Open Question: Crisis! Sending SAT scores for early decision?

I want to apply to UM[University of Miami] for Early Decision as I love this college. The deadline is Saturday[Nov 1] and today is Thursday[Oct 30]. I plan to send everything tomorrow[Oct 31] through a courier service and as long as it is sent before Nov 1 then everything should be okay. But one problem, I haven't sent my SAT scores yet and I realized that this has to be done through collegeboard.com and I have to PAY. It will take 1-2 weeks if I pay $9.50 but 1-3 business days if I pay $36.50. Now I don't know if I pay $9.50 if I will be accepted because 1-2 weeks is a long time so I want to do the Rush option where i pay $36.50. Now here's the problem, my mom's a BITCH and got all mad because she says I am very last minute with all of this and she refuses to send my scores tonight even though I offered to pay for it [total bitch] She says she will send them tomorrow but I don't understand why not TONIGHT, I want to send it off as early as possible, does she not realise this is my college education that she is trying to spite me over. If my Sat Scores are sent tomorrow on the Rush Delivery[1-3 business days] will it be okay even if it reaches UM after Nov 1? I really want to attend.  more

HI there, so i work on reception and use courier services all the time. when i got here, courier service No 1 messed me about so much! so courier service No 2, called round and tried to build a relationship with me and proved to me that they could do the job better than anyone else so i use courier service No 2 a lot. anyways, i call courier service No1 up after a long time to give them a job and the controller blasts me! saying for some reason u decide that u dont like us and we lost a lot of business cos of u and we had such a good relationship with the previous relationship so i replied hang on a minute i never sed i didnt like u for a minute as i dont know u! at the end of the day ur couriers messed me about, so i went to courier service no 2 and they proved themselves to me so he sed, wel where are ur precious courier service now then? ey where are ur precious courier service now? ( in an unbelievably aggressive tone!) so he sed at the end of the day, when and if you leave then and only then will we come back and approach u for business so i put the fone down- my reception is in an open plan office so hence anyways, so they barge into my workplace having made an appointment today with me thru someone else (the ex receptionist!) and then try to ''explain why their controller spoke to me the way he did (without an apology!)'' and i sed i do understand why he was angry but at the end of the day if u guys came in like u are now, to pitch to me and resell it to me then i wuda given u guys another go cos i have nothing against u and i was naturally taken off guard and on the defensive) they call the switchboard to ask for the owner of the company! i feel like they will complain about me now (as luckily the owner wasnt in!) and i have no idea if this is harrassment. my manager wants to speak to me about it (a colleague of mine told her what happened) and i feel i shud go to the police as this is intimidating behaviour!! help help help!!!! what can i do!!!!????? this isnt some random guy - it was the owner of the business i dont care what he does-yelling at me i cant let go of and did but now he's tryna call up about complaining about me?? what do ido?  more

My job consists of maintaining all files, be it legal, or real estate, recording, and updating in circuit court clerk offices all over virginia, and a little bit of marketing. My salary for these services is minimum wage (approximatly $400.00 bi-weekly)+ $50.00 per recording, and/or update, on average i have 2 updates or recordings a day, all over virginia. my previous employer was a settlement agency that went out of business following the going under of american homes. looking in the classified adds today i noticed 2 adds in the help wanted section for runners at 2 different law firms in charlottesville...... now for my business idea. I had posted a surface mail parcel to India from Canada. As per Canada Post it should take 4-6 weeks from Canada to India. It took 4 months, i.e. - that is when it passed customs in India. Two weeks later it is still not delivered. Yet India post claims that postal articles are delivered within India within 5 days (maximum). No wonder the private courier service would like to takeover all the dis-satisfied customers. If India Post could publically post its performance record from time to time, and show significant improvement it could win major postal delivery contracts from some foreign companies, due to its inherent cheaper costs. Otherwise the delivery cost due to non-performance would be considered too high to put any business at risk. Due to the new technological means availability in India through computerization at all government levels. There is no reason for a poor performance. I came across ridiculously cheap services such as Parcel2Go recently, and I was astonished that for £7 I can get a 25kg package sent anywhere in the UK by DHL or CityLink! What is the basis of the business model of these companies? Do they purchase last minute spaces on courier transit vehicles?
