The Performing Rights Society (PRS), which makes sure the 60,000 songwriters and composers they represent receive royalties for the use of their work, has written to businesses in the town to make them aware of the consequences of using music without permission.

Keith Gilbert, managing director of PRS public performance sales, said: “Around 300,000 organisations across the country are acting within the law.

“But, often unknowingly, many thousands are not and we want those companies to be aware that they need to adhere to UK copyright law and to buy a PRS music licence."

A PRS music licence costs as little as £66 a year and businesses can call 0800 068 48 28 or visit www.prs.co.uk for advice. more

Dear all, I am really lost, and I need your help... I am only 25 years old, and I am very ambitious.. I have graduated from Business School, and I am currently working in a huge corporation where I make a lot of money, but it's not my dream. I have always wanted to make positive change, work somewhere where I can make a difference everyday by going to work.. So I hate working for such private profit oriented company. Chicago made superstar vs. Risky Business This was the first match in DCW for both of these wrestlers and both were out to impress. Both men tried to see who was stronger for the first two minutes. Superstar wins the battle when hits a clothesline on Business. Superstar starts to pound on Business until the referee gets Superstar away from him. Nevertheless, legislation has not succeeded in curbing corruption. Millions of bribes change hands every day, and billions of people suffer the consequences. Corruption has grown so widespread and sophisticated that it threatens to undermine the very fabric of society. In some countries almost nothing gets done unless a palm is greased. A bribe to the right person will enable one to pass an exam, get a driver's license, land a contract, or win a lawsuit. "Corruption is like a heavy pollution that weighs on people's spirits," laments Arnaud Montebourg, a Paris lawyer. Bribery runs especially rampant in the world of commerce. Some companies allocate a third of all their profits just to pay off corrupt government bureaucrats. According to the British magazine The Economist, as much as 10 percent of the $25 billion spent every year in international arms trade serves to bribe potential customers. As the scale of this corruption has increased, the consequences have become catastrophic. During the last decade, "crony" capitalism—corrupt business practices that favor the privileged few who have good connections—is said to have ruined the economies of entire countries. In a way economically speaking its like selling air there's no true value as you would have in a industrial economy. The idea is to invest in the people. Obama is asking the elite wealthy of the country who has been so good to them to contribute just a bit more 3% not as a punishment but a patriotic act. Obama proposals or plan is to invest in the people by redistributing a small portion of wealth to the youth the future of America. Investing in education, infrastructure, science and technology. Investing in small business creation leveling the playing field. Simply making small farmers capable of competing in the food markets. Obama's plan will create a whole new renaissance in America To create a new era of enlightenment as such is a renaissance you must start with the youth. By improving the elementary level of education and making it available to ALL Americans will flood our universities thus creating the era of knowledge and arts. Arts in an area severely diminished in our currant nationalism seen in political polls on where we are headed as a country. Our currant education system is an embarrassment when compared to other developed countries. Music has seen a huge decline. When I was a kid it was a popular idea to grow up to be a scientist. You just don't hear that from kids today. We need to excite the young in these areas. I had observed many striking similarities between FDR and Barak Obama. Obama's plan most resembles to me the New Deal of Roosevelt. Roosevelt saw in the international bankers and cooperation's the inherit evil, the greed and corruption that caused the Great Depression.
