The mission is to provide workers with advanced training for high-paying jobs in Florida's expanding supply chain management and logistics industry, a release said.
The degree programs initially will be offered at Polk Community College in Lakeland and Lake City Community College in Lake City, near Jacksonville. The programs, developed by the Banner Center's college partners with oversight from executives in Florida's logistics and supply chain industry, will be offered in the future at other Florida community colleges.
The programs will provide workers with an opportunity to obtain credentials they need to command high-paying jobs in logistics and supply-chain management, while giving industry partners a much-needed pool of well-trained, highly skilled employees, the release said. more
Yuan bonds won't help Chinese developers much -Fitch
Regulatory Commission has overseen the corporate bond market since last August, but it did not start until March to authorise developers to issue debt.
Four developers have since been allowed to issue a total of 12.8 billion yuan ($1.84 billion) in corporate bonds, and a few more are likely to get the green light in the coming months, Fitch said.
Only nine corporate bonds in total have been issued and are trading on the Shanghai and Shenzhen stock exchanges since the CSRC took over regulatory responsibility for the market.
That is partly because the banking regulator has barred banks from guaranteeing new bond issues. This in turn means insurance companies, the main source of demand, may not buy them.
The People's Bank of China, frustrated by the regulatory deadlock, in April extended the maturity of issues on the commercial paper market, which it supervises, to as long as five years. more

outline the continuing impact the teaching of hildegard of bingen has on christianity today. in what ways has her teachings continued to influence christianity today? Long lasting influences of Hildegard include: •Spirituality workshops and weekends often for people who otherwise would not have anything to do with Christianity •Reading of books by Hildegard, such as Scivias; that detailed her 26 visions and took her 10 years to write. •The common lectionary (a book setting out the passages to be read at Church services) that remembers her on the 17th September every year •Historical novels about her eg King’s Daughter by Mary O’Connell •Businesses that took the name Hildegard to show that they are followers and supporters of her ideas of wholesomeness and integrity. moreOpen Question: How possible is it to close down a bad business?
I live in the Bay Area of California, as well as my daughter. Recently, my daughter walked into a cellular store with her old [diconnected] phone asking for a plan with unlimited calls, texts, and web service. The rep offered MetroPCS service, but my daughter's old phone was not a MetroPCS phone, therefore she would have to purchase one. Since her phone costed her plenty and it would be a waste, she asked if there was any way to use "it" with a plan that covered unlimited calls, text, and web service. The rep then offered a sim card by Simple Mobile, which states on the package UNLIMITED NATIONWIDE TALK, UNLIMITED US/GLOBAL TEXT, MOBILE WEB, EMAIL, MMS, SOCIAL NETWORKS, INTERNATIONAL LONG DISTANCE, NO CONTRACTS, NO CREDIT CHECKS. Now... supposedly, she needed to "choose a package", but the rep didn't tell her that part... and altho "I" personally know better than to accept something without reading the package (&/or pamphlet) to its completion, and question anything I "don't" understand, she didn't do so because the rep did all the talking and convinced her this particular chip would do what she wanted (instead of explaining to her that it merely served for "activation purposes"). 3 days later, my daughter's web service was cancelled, so she phoned Simple Mobile, and at this point they explained how it works. My daughter explained to "that rep" exactly how the whole conversation & thus sale actually went. The rep told her that if she was unsatisfied with the chip, she needed to go back to the store and request a refund based on the fact that the store rep didn't explain the functions of the chip correctly. My daughter went back to the store, and the rep (who obviously didn't speak English) denied anything my daughter requested, including a refund, an exchange, or even an explanation. Since Spanish is my 1st language, my daughter then asked me to accompany her, which I did. The rep was very rude to me, did not give any explanation about anything, simply cut me off telling me to do whatever I wanted about the situation. He walked away from me to help another customer, and I asked him to please continue our conversation as we were not done yet. I also asked him not to be rude to me (because he continued to be) because we were customers as well. He simply kept telling me he didn't care, and that he didn't care what we did about it either. I asked him for a business card and the name of the owner of the establishment, and he gave me one, telling me the owner was his brother. He then "shooed" us away with his hand, and I told him I could very well have the business closed due to his unprofessionalism and rudeness to me, especially in front of other customers. What do you Yahooligans think? Should I call his brother? It's been about a week, because I needed to "cool off", as in the past I would've grabbed him by the collar and decked him. But I know we get nowhere that way, in fact, I'd get in trouble is all! So, I decided to wait a few days for the situation to cool off. However, he wasn't rude when he "took" my daughter's $80... and he should be well informed about each of the products he sells! How possible is it to close down a bad business? I have "friends" from other countries, and I'm having a lot of fun with it... Ok so i'm a 20 yr old college junior, and a few moths ago my father recieved a prayer request telling him to leave the chuch that he was currently at(we did not attend the same church). So once he started attending this new church, he recieved confirmation from god (through prayer request) that he and his family will be blessed if he attends this church. Now I grew up with my mother(parents divorced) and we attended a different church (my mother attends a different church now). I still attend that church and like it very much. Well a few months back my father kept insisting that I join this new church that he is going to. At first it was just a visit, then it was just go here this sunday, then it was now were joining this church. Which I did willingly, all while still attending my primary church. I've always atttended multiple chuches my whole life, but consider the one I like my primay church. Now my father has flown off the deep end saying that I must attend church every sunday over there. I still attend wed. service at my other church(which is hard to do because of school). Well apparently now it's an issue because my younger sister has come to live with him and he wants us to attend as a family. This has never been the case before in my life, i'm like "what family?" (I do have a step mother but thats beside the point). Well then he baisically blackmails me. He helps me out with my apartment and college fees and he said he won't help anymore if I don't go. Well of course this isn't going over well with me. I'm at the point were I could just say "take your $$$ and get outta my life" and i'll just figure something out b/c I DON'T like going to that church SREIOUSLY(certain situations there have led me to feeling this way....not important. But I am very uncomfortable there). Besides man, i'm grown I'm trying to honor you but I really don't have to put up with this. I'm no minor. Now he never received anything (from praying to god) about the church that I attend so why all the fuss? He did eventually said that if he's out of town on a sunday, that I could attend the church that I prefer (because of his business he travels a lot). But seriously? You've got ot be kidding me right, what am I a prisoner?(pride, I know, I know). I'm grow and I don't want to go there, it should be the end of the discussion right? Am I wrong? Would I be out of line with the will f god by not attending this chuch that I don't like attendin and is the cause of so much stress/anxiety on a weeky basis? moreOpen Question: Do want your suffering to be over today?

Do you know if I quality - would I have to pay it back after the divorce settlement? moreOpen Question: Is this a good example of the effect of business taxes and their affect on the individual?
One of the aspects of Obama's health care reform bill is a 2.9% tax on rental income. Now, the thing is, rental income is already taxed. In my case, my corporation pays taxes on all rental income it receives. It is taxed AS income. But Obama wants to add an additional 2.9% tax specifically on 'rental' income. Well, what do you think my corporation would do? We'd raise the rent by 3%. The corporation wouldn't pay this tax. I'd simply pass this tax on to the tenant in the form of higher rent. My corporation would then pass this increase on to the government in the form of 'taxes paid'. This is how it always works. When business is taxed, the tax is rolled into the price of goods, services or in this case rent. This tax is then paid, essentially, by the purchaser or the tenant. I wonder if my tenants would appreciate Obama more or less for knowing he raised their rent.@g: Ah! Very good point! And that's another aspect the left ignores or does not understand; all other apartments and property management companies will increase rents. A tax or a fee on an industry results in a direct increase in the price of that industry's goods and services over time, if not immediately. Rents are already competitive with other properties. You add a new cost factor, you raise the price in a competitive market. Those that don't are sacrificing a reasonable return on their investment and so is passed onto the 'consumer'. Since the beginning of time, g. A freakin' fact of life. moreOpen Question: How many times has the Fed Govt passed "extensions" to the length of time people can collect unemployment?
