take care of through the mail rather than drive back to Florida to appear in court? - Why did the officer not take my fake ID as evidence? - If i have been charged, what office/person or department should i call to verify my court date or the charge? I have been doing some research on the internet but i couldn't find anything so specific to my situation. Also, i do not know enough about this matter to interpret what happened. Im 18 and have constanly been reading and listening to books about passive income, via various streams, and have decided maybe to start a small question thread here to post ideas and also ask for ideas from the community so we can all benefit from one another's ideas. Basically the idea is to own a business that makes you money while you do nothing, so you dont physically have to make the money yourself. Some of my ideas include things such as: Coin Operated vending machines (i have heard however that these are becoming increasingly harder to make money off of as although there are always locations, the returns are not necessarily incredibly huge, and finding locations and emptying/refilling the machines as well as collecting the money do take some time.) Coin operated laundry machines. (laundromat) i love this idea because you can make the business on your own so finding the locations is no problem at all, and the returns are likely better than the vending machines as well. also, these could be used in your rental properties if you use those for passive income too. Rental properties i love this idea for the fact that if you get educated in real estate, you can get better deals than the average guy resulting in less headaches and loss if you happen to have problems with tenants. i love the idea of charging more than the mortgage cost so as to get payed monthly, as well as having your tenants essentially buy you a property over a certain amount of time. everyone buys where they live, it's just a matter of if someone is buying where they live and instead of keeping it for hemselves, basically giving it to you. Advertisements i know there are companies who will pay you by the month/year etc to place a small (or large who knows) advertisement on your vehicle for their business. if you have 2, 3, 4, or even just one vehicle, wouldnt it be smart to do this even if you dont really drive it? i know there are some however who pay based on the milage accumulated, but still if you are getting payed to drive somewhere you actually have to go anyways, i think thats pretty cool Blogging this is not for me but ive read that many people who have blogs or are internet savvy can make even small residual incomes for just creating a blog. this does take initial startup time and you obviously have to write the blogs, but you still make money while you sleep. Someone in business and finance asked "how do I make money online". I gave him an answer on how I do it, and I was reported. I tried to appeal it and they rejected my appeal (twice) and took 20 points from my account. I feel that it was top contributors who reported me because everytime I post anything in Business and Finance, it gets reported. I think that some of the Top Contributors automatically assume that it's impossible to make money online. They think everything is a scam. I think people should be more careful when reporting answers in this section. You tell me, was this answer solicitation, and HOW? my answer: "Start an online community, a mini myspace in other words or forum. I have a few dating sites and I use adwords to get members. The site is free and I only have about 800 members so far on my main site, but once I have more (about 5,000 or more), I will place ads on there and make money from the ads just like myspace does. There's free software out there for social sites so after you install it, you just work on getting members to sign up. I use Google adwords to advertise mainly. My main site is an asian site so its cheaper for me to advertise since I only only show ads to people out of Asian countries. This is cheaper for advertising, but it also means I'll make less once I place ads on there, because clicks from people in Asia don't pay as well since they don't buy as much online as Americans, Canadians etc. As far as selling domains, that's not easy. I used to do it but it's just getting harder now with the economy the way it is. But most of the people I sold domains to were other domain investors. Advertising is recession proof though. I park domains and some have been pretty successful. I am being asked to set up a Company Registration and open a bank account for said company. In short, the basis behind this is for another company outside the continental US wants to do Business inside the US over the internet, and I am going to be the in-between for which this parent company is permitted to conduct Business inside the continental US. Obviously there is allot going on here that I am not sure of. All I know for sure is, they want me to sign a contract stating that I am an independent contractor, open a bank account under the name of the newly registered company. Does this sound like a scam that could get me into any form of trouble, or have a negative impact on me financially? Hi I'll be a college freshman in 2 days and i wasn't a model student in high school, at all, and i'll start college life in LA Would it be it possible for me to transfer to CUNY college in NY just after half year of studying here? I mean.. it should be possible, but is the