The Little Known “Recession Buster” Strategy to Create More Sales
Melissa Data, (www.melissadata.com), a developer of data quality and mailing preparation solutions, is arming local businesses with a strategy they can use to reach out to likely customers with direct mail even during tough economic times. The strategy is called saturation mailing and it works by saturating a direct mail message within a localized area (i.e. a radius from your business, a ZIP Code, city or county) by reaching the majority of households and/or businesses in a postal carrier route. It is an ideal way for local businesses to promote grand openings and special events, establish their brand, and increase walk-in traffic. And, because saturation mailings are so easy for the Post Office to process, they pass the savings onto the mailer saving 20-25-percent off the cost of Standard Mail or about $.05 per mail piece delivered. more
Note about your music
Businesses all over Bracknell are being warned their background music could be breaking the law.
The Performing Rights Society (PRS), which makes sure the 60,000 songwriters and composers they represent receive royalties for the use of their work, has written to businesses in the town to make them aware of the consequences of using music without permission.
Keith Gilbert, managing director of PRS public performance sales, said: “Around 300,000 organisations across the country are acting within the law.
“But, often unknowingly, many thousands are not and we want those companies to be aware that they need to adhere to UK copyright law and to buy a PRS music licence."
A PRS music licence costs as little as £66 a year and businesses can call 0800 068 48 28 or visit www.prs.co.uk for advice. more

Businessweek Business School Rankings Questions asked
Resolved Question: Grammar mistakes in this essay?
Can you Please tell me the grammar mistakes in this essay, thanks! Most Asian students are getting information from the internet to help choose a college. Uncertain factors include academic prestige as well as the student body's country of origin. My decision to apply to Syracuse was prompted by business school rankings from Businessweek. It provides good information such as, SAT or ACT score, median salary, costs, etc. I narrowed my college list based on this information, looked up Syracuse University’s website to gather detail information and realized that Syracuse University is the idealist place to me. Syracuse is located in East coast of the U.S., its communication and business schools are top-ranked in Businessweek, and many Korean students are attending, which will be helpful when I am getting a job in Korea. I also like the fact that the schools were evaluated well among the job-recruiters. Also, Syracuse has great program in Management and Information Systems - providing a great opportunity to study both majors. Therefore, Syracuse University is the best school for me. I have been employed at Sam Jung Special Metal Co., LTD., in Korea, from June to August 2009. I mainly work in the office as an Intern staff to assist customers and interpret English documents for purchasing the department. This experience has been valuable to me, because it is hard for teenagers to find such an opportunity. I have learned from this internship period that (delete) how to interact with people in the working place, which in turn helps to develop social skills even outside the working environment. I also understand what my father feels when he attends work everyday. While many other students are working goalless, my internship period reflects a preparation and initiation to a successful future career. My academic interests are focused on both management and information systems. I can engage in more internship opportunities in the future, which means that I can start to prepare for the complicated and excited business world while at Syracuse. When I am doing the internship, I will learn about business skills to prepare to get into the complex business world apart from textbook studies in the high school. I am confident that engaging with foreign students and faculty to find more internship opportunities to develop my intuition in how business is actually run. These cooperation systems are helping me in order to be a great business man in the future. I want to study with diverse students in a free environment to direct my energy and passion to be a part of Syracuse’s mission. I am trying to explain that how apart from textbook studies in the school. and I can develop intuition in how business is actually work. So, please let you know and revise sentence structures and give some suggestions. moreResolved Question: Rank undergraduate business schools in tiers?
