Hi, My name is Luis and I'm from Peru, 11:14 hs here and I'm trying to find some answers about something that i have been thinking about. In a week, 22th March to be exacly, I'm starting to study Medicine at the university. When I was in 4th grade (14-15 years old) Highschool I start to love medicine cuz I studied anatomy but when I enter to preparatory (15-16 years old) topics such biology energy etc get me mad and confused and the teacher said: "this is the moment when u have to decided what to study". I remember when i was child like 6 years old I begin to business on my school, creating the lil exchange school room after teacher class lol. My friends say that I'm good in business since that years. Actually I love to investigate about forms to get money, ideas to invest, histories of the millonaries, etc. I dont feel lethargy doing that, instead of the big encyclopedias of medicine that make me feel idk... My mother say that It like impossible to being rich instead of my father who inspirate me to continue and joking me say: "i give u 4 years to be rich lol". What I should do? My father give me the opportunity to prove one semester in medicine and if i dont like change my career to International Business Administration or Economy (i think economy is more complex). Resolved Question: Are Richmond, The American International University in London & The American University in Paris good schools?

I am currently a high school senior making preparations to go off to college in the coming fall. I have applied to a number of school in the U.S, but also in different countries. Most recently, I was accepted to Richmond, The American International University in London and The American International University of Paris. However, as I have done my research on these schools I have found it difficult to find information on the schools academic reputation. I know that they are fully accredited in both the United States and their countries of origin, but I don't know if they are any good in comparison to schools like New York University and Boston University, two other schools that I have applied to and also been accepted to. So my question is, academically speaking, are Richmond, The American International University in London and The American University of Paris good respected schools that are worth my time in comparison to traditional U.S. University's like NYU and BU? Just to help answer the question, I am planning on studying Business Administration and Journalism. Dear Sir or Madam, I am Evelina and I come from Latvia and currently I am living in the UK. I graduated from the gymnasium last year. I have heard a lot about Scotland, its culture and traditions. Some of my friends, who study there, have told me many interesting things about this part of England. Having read some articles and heard some reviews from others, I decided that Scotland is the best option for me. Since I love geography and traveling, I would like to be in touch with English culture, its architecture, lifestyle, interesting people, and find myself there. I have always been interested in business, administration and IT. That is why I have chosen Scotland as a place where I can study it. And therefore, this is the best place for me to find myself in this sphere, because I am an enthusiastic, with a love of people and a determination to succeed. I imagine a career which is: fast moving, gives me the opportunity for rapid promotion, is logical and practical, provides the chance to work wherever I want.I have always enjoyed learning about business. I found it fascinating. So it is quite easy for me to talk about my career ambitions (business) and what I want to do (be employed in the field of business and IT). What concerns my traits, I suppose that I am very well prepared for business and administration. To my mind, a business background is an excellent way to a good career. I have took a gap year after school and moved to United Kingdom for understanding myself – what I really want to do in my life, to improve my English skills and gain some work and life experience ,to meet new people as well. When I was at school, I worked as a secretary in the office one of my summer holiday in Czech Republic and I liked that job more rather than my current job (general assistant at the hotel). It is good I can make a comparison between such different part of work, that is why I decided that hospitality is not what I want to study and to do. Now, after long consideration, I came to the most obvious and elementary decision – business, administration and IT field is something that I want and what I need. I would like to mention my achievements in mathematics and drawing while I was at school. I am really good at problem-solving and figuring things out, at logic and analyses. I am engaged in plotting and drawing at school and also at the art school. And once, my figure has been noted at an exhibition in Macedonia. I am a good PC user (Excel, MS-Office) as well. I think, my decision to study this particular course, was affected by my father who worked both as a construction superintendent, and an engineer. He drew and designed a lot, work on the computer, communicated with people, and was responsible for many projects. I have always watched and listened carefully to how he did his job, and have learnt a lot from him. I think I got my drawing skills, my responsibility, my logical and analytical mind and the ability to come up with fast and right decisions, from my father. I played a lot of sports as a kid. This is where I have learned the values of teamwork, how to win, how to work hard, how to focus and concentrate, and how to find a balance between my time and priorities. And I suppose that the gained experience will be quite valuable for my future life and career. To sum up, I think to study abroad is an excellent way to broaden my horizons, to make new friends, to get not only theoretical but and practical knowledge. It is wonderful starting to communicate with international people and without recognition beginning to look at world a little bit differ. In my opinion, Scotland can provide a lot of opportunities for my future career. It’s the best place to study, live and work. Studying in Scotland would be a great experience for me. I'm