Open Question: What should I do in this relationship?! Should I stick around and hope she changes?!?
I have a girlfriend in college who I really really love. She has done everything for me from worrying about the relationship to always being there when I needed her. she was basically the girl I dreamed of meeting for a long time. While I am in spring break in cancun she confesses that she talks to her ex about a future together in 3 years when she finishes college. She reasons with me that she only talks to him about it sometimes with him, but she tells me if she is not sure if he would come to the US for her at the end like she already has this planned out. Where do I fit in I ask?! Moreso she has the nerve to give me terms to the relationship: A she wants to keep talking to her ex about their future B she wants me to change 360 degrees (I will cause I love her) C she wants to keeep our relationship secret until after summer cause she feels trapped in a cage I have done nothing but love her and be there for her 100%. She sees no fault in what she does she says that her talking to her ex is none of my business. She says the rest of terms are if I take them or walk away. She knows I love her so much and I think she wants that to get what she wants and keep me. She makes jokes when I tell her what she does is wrong and I try to have a serious conversation with her and she puts ":D" and hahahas in facebook while we do. She reasons that I have done things to force her to do these things. One night she danced with another guy at a party without me even there and when I asked her she said that what was she supposed to do if he wanted to dance with her. He proceeded to give her a kiss on the cheek :( I am always there when she needs me and when she has problems. Many guys want her for sex so I always try to protect her from them because I know she hates talking to guys like that. After all this she tells me she is going to change. I originally went to a Mary Kay party back in December to take one for the team. (My fiance hangs out with a friend who is friend's with her husband. They aren't close, and quite frankly my fiance can't stand the husband, but I thought it would be a nice thing to do.) I had no intent of buying anything or becoming a "customer of Mary Kay" (aka, working for them). In the end I did decide to order some product and give it a go. About a month later, I was invited to a "get together", which was actually the promotion of my consultant's person above her. It was more like Mary Kay church, where people were witnessing to how fabulous working for Mary Kay is. I considered it but spoke with my consultant and told her the timing was not right. ( I am doing work toward my master's degree and planning a wedding, plus I teach full time. Sure the extra money would be nice but I am *not interested*). Another month passed and I was interested in scheduling another appointment with her to discuss a color palette for makeup. (I am clueless with that sort of thing.) This is where things start to get hairy, and in my opinion, boundaries were stepped on. She told me she had a goal to meet by a certain date and that she *needed* me to bring two girls to a party, and she'd *prefer* I not reschedule. I felt she was being subtly pushy, making it *my* job to fulfill her goal. Plus, I had been to one of those parties already. I did not want to hear the schpiel for the third time about how I am a great candidate to work for Mary Kay. Also, I had already referred her to all of the women who I thought would be interested. My other friends would HATE going to one of those things, esp. when they really can't afford to invest in the products. (I don't care if I get "free stuff" for bringing them....besides, to me that feels like I'm using my friends, plain and simple.) Oh, and in the end of the converation, she throws in a "You're awesome! I love you!". 1.) The only reason she thinks I"m awesome is because I'm bringing her money. 2) The "I love you" is pretentious. We are not friends. This is strictly a business relationship, and I felt even more used after she threw that line at me. The more I thought about her attitude, the more it infuriated me. In the end, I cancelled my appointment and told her I had no intentions of rescheduling. Really, I would have been quite content to have a one on one with her....but at that point, I felt I did not have the tolerance for it. I figured if she asked why, I'd explain. She has contacted me twice since then to ask if "everything is okay, and she hopes it is something she didn't do." Part of me feels responsible for informing her, and part of me feels like I should just leave it and let it be. Why get more involved than I need to? Also, while I"m on a Mary Kay rant, I really do like the product I'm using. Is there a generic "Mary Kay" online store I can buy it from, or do I have to find a consultant and join this crazy circus? I just turned 20 years old, since I was in my teens I planned on learning a construction trade and starting a company. There is allot of money in the trade I chose and I know if things go well with my business I will have a ton of money, and get to travel allot and buy nice stuff. The problem is.. I live in Alaska. Most of my close friends just graduated high school and moved out of state for college. I get frequent calls about how much fun they are having at some beach party or talking about where they are going to do a road trip too next... Its really depressing me. I wake up every morning and work the 40 hour weeks. I don't have many friends like I did before they left and I just end up hanging out with my girlfriend most of the time. The days seem to be rolling by faster and faster, it was yesterday I graduated highschool it feels like... I feel like I have to choose between finishing my Trade