I am really started to get upset at our govt - I believe Bush passed the first extension period just prior to when he left office & the economy started tanking - then Obama since he's been in office has passed atleast one more extension, maybe TWO now, I'm not sure - now on today's news I heard they are proposing ANOTHER xx month extension to people on unemployment ! I mean, give me a Break. First we have the Highest deficit in the history of our country, we are basically broke as a country financially - We, he (Obama), everyone "wants" to improve the economy, and get people Back to work, right? Good lord, look online or in the classifieds, or any job search tool - there are SO many jobs going unfilled right now. Many people seem like they do not WANT to work any more !! Do other people notice this lately? I mean, originally unemployment lasted what was it, 3 or 6 months total, right? Then Bush passed some XX month extension, not sure how many more months that was added to the original time. Then Obama gets in office and he starts adding More and More extensions to the total time a person can collect unemployment. Where is this going to END !! I mean, why don't they just start PAYING people to stay home for 4 or 5 years or longer, and not work at all ? (oh I forgot, they already have a good program that does that, Welfare) I lost my job like millions of others did, back in 2008. My company completely shut down and laid off over 100 people. Yes it was horrible. I know what its like to lose your security, your income, your job, your career, its AWFUL. But come ON folks, you cannot stay home and sit with your thumbs up your arse for months and years, living off our already bankrupt federal government !! Take a lower paying job !! Take one that you thought was "below" your ability or skills if you have to. I did !! I was a manager with a large construction firm that built new homes for KB, Ryan, Arthur Ruttenberg, Pulte, etc. We all know what happened to the housing industry & construction. But I got another job just a couple months after being laid off - working at Lowes home improvement store. Sure it pays less than what I made, and it might not be as "impressive" to people that make a big deal out of job titles & status - but the point is I am WORKING and not collecting charity sitting at home doing nothing - I am SO sick of these constant extensions to Unemployment the govt is going - Is anyone else ?? Another thing to consider if you are one of the people thats been collecting u/e for 6 months, a year, or longer - WHO is going to hire you after your resume shows you sat at home for a year, 2 years, 3 years, longer ?? No hiring manager in his right mind would want to touch a person who's been doing NOTHING but living off the government and sitting idle for the last xx years. Go out there and take a job - walk down Main St and tell each store manager or owner that you will work & do any job he/she needs for $xxx a week !! I know several people who pounded the pavement, offered their services to businesses, stores & restaurants who did not list any openings, and got hired by just offering their skills/services for a reasonable price. Look, I used to make $35/hour. I make just under $15/hr now. But I like my job, I am thankful for what I have, and you just have to make adjustments to your standard of living and your spending, that's all. Please folks, I know so many guys & gals right now who are just laughing and sitting home since 2008 or 2009, doing nothing, and collecting unemployment, and laughing every time the Fed passes another extension for them. Don't do this. Its not right, and its just taking advantage of the system. Our country needs people to WORK and contribute to the GNP, and earn/spend MONEY. Not take charity from the government for months and years, without even trying to get a job.Scott - thanks for the reply, glad you agree - I too have several friends, and "friends of friends" who actually been going around bragging this past year or 2, about how they just keep getting one extension after another, and they've been goofing off and even working side jobs for cash under table WHILE collecting the damn unemployment. That really ticks me off. The whole situation is just not working any more - but I do have much sympathy on your job plight - some areas are very very hard to find work, some towns and counties have SO much unemployment, and relatively few employers, every job has like 500 people applying for the one job ! I was lucky getting into Lowes. I did not use the "job search" engines and all that online mumbo-jumbot (hotjobs, careerbulder, monster) - I just walked into the Lowes in my area, dressed nicely, looked good, spoke well, and courteously asked to speak to the store manager - he said he has some part time work he could likely get me hired for. Lucky. moreOpen Question: Should “Healthcare Reform” also include?

I have a service dog for a medical condition. He wears a yellow vest that says "service dog" and a CA dog license with "California Assistance Dog" stamped on the back of it. A friend of mine had an emergency C-section and her baby was in NICU. As I entered the hospital lobby to visit my friend, the security guard where visitors sign in stopped me. He said I couldn't bring the dog in. I showed him the license and explained the dog works for me. He radioed for his supervisor. I stand around and wait roughly ten minutes. Supervisor gets there and I still can't go see my friend. He asks me what the dog does; I told him I have a medical problem. I do not believe I need to disclose my medical history to anyone who asks just because I have a service dog. He radios for the house supervisor. Meanwhile people have walked in after me and gotten through. People sitting in the lobby were watching this whole thing. They were whispering to eachother and staring. It was when one woman nudged her companion who was reading a magazine and pointed at me that I threw up my hands and walked out. I cried the whole way home, and shook with rage over the humiliation for a couple of hours after that. I learned later that they were in a different hospital! The guards were so focused on the dog that they didn't even check their roster for my friend. If they had done that (That's their job!), then the whole situation could have been avoided. I don't know if I have a law suit because my dog is a home grown service dog. He was a rescue and was on the adoption block for a couple months when my husband realized the dog knows I'm in trouble a good hour or so before I do, and warns me. He is not vicious, he does not bark at people, his worst problem being a service dog is that he's shy and gets nervous in new places, but his behavior is never threatening to others. I have a doctor's note saying I need the dog with me, but I don't carry it as the vest and license are usually sufficient. I've been refused entrance or service at small businesses, but I generally give them a handout published by the ADA regarding service dogs and the law. I'd rather educate than sue. But I didn't have one yesterday, and I would think a hospital would know better. I am still SO angry! Do I have a law suit? Serious answers only, please. I will report abuse on any hateful bu**sh** on this one! moreOpen Question: What do you think supporters of illegals say the border patrol is unwelcomed & want them to stay away?