currently getting my MBA, and it's about that time to start applying for a Ph.D. program as I'm graduating soon. I have a BS in Biology & Chemistry, a general MBA, and was originally planning to get the Ph.D. in Healthcare Administration. Well, now I'm having second thoughts. I am now thinking of getting a Ph.D. in International Business. I would love to work for an international non-profit company, top picks being the World Health Organization or the International Justice Mission (rescues women from the sex slave trade, etc). The reason I'd like a Ph.D. is because I do enjoy research, although it's not what I want to do for a living, and I feel it would prove to future employers that I am dedicated and go the extra mile. Plus, I'd like the option of becoming a professor if I need something to fall back on. Dilemma- I've read a lot about degrees (mostly bachelors) in international policy, etc, and hear that it doesn't get you a job. With my BS, MBA, Ph.D. combination, would I get a job? I am a freshman at the University of Texas at Austin, pursuing International Relations (liberal arts) as a major and perhaps also a minor in Business Administration. I will soon finish my first year working (as a freshman intern within the legal department) at the ACLU of Texas. My sophomore year might consist of me being an RA at my college dormitory and also a summer internship in the Texas Governor's Fellowship Program. My GPA isn't that great but will sure balance out in 2-3 semesters to be deemed overall "competitive." I have big entrepreneurial spirit, a passion for excellence, a commercial mindset, and enjoy global commerce. Hello , I am about to get into grad school , the thing is that i am not sure with which major it'd be easier to find jobs after graduating. I am an international student and i am looking to work in the US and later moving back to Europe. I have to choose between any of these three majors and i'm extremely confused : International Master of Business Administration ; Master of Public Policy and Management; or Master of education in Counseling and Guidance. I was a Political Science major in undergrad and it has been extremely hard to find a job in that area especially since as an international student i can't work for government organizations. I graduated in December with a Bachelor of Business Administration. I double majored in Finance & International Business. I am trying to look for a entry level job related to finance and/or accounting, but I am having trouble which job titles to look for. Most positions I find required at least two years of experience. I would appreciate if you let me know what job titles can I look for an entry level position. PS. My job experience consists in two officers positions in students' clubs, an internship at Merrill Lynch, and part-time job experience as administrative assistant in an university, and managerial assistant in a small hardware store in my country (Colombia). For the past two years I have been working as a financial analyst for a large company and I have always planned on going back to school to get my MBA after about 4-5 years of work experience. Resolved Question: CONSERVATIVES, do you like the idea of splitting the USA with us LIBERALS?

The more I think about it the more I like it. Let's divide the US into Liberals and Conservatives. We've become like a party of hikers stranded on a mountain slope. Half want to stay put and wait for rescue, and the other half want to get as far back down the slope as they can. Both sides could be right, both are willing to stake their lives on their ideas, and both are ready to kill the other side for resisting what must be done. So, let's split up. The Liberals get the Northeast and both coasts: the blue states. If we get all the blue states from 2008, that includes New Mexico, Colorado, and Florida. Also, Hawaii. I'd throw in Florida for the Conservatives just to sweeten the pot. I suggest we name ourselves the Social Democratic States of America. The SDSA. The Conservatives get the big center of the country and the gulf coast states. And Alaska. I suggest you call yourselves the Christian Confederation of America. The CCA. During the partition there will be some messy splits, and a lot of dramatic exoduses and ethnic cleansing. Most of the city of Austin will be Liberals trapped far behind enemy lines, in the very Capital city of the Christian Confederacy! They will have to evacuate to North Carolina. Conversely, the entire population of Western Michigan will have to make a run for Missouri. A lot of Wall Street guys will be flying their private jets one - way to Dallas, while a lot of Liberal millionaires will say goodbye to their Montana ranches forever. We have to split the federal debt and each pay off half, because both Rep. and Dems have borrowed all that money. Right now national debt is 12.9 trillion. A little less than half of that added up during the administration of Pres. George W. Bush (sorry, just had to point it out). The Christian Confederation will eliminate income and business taxes, but they still have to find a way to pay back $6.5 trillion without that revenue. Take State revenues in Texas, the capital of the CCA. They make $21 million a year in sales tax and $26 million in income tax. Without income, sales tax will go to around 20%. Then, to pay make their federal debt payments, they may have to double that, maybe to 40% sales tax. Also, a lot of that is Social Security, which red - staters have been paying all their lives. I don't know if you're going to just tell all those would - be retirees that their money is gone, or pay them all back their money in one lump sum (in which case you'll have to borrow trillions more) or keep paying Social Security, but that's pretty Socialist. Meanwhile, in the SDSA, taxes will be roughly like those in Western Europe. Most will pay 25%. The wealthiest pay a lot more income tax than now, up to 50% in the $1 million/ year income bracket. However, no one will have any medical, prescription, or education expenses. We each get half of the military, because we both paid for it. So we each have enough nukes to keep us from invading each other. Social Democratic States of America SDSA all blue states; northeast and coastal