apprenticeship, or going to college ... JUST for the experience of it. The fun of it... many people refer to their college days and laugh about it... I just feel like when im 35 years old I'll look back and regret not being the typical 20 year old :( I need some opinions... Is college like it looks in hollywood? my family up and decided to move clear across the country i was 21 at the time. i didnt want to leave where i grew up and decided to move in with my sister and her husband and child who lived about an hour away from where my family and i lived. i had just graduated from school and was intending on searching for a job in what i had majored in. My sister offered to pick up my cell phone bill even after i let her kno i didnt have the money to pay her for it, my plan was to just turn it off and go without a phone. but she insisted. i moved in with her and her family in a 2 bedroom apartment. My search for a job began and i was dropping off resumes at all the local places that pertained to my speciality. when that didtn work i started looking for what ever i could get. Eventually i would end up just searching and applying over the enternet while i watched my nephew. Once she realized i wasnt getting any jobs she said i could start contributing by cooking dinner(by the way both her and her husband worked all day)and cleaning the house. One day her husband had even sent me out to rent a rung cleaner and made me clean their entire apartment! My sister let me kno if i ever needed to go out and look or go for interviews that my nephew had a daycare we could take him too. My boyfreind and his family lived back where i used to live an hour away.He would frequently come visit or take me back to be with him and his family. His family saw that i was struggling to find a job and offered a place at their home to allow me to look for a job around a place i was familiar with. My sister met her husband in college he was there on a sports scholarship, after a 2 years he hurt himself and soon dropped out of school. So he and my sister went off and got married with out anyone knowing just so he could stay here in the us legally. Leaving my family disappointed and hurt. The relationship between he and my family is a straining one. with that said while living with him i didnt much care for him and i only found more things to not like about him. He would frequently smokoe weed with the neighbors and even sold it. When he would come home he would drink ecessively untill passing out. I used to be a confident girl, which made me pretty. I didn’t walk around the school like I was ‘the shit’, I just walked around being me – and confident about it. Even though my sister was 7 years old, my mother and father still considered her as a baby, which I have always thought was ridiculous. He says that it is good to be back and he plans on reclaiming his throne here in EYAF by winning the world title. But then Dylan klein walks up to him and says that as long as he is around, Twister will not be wearing that world title.* Match 2 -Tag team match - Tag Team Titles The Jamesaw and Nigey McBonez vs Kawajai and Risky Business Result: Kawajai and Risky Business steal the victory when Nigey McBonez gets the tag while the ref is busy with Risky. I am active duty military and also a ventriloquist. I retire next year but am gearing up to start my own entertainment business this year. I currently perform ventriloquism at children's birthday parties, cooperate events and other local shows. Since most of these events are favors for friends or at children's hospitals I do it for free. (I plan to continue the hospital for free) I am trying to establish my business now so by time I retire from the military I will already be established and have an extra source of income. The first year I will only be able to perform on weekends but the second year I will be full time since I will be retired. I estimate I will make maybe $500 the first year. I have researched the Virginia Business Registration guide along with a few other web sites and not sure if I should go with the LLC or Sole Proprietorship. He diverts corporate funds to throw a large retirement party for a loading dock employee, and he fully expects to be fired for it. I wonder if other wives feel like this - my husband and I have been married for many years and are fairly happy, but there are some things that absolutely drive me mad. When he is going to be late, he never calls to let me know. Just last month we had to drive to a wedding three hours away (the wedding was the following morning) and he went to help a friend that morning, but didn't call to let me know that he would be late coming home - I finally reached him on his cell phone about three hours after we should have left - he said he got busy and would be home in another two hours! I had been waiting and worrying. He doesn't call if he will be two hours late home from work either - I don't mind if he is even an hour late, but I start to worry if he is later than that and I don't hear from him. If we are meeting friends for dinner at a restaurant, he is absolutely insistent that we are on time, he says he hates to be late and keep people waiting, but when I am the one waiting, he doesn't care or let me know. When I had to go away with our daughter for a couple of days, I phoned on the first day and left a message to say we had arrived safely, then the following day to say we would be home in the evening of the following day. We actually hit bad weather and were 4 hours late, but he was asleep in bed when we got home, AND he hadn't listened to the messages! It makes me feel like he doesn't care - he forgot my birthday a couple of years ago and last year got me a birthday card and gave it to me still in the bag (he hadn't signed it or anything). Last year was a significant birthday