Amazon Mechanical Turk Launches New Web-Based Tools That Bring the
The new web-based interface guides business users through the process of designing Human Intelligence Tasks (HITs), publishing up to hundreds of thousands of HITs simultaneously, monitoring worker activity, and retrieving work results. Previously, businesses without software development expertise or who didn't have software development resources to spare either needed to individually enter and retrieve each HIT (which was time-consuming) or could not leverage Mechanical Turk for the thousands of tasks they needed done. These new web-based tools are now available in addition to the existing set of APIs software developers have been using to integrate Mechanical Turk into their applications. The majority of the volume decline was in the businesses serving the US housing market, Resilient and Wood Flooring and Cabinets. Price increases largely offset raw material and energy inflation. Our second quarter results benefited from higher WAVE income. WAVE operating income benefited from higher sales due to customers buying ahead of July 1st price increase. This will result in lower sales in the second half.
Some of the steel cost inflation we saw during the quarter when on the balance sheet. This too will reduce operating income in the second half. The combined effect of both higher sales and lower steel inflation was approximately $5 million of operating income.
North American Resilient sales were about flat in the second quarter. Improved product mix and better price realization offset high single digit volume declines, particularly in residential products. more

Resolved Question: Psychiatrist is a fraud? What can I do?
Earlier this year, I went to a psychiatrist who destroyed my mental well being and made it very clear to me that he absolutely didn't want me to contact him unless I had an appointment with him so he could make his 200 plus bucks an hour. I overheard him tell his secretary to tell this woman who called in a crisis to basically stop calling him between appointments because he wasn't anyone's "personal psychiatrist" (he told me the same thing). I was fast realizing that he was telling his secretary to not answer the phone for certain patients if they called in a crisis(it was evident they had caller ID). This creep runs a private practice and is all over the Internet with his "vlogs" on how to get off of various drugs. He authors books, has his ugly face on the TV as well. His obvious motivation for going into psychiatry is for the big bucks by the shoddy way he treats his patients. He gets them in for his 45 minute appointments with him, gets his big money, and scoots them out the door. One day when I first started seeing him, he had the audacity to pull up in an expensive sports car and one of the other businessmen in the building(he is leasing a space for his office where there are other businesses) said to him "nice car". He said, "Yeah I always wanted one of these." Yeah, he bought all of his fancy cars, homes, vacations, and sent his kids to prestigious colleges using the money from the people like me who didn't realize what a greedy scumbag he was at first. On his web pages, he is constantly bringing up making big money in the medical field and how he debates working more and more for more income. And if that is not enough, through doing a little research earlier this fall, I found out that this guy has a shady past. He was formally an anesthesiologist that ended up being disciplined by the medical board for abuse of codeine as well as other drugs that anesthesiologists are supposed to be using on their patients and not siphoning off for their own use. He could've easily killed someone on the operating table. Now on his famous "vlogs" he tells people of his past only because he knows that they will find out about it on their own in this Internet age and he wants to minimize what he did wrong by making excuses for himself and his past opiate and codeine addictions. He says he chose to not go back to being an anesthesiologist because the risk was too great of him becoming addicted to the drugs again(real strong guy and someone who should be in the medical field, right?!) But because of his other addiction--big money--he chose another field where he could make the big bucks--psychiatry. Now he's traded messing with peoples' bodies to messing with peoples' heads. Two of his patients committed suicide in just the three short years that he has had his private practice. I could go on and on about this jerk, but what I'm getting at is how can a "little person" like me voice my concern about a guy who calls himself a psychiatrist when he is no more qualified to administer psychiatric care to anyone than I am? I believe he is nothing more than a fraud that slipped through the cracks of a shoddy medical board, that despite disciplining him for his wrongs in the world of anesthesiology, allowed him continue on in psychiatry. How do I even know he even set foot in the schools he claims he attended when he decided to enter psychiatry? How can I get the ball rolling on a formal investigation on his private practice and who do I have the power to report him to? I honestly believe that if this guy stays in psychiatry, the damage that he will do to peoples' mental well being will be devastating to my community. How do I stop this quack? Please give me answers.To John, I didn't ask for the psychiatrist to be my damn lover, did I. But I would appreciated it if he wouldn't have made it so obvious that he was using his patients as a piggy bank to support his fancy lifestyle that he is accustomed to.