Some business owners at a San Juan Capistrano shopping center say routine checks by the U.S. Border Patrol are scaring away customers and hurting their bottom lines. Store owners at Alipaz Plaza at Del Obispo and Alipaz streets told Mayor Lon Uso during his Mayor's Walk this week that they want the city to ask the Border Patrol to stop going to the shopping center. The Mayor's Walk is a monthly event organized by the San Juan Chamber of Commerce in which the mayor visits local businesses to hear their concerns. Wednesday afternoon's walk was the first for Uso, who became mayor in December. "Last year I started hearing my customers say, 'Don't go to Alipaz Plaza, that's where (the Border Patrol agents) are hanging out,'" said Isabel Rizo Patron, owner of Isabel's Beauty Salon. Rizo Patron said she has a diverse group of customers but that many of her clients are Hispanic and don't like to be in an area frequented by the Border Patrol. The Border Patrol not only supervises border and interior checkpoints, such as the one a few miles south of San Clemente, but also inspects city streets much like a police force would, said Ralph Desio, a Border Patrol spokesman. He said the Border Patrol often checks shopping centers throughout Orange County as part of an increased push to check for illegal goods and immigrants beyond the borders. Uso listened to the concerns of Rizo Patron and others but said there's not much he can do when it comes to the agency formally known as U.S. Customs and Border Protection. "We don't determine what they do or where they do it," Uso said. Douglas Dumhart, the city's economic-development manager, who has been on many Mayor's Walks, said this is the first time he's heard of concerns about the Border Patrol's effect on commerce. But he said Alipaz Plaza has more Hispanic-based businesses than others that city and chamber officials have visited in the past. The center contains a few Mexican food restaurants, hair salons, a discount store and a coin laundry. Rizo Patron and Tuning Acosta, who has owned A-Team Enterprises Income Tax Services in the plaza for 15 years, said they understand that Border Patrol agents have a job to do, but they would prefer it be done somewhere else. Word of even one Border Patrol visit can spread through the community and cause some people to perceive Alipaz Plaza as an unsafe place for them, Rizo Patron said. So they spend their money elsewhere. Acosta, a paralegal who focuses on immigration law, said he is thinking about moving to another shopping center. The Border Patrol's effect, combined with the slumping economy, has decreased his client base by hundreds, he said. The Border Patrol's Desio said the fear of customers who are staying away from the plaza "perhaps has reason." "Perhaps their customers are here illegally," he said. http://www.ocregister.com/news/border-233915-patrol-mayor.html moreOpen Question: How to prove income to bank with my small housekeeping business?

i had alltel for a couple of years. not too bad a company they will level with you when they do mess up your bill. messed mines up a few times but they did the merge with verizon. WHY DID THEY DO THAT. so when my contract ended i decided to go with verizon seemingly he same company. but as soon as i switched omg i had so much trouble. they coverage is probably worse. they show the map of coverage but i seem to always drop calls. and not just me but everybody with verizon does. then when the bill comes they overcharge you big time. I know over 10 people personally who dealt with verizon and they all have had more than 1 bill come up to be $700 or better. and when you call them to fix the bill. they contest every single detail. like they really believe that they're not overcharging you. when you do present a reasonable excuse they will find some technical jargon to try to switch it up. My last bill with them was $1,497.88 dollars. i have 1 line with 1400 minutes. and i don't get a chance to use my phone like that. between juggling work and no service and everything. Verizon needs to be stopped, people should submit there disagreements with verizon to the Better Business Bureau because this is ridiculous. Anybody else had a similar issue with verizon. speak on your experience please. moreOpen Question: Im trying to hold on to my relationship?