chance real slim? I searched a little, and CUNY Baruch is the one i'm interested (i'm pursuing a job called actuary, and the school is located near financial district.) Someone i know from new york says it's not that hard to get into cuny but my not-so-good-looking high school record concerns me, plus what i found on internet says that the acceptance rate of Baruch college is somewhere between 20~30%... so i wonder how i should do.. And after I somehow manage to get into one of the CUNY, I'd like to study one year there, and then transfer to a 4-year university when i can pay in-state tuition then But I'm not sure about the idea since people say actuary is not all about the degree, but the test is more important So would it be more realistic(?) to study in the college longer than just a year, and at the same time just learn the city and experience it, prepare the test by myself while saving some money. I really want to be a real able actuary in the place, and hope you can give me suggestions and advice about the college, university there and thoughts about my plans, It would be great if you know NY well, or are a college student majoring business, even better if you are an actuary from New York. people jumping to conclusions or making assumptions instead of just accepting the information given. For example, when I asked for parenting help & said I'm pregnant and needed help at home & my husband won't help me at all, (I even mentioned I'm disabled) People are all like "stop being lazy" or "I can do so you can to", or "your husband is a man, sweety, figure it out" but hardly nothing HELPFUL was said. Or Years back when I was homeless, I asked for ideas to search for resources...instead of getting answers people were saying stuff like "how are you homeless if you have internet access". They couldn't just ACCEPT that I had asked the question and given and answer. I don't see a reason to give a 3 paragraph back story to every single thing I say, it's also none of their business. With that one, most homeless have at least a library card and use the internet at the library or a friend/relative's house. Just because your homeless doesn't mean that you're retarded, broke or even totally helpless. And yea, sometimes your family just doesn't want you. A lot of teens I met were kicked out because their parents were abusive and then booted them at young ages. It just happened to occur in my life when I was 18 so I wasn't able to get many resources as a legal adult, EVEN THOUGH I WAS DISABLE THEN TOO. That makes everything harder and people still treat you like crap. Yea, it's my decision to have kids with all these problems but you never assume your partner will suddenly turn into a neglectful person when you need them the most either. On the other hand, having kids suddenly made all kinds of other resources like shelter/food/medical available to me that I never had before. I think that it's sad that nobody helps you really, before that. I'm finally down to one or two benefits that I hope to get rid of soon. This is totally new to me but I just read this article on MSN titled "The Case Against Settling" and I it spurred me to open the internet window for advice. I am in need of some advice because I am desperate to know if I am settling. Here is my story; I have been dating a man named Mick for 7 months. I am 22 he is 30 almost 31. I met him and started dating him within a month. Things were fun, he was romantic, mature and I know this sounds shallow but he had a great summer house right on a lake. We said I love you within three months and I moved in with him shortly there after. I know this is quick and I have never moved in with a man before but I cared about him and I was having major family issues that influenced our decision for me to move in. It has now been seven months we get along great and we have an adorable puppy. Here is the issue, I was previously seeing (never officially dated) a man named Dave on and off for almost two years. We met through a mutual friend and he was the sexiest man I’d ever met and on top of it he was smart, very confident, owned his own business and he was only 25. He encompassed everything I have ever wanted in a man. Regretfully however, we began seeing each other while he was dating another woman. He said they had been seeing eachother for about a year when in reality as I found out later on he had been dating her for three years. Honestly, I thought it was just a matter of time before he would leave her for me. In the beginning it was bliss, took me on the most lavish dates, we had the most amazing sex and the feelings I had for him were like none other. I was head over heals for him. He even said things like I havent felt this way about another woman in so long and I know this is hard but it will be worth it, he threw up the notion of us taking tropical vacations together…etc. As much as I loved him things started to crack when I began realizing that he wasn’t going to leave his girlfriend and I caught him talking to another women on his cell phone. After this I started to ask him questions about his girlfriend and other women often and often times I would get emotional when we saw each other. He started to push away and as much as I wish I could say I didn’t, I just chased even harder. Often times we would have horrible fights and I would end it saying I never wanted to speak to him again and then I would try to find someone new to replace him with for a month or two. But eventually, I would always