states. Multicultural, secular, republic, dedicated to ideals of mutual tolerance, freedom, and human rights. Member and foremost donor to United Nations. New Socialism Planning Heist In Copenhagen By CHARLES KRAUTHAMMER Posted 12/10/2009 06:45 PM ET In the 1970s and early '80s, having seized control of the U.N. apparatus (by power of numbers), Third World countries decided to cash in. OPEC was pulling off the greatest wealth transfer from rich to poor in history. Why not them? So in grand U.N. declarations and conferences, they began calling for a "New International Economic Order." The NIEO's essential demand was simple: to transfer fantastic chunks of wealth from the industrialized West to the Third World. On what grounds? In the name of equality — wealth redistribution via global socialism — with a dose of post-colonial reparations thrown in. The idea of essentially taxing hard-working citizens of the democracies to fill the treasuries of Third World kleptocracies went nowhere, thanks mainly to Ronald Reagan and Margaret Thatcher (and the debt crisis of the early '80s). They put a stake through the enterprise. But such dreams never die. The raid on the Western treasuries is on again, but today with a new rationale to fit current ideological fashion. With socialism dead, the gigantic heist is now proposed as a sacred service of the newest religion: environmentalism. One of the major goals of the Copenhagen climate summit is another NIEO shakedown: the transfer of hundreds of billions from the industrial West to the Third World to save the planet by, for example, planting green industries in the tristes tropiques. Politically it's an idea of genius, engaging at once every left-wing erogenous zone: rich man's guilt, post-colonial guilt, environmental guilt. But the idea of shaking down the industrial democracies in the name of the environment thrives not just in the refined internationalist precincts of Copenhagen. It thrives on the national scale too. On the day Copenhagen opened, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency claimed jurisdiction over the regulation of carbon emissions by declaring them an "endangerment" to human health. Since we operate an overwhelmingly carbon-based economy, the EPA will be regulating practically everything. No institution that emits more than 250 tons of CO2 a year will fall outside EPA control. This means over a million building complexes, hospitals, plants, schools, businesses and similar enterprises. (The EPA proposes regulating emissions only above 25,000 tons, but it has no such authority.) Not since the creation of the Internal Revenue Service has a federal agency been given more intrusive power over every aspect of economic life. This naked assertion of vast executive power in the name of the environment is the perfect fulfillment of the prediction of Czech President (and economist) Vaclav Klaus that environmentalism is becoming the new socialism, i.e., the totemic ideal in the name of which government seizes the commanding heights of the economy and society. Socialism having failed so spectacularly, the left was adrift until it struck upon a brilliant gambit: metamorphosis from red to green. The cultural elites went straight from the memorial service for socialism to the altar of the environment. The objective is the same: highly centralized power given to the best and the brightest, the new class of experts, managers and technocrats. This time, however, the alleged justification is not abolishing oppression and inequality but saving the planet. Not everyone is pleased with the coming New Carbon-Free International Order. When the Obama administration signaled (in a gesture to Copenhagen) a U.S. commitment to major cuts in carbon emissions, Democratic Sen. Jim Webb wrote the president protesting that he lacks the authority to do so unilaterally. That requires congressional concurrence by legislation or treaty. With the Senate blocking President Obama's cap-and-trade carbon legislation, the EPA coup d'etat served as the administration's loud response to Webb: The hell we can't. With this EPA "endangerment" finding, we can do as we wish with carbon. Either the Senate passes cap-and-trade, or the EPA will impose even more draconian measures: all cap, no trade. Forget for a moment the economic effects of severe carbon chastity. There's the matter of constitutional decency. If you want to revolutionize society — as will drastic carbon regulation and taxation in an energy economy that is 85% carbon-based — you do it through Congress reflecting popular will. Not by administrative fiat of EPA bureaucrats. Congress should not just resist this executive overreaching, but trump it: Amend existing clean air laws and restore their original intent by excluding CO2 from EPA control and reserving that power for Congress and future legislation. So I, for one, finally agree that we have no choice but to end free trade. How can we possibly justify the unneccesary burning of fossil fuels and the resulting pollution from all those ships crossing the ocean to bring cheap imports to Walmart, when the same items could be made right here in the USA for only a few dollars more. We can no longer sit silently as these huge vessels cross the ocean belching pollution and all those greenhouse gas emissions. How much longer must we continue the insanity of free trade, while it is contributing to global pollution and consuming fossil fuels? SECONDLY, bringing those jobs back to the USA would cut down on unemployment, which is another issue President Obama is addressing. The time for complacency is over. We can no longer sit back and say there's nothing we can do to end free trade. We can no longer idly stand by saying we care more about cheap prices at Walmart than we do about saving the environment. The time has come to limit imports, and cut the cord of dependency on foreign sweatshops to supply the household items we need for our daily existence. THIRDLY, if we cut imports by applying a tariff, the tariff would generate desperately needed revenues that would reduce our ruinous deficit, while reducing the trillion dollar trade deficit that increases our debt and weakens our currency. Deficit reduction is another one of the issues President Obama says we must address.