I moved in with my boyfriend 8 months ago. Of course we went through that wonderful honeymoonish period and then our differences smacked us dead in the face 2 months ago. Before I moved me and my son into his house, we were very good friends, but there were certain things I was not aware of, like him smoking. At first I said no. He stopped for a couple of months but now smokes again and I accept it. Next trial, he wants to hang out at clubs by himself. I dont mind him needing to go out by himself, but why a club? Especially a place he used to go to and pick up women. He complains that none of his friends want to hang out anymore so he has no one to hang with, but is that my problem? I dont have anyone to hang with either, but I am not going to go to a club by myself. He said he is a grown ass man and he is going to do what he pleases and I need to learn to trust him. Since that time 2 months ago he has went out 3 times, but it is never for long. I dont complain, I am not saying anything. about 9 months before we moved in together, he was going through a financial crisis (forclosure) and was going to partner with one of his female friends to run an escort service. I assumed it was just a passing thought because he was desperate for money (and still is). Well guess what? I am facing it again. He had to make a deal with the IRS tax wise and needs extra money. He did security as an extra side job and claims the jobs are drying up. What does he want to do for extra money? Start an exotic photography business and/or run an escort service. When I protest he tells me that unless I can contribute more to help the household out, he is going to do what he has to do. But this isnt just a money issue. He says he is tired of doing things right and stuff still not working out so he is going to make "dirty money" because it is quicker and then later turn it into a legit business. Im at my wits end.I am 32 with a 3 year old from another relationship. He is going on 31. My friends tell me to hold on until he grows up, but I think the only applies when you are in your 20s. Plus I have a 3 year old and I need to keep my life straight but it is hard because he is good to me and my son, but he insist on embracing a negative lifestyle. moreOpen Question: What should my salary be?

I have started a small business in investment services. Is there anyway I can do this legally without getting a license? I have not done anything yet except trade my own stocks with my own money. moreOpen Question: Self-employment income and taxes?
Am I correct in thinking it is easy for a person owning their own sole-proprietorship or hiring themselves out for service-labor to random people to hide income from the government (especially if they do not keep it in banks and earn most of their income in cash and checks)? Like if I do service labor like doing cheap garden service for people, washing cars, cleaning, or other services for people, then I could completely hide that income from the government. There would be no proof or any sort of paper-trails I ever gained income or did that work. I get paid in cash, and it is a pay-on-service basis to common people. Easy to hide and conceal. If I have my own business which i own and operate, I could grow my own products and sell them or buy goods and sell them, then I would be able to conceal any profits or cash income I generate, and keep it in cash. Without any paper trails, bank records, or accounting records for the extra profits and items I sell, no one could ever find out. It's only corporations that get caught easily because they have shareholders and a lot of laws. For a one-person business, where they control everything, it would be easy to get away with. NOTE: In the past two decades, the middle class has decreased. Any raises earned were either not keeping up with the rising costs and inflation, or gave a tiny gain which is like $10 per paycheck. So bank costs, inflating, oil prices, interest rates, healthcare costs, insurance, taxes, and a falling dollar took most or all of the common person's raises, and in addition to that, some people actually lost income. Is that fairness and equality in your opinion? Is it fair that people that can't find work or can't afford a home have to go hungry, remain ill, or be homeless in the name of profit and because banks and the IRS foreclose on them? Is it fair that the elderly have to choose between meals and medicine? Is it fair that if a family is forced to drop healthcare, and can't afford to pay for medicine for a sick child that their child is taken away from them? No!!! It is not fair! The system stomps on the common people and abuses the people! I will not be like the rest! I will be self-employed and hide most of my income to ensure I have a good life and am not a slave to the system! Who are they to determine what is justice and what is law, and misrepsent the people who are seeking representation? The law and the notion of justice synonymous. The law does not always do justice or protect justice, and what is just is somtimes punished or deemed illegal by the legal system.I am sick and tired of seeing spam answers with http://www.BiznFin.com and the like posted as answers! We apologize that we were not able to meet your expectations...If we can provide further assistance, please contact us...We look forward to providing you with the legendary service you have come to expect at RalphLauren.com." I'm sorry but wouldn't Ralph Lauren want to reissue as many of these hats as possible?! 9 out of 10 people I've talked to would love to own one of these hats...they are very patriotic and stylish! Why wouldn't Ralph Lauren pounce on redistributing these $75 hats? Political scientist Dr. Lawrence Britt recently wrote an article about fascism ("Fascism Anyone?," Free Inquiry, Spring 2003, page 20). Studying the fascist regimes of Hitler (Germany), Mussolini (Italy), Franco (Spain), Suharto (Indonesia), and Pinochet (Chile), Dr. Britt found they all had 14 elements in common. He calls these the identifying characteristics of fascism. The excerpt is in accordance with the magazine's policy. The 14 characteristics are: 1. Powerful and Continuing Nationalism Fascist regimes tend to make constant use of patriotic mottos, slogans, symbols, songs, and other paraphernalia. Flags are seen everywhere, as are flag symbols on clothing and in public displays. 