go back and he would always take me back. We continued to have sex but the times he would take me out on dates were becoming fewer and fewer. I'd bring this up and he would say its because I cant handle it and I get the wrong impression he isnt looking to date me. I would say if you dont want to be with me then dont talk to me, lets not have sex because that just increases my feelings for you. Saying this never changed anything and it became a cycle I couldnt break. Everyone I knew told me he was using me but I convinced myself that he secretly loved me and couldn’t let me go and that’s why we would always go back to each other. I was very depressed and I think that due to my lack of control on our relationship I developed a slight eating disorder. I cut off 8 inches of my hair dyed it from blonde to dark brown and got a tattoo. I eventually stopped seeing him when I started dating Mick. Dave has contacted me many times since, mostly in the beginning of Mick and I’s relationship and to be honest I even met up with him to see if I could resist him. I couldn’t. I know admitting that isnt exactly glamourous but its the truth. I began to feel like Dave was an addiction of mine. I decided if I wanted to make it work with Mick I would have to block all communication with Dave which I have. His number and email are both blocked. I have seen him at the gym once since I decided to end it for good. We did not talk or even wave at each other but my stomach was in my throat the whole time. I feel like Mick may have been a rebound at first but things work with us and so I have continued to tell myself that I will eventually forget about Dave, but honestly I have not. I think about him almost every day. I feel so guilty about this. Mick knows most of my story with Dave and the topic is very touchy. He is understandably very insecure about Dave (insecure in general really) but we talk about that part of my life less and less. Other than this issue and his insecurity, everything works with Mick and I and he loves me so much. My problem is that I am so worried that I will never truely get over Dave and commit myself fully to Mick. And to make matters worse I feel like time is against me because I overheard him saying he is planning on asking me to marry him this summer. I recently (5 months ago) moved to Bahrain with my fiancee - thinking that it would be a new lease of life and a real adventure. But unfortunately that couldn't be further from the truth. After five months of searching I have ended up working part time as an English teacher ( a job that I truly hate) and despite checking local newspapers, internet, recruiters etc etc day in day out have seen no job in my field (mental health). Well the honest truth is that the easiest way to get rich is by living out of every person that works for you. EX: The owner of a law firm, how does he make money? Does he work?NO (he hires someone to run his business) So here is how the owner of the law firm makes money. He has 200 lawyers working under him and each of those lawyers get a cut of what they make. Lets say those 200 lawyers had 4,000,000 dollars worth of cases. Each of them gets a share lets say each of those guys made 5,000 dollars that month the guy who runs the business made a 3,000,000 dollar profit and all he sacrificed were 1,000,000 dollars. So what I am trying to say is the way to become rich is: Get a good degree (optional) Have lots of assets that can bring you income like Businesses,Real Estate,Internet Marketing etc. Have stocks and bonds (they help in the long run) And remember Assets get you rich!! You may say who are you to give this info well, technically I am a 17 year old male. I have been dating this 45 yr old Jewish guy for 1 yr and 2 months now. This guy spends the majority of his time on the phone talking to anybody that will entertain any of his conversations. Within 3 weeks of meeting him he told me that he loved me. Prior to dating him, I had been recently divorced. A marriage that lasted almost 20yrs. He kept saying that from the moment he laid eyes on me that I was the one he would spend the rest of his life with. Since I've been with him, he has expended many hours of his time on the computer... or he's constantly on his phone checking his email. I have ended the relationship with him many times because he has disrespected me this way and in many other ways such as taking me to a gentlemens club and paying for lap dances. He has 3 children. 2 boys from his former italian wife of 3 yrs and a 7yr old daughter from a puerto rican woman he empregnated at the age of 43. She is now 51. He states that he left his x wife because she would spend his money faster than he could make it and is very content at the fact that another man came into her life and raised his kids. I had a conversation with her and she told me that she did not want to pursue a romantic relationship with him because of his mood swings, his poor hygiene, bad manners, and constant spying on her mail, cell phone, and calling up people she knew including her x husband. He claims that he had suspicions she was cheating on him and as a result left from work early to "catch her." Although he did not find her in bed with the guy, he claims she came down the staircase in her nighty and the potential lover was at the top of the stairwell telling him "it is what it is." After I had a long conversation with her, she denies all these claims and told another story. Anyway, he tells her that he's leaving her