Businesses turns to arts community to beef up bazaar
According to Beth Morris, the Chamber's economic development manager, more than 40 Main Street shops and businesses will participate this year. Also represented at the bazaar will be 35 nonprofit organizations, 25 craftsmen, and more than 40 Cape Ann artists and artisans.

The companies that invest more than 100 million euros and thus create at least 500 jobs will get state aid worth up to 25 million euros, with the total value of funds allocated for 2008-2012 standing at 575 million euros. State aid will be granted only if the investment continues in the region where it was created for at least five years after the completion of the project, ministry sources said, who cited the draft to be submitted to the government soon.