2. Disdain for the Recognition of Human Rights Because of fear of enemies and the need for security, the people in fascist regimes are persuaded that human rights can be ignored in certain cases because of "need." The people tend to look the other way or even approve of torture, summary executions, assassinations, long incarcerations of prisoners, etc. 3. Identification of Enemies/Scapegoats as a Unifying Cause The people are rallied into a unifying patriotic frenzy over the need to eliminate a perceived common threat or foe: racial , ethnic or religious minorities; liberals; communists; socialists, terrorists, etc. 4. Supremacy of the Military Even when there are widespread domestic problems, the military is given a disproportionate amount of government funding, and the domestic agenda is neglected. Soldiers and military service are glamorized. 5. Rampant Sexism The governments of fascist nations tend to be almost exclusively male-dominated. Under fascist regimes, traditional gender roles are made more rigid. Opposition to abortion is high, as is homophobia and anti-gay legislation and national policy. 6. Controlled Mass Media Sometimes to media is directly controlled by the government, but in other cases, the media is indirectly controlled by government regulation, or sympathetic media spokespeople and executives. Censorship, especially in war time, is very common. 7. Obsession with National Security Fear is used as a motivational tool by the government over the masses. 8. Religion and Government are Intertwined Governments in fascist nations tend to use the most common religion in the nation as a tool to manipulate public opinion. Religious rhetoric and terminology is common from government leaders, even when the major tenets of the religion are diametrically opposed to the government's policies or actions. 9. Corporate Power is Protected The industrial and business aristocracy of a fascist nation often are the ones who put the government leaders into power, creating a mutually beneficial business/government relationship and power elite. 10. Labor Power is Suppressed Because the organizing power of labor is the only real threat to a fascist government, labor unions are either eliminated entirely, or are severely suppressed . 11. Disdain for Intellectuals and the Arts Fascist nations tend to promote and tolerate open hostility to higher education, and academia. It is not uncommon for professors and other academics to be censored or even arrested. Free expression in the arts is openly attacked, and governments often refuse to fund the arts. 12. Obsession with Crime and Punishment Under fascist regimes, the police are given almost limitless power to enforce laws. The people are often willing to overlook police abuses and even forego civil liberties in the name of patriotism. There is often a national police force with virtually unlimited power in fascist nations. 13. Rampant Cronyism and Corruption Fascist regimes almost always are governed by groups of friends and associates who appoint each other to government positions and use governmental power and authority to protect their friends from accountability. It is not uncommon in fascist regimes for national resources and even treasures to be appropriated or even outright stolen by government leaders. 14. Fraudulent Elections Sometimes elections in fascist nations are a complete sham. Other times elections are manipulated by smear campaigns against or even assassination of opposition candidates, use of legislation to control voting numbers or political district boundaries, and manipulation of the media. Fascist nations also typically use their judiciaries to manipulate or control elections. A translation company is looking to recruit Glaswegian interpreters to help business clients who are baffled by the local dialect. Today Translations placed an advert in The Herald newspaper on Tuesday seeking speakers of "Glaswegian English". Successful candidates, who could earn up to £140 a day, must understand "vocabulary, accent and nuances". The firm said that so far 30 people had applied for the positions - some of them in Glaswegian. SOME GLASGOW PATTER Baltic (very cold) Boost (head off) Buckie (tonic wine favoured by youngsters) Cludgie (toilet) Eejit (idiot) Hampden roar (score) Hee haw (nothing) Hen (term used to address a woman or girl) Laldy (enthusiastic participation) Maw (mother) Midden (rubbish tip) Pure (very) Moroculous (drunk) Messages (shopping) Scooby (clue, rhyming slang - Scooby Doo) Shoot the craw (leave in a hurry) Stooky (plaster cast) Swatch (look) Toaty (small) Ya dancer (fantastic) Yersel (yourself) Today Translations spokesman Mick Thorburn said: "Over the last few months we've had clients asking us for Glaswegian translators. "After some consideration we've decided this is a service we would like to offer. "Usually, the role would involve translating documents but in this case it's more likely to be assisting foreign visitors to the city whose 'business English' is not good enough to understand the local dialect." Mr Thorburn said successful candidates may have to sit in on business meetings. He added: "We're not necessarily looking for people who are particularly skilled in linguistics, just candidates who can help out clients who may struggle with native Glaswegian." Today Translations said that depending on the volume of applications, it expected to contact the successful clients in the next few weeks. Earlier this year a bus driver was recognised for teaching his Eastern European colleagues at First Glasgow bus company to understand Glaswegian slang. James Lillis said: "When new employees come to Scotland and hear the Glasgow accent, it can be a problem. Drivers have to learn to understand what is meant when a customer says, for example, 'Gie us an aw day tae the toon' (Give me an all day ticket to the town)." I am thinking of applying for it my self, what do you think? moreOpen Question: Amazing work opportunities in Latin America, esp.in Brazil, Chile, or Argentina?