and that he wants his contracts. She said she wouldn't until she got paid. He chose not to, he then harassed her via phone, threatened to kill her via phone, she took him to court got an order of protection and he lost alot of work from the horse and carriage business. As of last year 2009, he lost all his trucks, trailers, horses, and more, has been to jail for annoying and harassing me and violating 2 orders of protection, has lived with me and given me no significant money, has even asked me to borrow from the money he's given me, has been on dating sites while with me yet apologized for reacting that way but said he did that because he felt I was out of his life forever, his parents didn't want to help to bail him out while in jail... they claimed he hurt them alot by not only wishing the death of his father through cancer but also calling his mother a thief when she was running the checks and balances of the horse and carriage business. His brothers don't want anything to do with him and especially the younger one aged 43 because he claims that his brother always put down his kids stating they had big german heads and looked like they had Down's Syndrome and had retarded tendencies. I have a do-not-call number but I happen to live in Canada where there are so many exceptions that I get more telemarketing calls than real calls. For the past week, my cable & internet company has been calling me once or twice a day. Last month I had the same problem with my phone company. These are both very large corporations and if you live in Ontario, you probably know which ones they are. Normally, if I don't recognize a number, I don't pick up the phone. Most telemarketers give up after 3 or 4 calls, but not these two companies. The name of the company doesn't appear on the caller id but I know it's them because I went to whocallsme.com and typed in the phone numbers. When I phoned back the number for the cable company, I was able to leave a message asking to be removed from their list but they say it may take 31 days. I don't want them to torment me for another month. Last month, the phone company gave me the line about 31 days, but when I threatened to cancel the service, they stopped calling me. The cable company ignores that threat. Would they continue to call if ordered more service? Whenever they call, I have to stop what I'm doing and check to make sure it's not a real call. I'm a widow, living alone with a home-based business. I'm already looking for new companies for similar services. They have me so upset. Why do they think they can make my life hell and get more business out of me? Are the telemarketers paid by the number of calls they make? If I cancel because of these calls, does the service department get the blame? Does the right hand not know what the left hand is doing? It's easier to keep existing customers than to find new ones. I have been pulling most of the weight around the house. I make about 3,200 a month after taxes and he makes about 300.00 a or so month doing photography gigs here and there. I pay the electricity, the cable and internet, my car, insurance, furniture bills, cell phones, etc ,etc. Sometimes we struggle mostly because he doesn't make enough money. I worked so hard in school to get my degree to be able to have a decent life. We moved into this huge apartment which he promised to help pay and still no luck. His business in photography due to the economy has been struggling but I told him to get a whatever job meanwhile to bring in consistent amounts of money. He refuses and say he makes more money this way and that he's not going to lower himself. We almost broke up over this but I decided to give it another chance. We even talked about marriage, but now we are hitting financial problems again and he will not get a job. I try to tell him to and he say I'm a gold digger and that I should have more faith. Also that it worries him how money directs my mood. I tell him we owe so much and he says don't worry. He tries to push the business instead of getting a real job. He's here all day doing god knows what while I get up everyday at 6 am to get to work!!!! Am I wrong for telling him to get a job? I heard that HP is going to be out of business in the near future, regardless how cool technology it seems like they've been carried. When I got my last hp product DV7 laptop, it failed right away with a display defect. I sent the laptop to the HP support; they failed to fix the screen also. LoL. I'm trying to be as short as possible not to inflate the context on here when I say that they failed. The events that occured during the experience were of the kind that made me learn that I won't invest in to hp's technologies in the future. It was a matter of wasting valuable TIME trying to make their product work then ending up returning it to the store. Lesson learned. On internet, I've been looking around on how satisfied or unsatisfied consumers are with their hp, toshiba & dell. To shorten the long story I came to the conclusion that they just know how to attract a client with their name, refined on business system, etc. But sell same piece of s$!t, I mean a stuff that will break at the same probabilistic rate as inferiorly known companies. My question is what are the good brand names that carry good laptops. eg. a nice 17 or 18" laptop or larger. Is vaio good? Last time I've checked they're still using old core2 duo processor generations when actually toshiba was carrying core i7 for few months already.