Who would I be talking about if I summed the following? • Takes power during economic turmoil, while promising hope for the nation’s future. • Wants to clamp down on big business. • Blames many economic issues on those who are successful, saying they are greedy and selfish and their wealth needs to be taxed away from them and given to others not as fortunate. • Proclaims that the evils of capitalism led to the economic crisis, saying that the system exploits the “economically weak”. • Gives speeches where no matter the actual content, people leap to their feet in blind praise. Uses carefully scripted words and articulation to excite the masses. • Accuses opponents of being right extremists who will increase the wealth gap to maintain control over the working class. • Appeals largely to the young, ignorant, and impressionable population. • Mandates that citizens have a requirement of civil service. • Begins by advocating tighter gun control. • Wants innovation to originate from government, rather than from the private sector. If you answered Adolph Hitler, you are absolutely correct! How did you do?Fascism and Communism have seemingly the same agenda. Government control. Part of Fortune in 1st House Part of Fortune in the First House suggests that your greatest success will come by developing independence and self-sufficiency - meeting life experience with individual initiative and not being dependent on the views of others. Part of Fortune in 2nd House Suggests that you need to discover what is of real value to you. Money and the things it will buy are of extreme importance, but only insofar as how your possessions reflect true value. You can be extremely lucky with money if it truly reflects a sincere value. Eventually you will develop an ability to see what is personally meaningful and necessary. Part of Fortune in 3rd House You will have the ability to meet the obstacles found within your immediate environment and deal effectively with them. Developing the ability to think clearly is what will bring your greatest fortune. Part of Fortune in 4th House The feeling for home and roots will be strong. Happiness will come through building an emotional foundation strong enough to support future growth. This position gives the possibility of finding fulfilment in a broader way through identification with a social, professional or national whole. Part of Fortune in 5th House Success usually comes from the growth of creative abilities, or in a will to power. Great joy comes from being deeply and intensely involved in all that you are able to create. With this placing you must be very discriminating with your choice of friends. Part of Fortune in 6th House Happiness may be found in work, self-improvement and self-discipline. You will be at your best during times of crisis because of an ability to take the correct action. Great joy will come from developing your natural abilities and using them constructively in whatever field of work or service you may be involved. Part of Fortune in 7th House Happiness is found in important human relationships that give a sense of direction and meaning to life. With this placing, luck and good fortune usually come through other people. Part of Fortune in 8th House Happiness will come through your ability for financial management, especially other people s financial affairs - such as banking, contractual agreements, business, marriage, etc. Luck and good fortune will be bestowed on you by other people. Part of Fortune in 9th House Happiness will come from a search for truth and the deep study of such subjects as sociology, psychology, religion and metaphysical law. There is also a possibility of distant travels. Part of Fortune in 10th House You will seek happiness through accomplishment and in fulfilling a constructive role in society. Part of Fortune in 11th House You may have the urge to be a reformer or pioneer of new social, cultural or spiritual values. Happiness will come from contact with bright, intelligent people or friends who stimulate your imagination with inspired ideas and noble concepts. Part of Fortune in 12th House You may find happiness in accepting and thus transforming or dissolving your Karma to complete a cycle of experience. The achievements of this cycle may become the seeds or foundation of a new cycle. In an 'occult' sense, you may even find it possible to reach 'personal immortality', so that what you are as a formed mind is able to survive the disintegration of the physical body. You will find great happiness and joy through periods of solitude for meditation and attunement with your inner self. Mine is in 11th house.