for him and I planned a party, booked a Hall, invited all his friends - got our older kids to cook food - it was a great party, but all I get for my birthday is a card that he didn't bother to actually write. He is a hard worker, we have a lovely home, our kids are doing well, we own a business .... I should be happy, but I'm not. Am I being unreasonable? Am I expecting too much? Are all men like this? DISCLAIMER: May be only a few will understand where I'm even coming from so for those that don't please don't waste both our times responding... Ok, so I am new in town and have recently made two different set of friends, each of whom I share myself with differently. One I can convide anything with and is more of my chill buddy, call them Friend A, and the other is more of my "party" friend and with whom I can be more extraverted with, call them Friend B. Due to some unexpected changes in their plans, I found myself hanging out with both of them together recently, and they really hit it off and now one is asking me for the other's numbers and what not.. Here's my thing - I DON'T WANT TO MIX THE TWO GROUPS! I just moved here and left some bad energy in my old neighborhood that started with mixing of friends which I learned was a BAD idea. I went OUT OF MY WAY to make differents sets of friends (I know what ur thinking but us all hanging out was a total accident! One bailed on me so I called the other and the the one that bailed show up out of no where - not even a phone call so I was totally unprepared)! They each have their own group of friends themselves and I LOVE being able to chill with A and when I just sort of need a "break', I can chill with the B. In addition - VERY IMPORTANT-- friend A knows ALOT of personal stuff about me that nobody else knows and while I don't necessarily distrust her (yet), that is not stuff I want to ever get out (i.e. we have a "tiff" and now she's calling up friend B spiling my business...)... Over the christmas break i went to my guy friends party he was throwing in his basement. At the another friend of mine liked me and another and another,, So i get to the party with my two friends and we all have a good time and after a while the guy who likes me asks me to go for a walk. OK, so my friend (Cindy) and I just had a big fight yesterday. This was our second big fight through text. In this fight, Cindy asked me what I had gotten my mom for Christmas. (BTW, we're both only children and her parents are divorced. She gets offended really easy and she's really emotional. She lives with her mom and doesn't often see her dad. And also, during the fight, I showed my mom all the texts and she gave me advice on what to say since she has to deal with Cindy's mother too.) I'm only 14, and I don't get my parents gifts. What my family does is my mom buys a gift for my dad and puts both of our names on it, and vice versa. I don't really see a point in going along with both parents to pick out a gift because my mom usually gets a watch and my dad usually gets tools, and I don't think my picking it out would make it any more special. Well, anyway, I told Cindy that, and she overreacted. She asked me why I didn't get anything for my mom. I explained how we get the gifts in detail, and she said, "well isnt it nice for the daughter to pick out gifts special for the mom/dad? i think it is." I told her that we do things differently, and it wasn't a crime. Cindy told me that I should be the one to buy the gifts for my mom, not my dad. I then told her it was none of her business, since I was starting to get a little ticked that she wouldn't drop the subject. She told me, 'Wow chill. im not trying to bud into ur "life". all im saying is that its not rite for the dad to buy the mom something that is supposed to be from the daughter. the daughter should be the 1 to buy the mom or dad something." (I got mad that she put life in quotes. She is the kind of person who goes on sleepovers and goes to her friends' houses at least a few times a day. I haven't been to somebody's house in 2 months, and that was a party. We're pretty much opposites, and we don't have much in common.) I told her that it was her opinion, and that she was "budding" into my life. I also told her again that it was none of her business. Cindy said that she wasn't budding into my life, that budding into my life would be asking me to do it. She also said that saying her opinion wasn't budding into my life. I got angry, and told her, "Ya u r!!! U keep saying "oh this is how it is done this is how it should be done" and thts budding in! When u say ur opinion u say it once and let it go. But u keep pushing & pushing & pushing". She said, "well thats me saying my opinion. idc wat u think. its stupid for the dad to get the mom something thats supposed to b from the daughter. but think wat u think" I was getting really mad at her by now, and I told her, "I dont c a point in buying a gift for my parents when my parents get the same stuff every year. Besides, christmas is about family, not gifts. & if u dont care about what i think, then i really dont give a damn what u think either." She told me, "wow u got some serious issues" I was fuming by that point, and told her, "if u didnt buy ur dad a gift, u really have no place to say im wrong. & im the one w/ issues? Ha! Thats a laugh. U say mean things 2 people & expect them 2 take it, but as soon as they start to fight back u get offended & talk about how they "hurt my feelings." u cant just do tht & expect them to roll over & apoligize." She doesn't really like talking about her dad much, so Cindy responded, "i dnt talk mean to ppl unless to ppl only if they say mean things to me. and if ppl say something 2 me & they hurt my feelings i tell them they hurt my feelings. and u have no right "budding" into my life. i did get my dad a gift. i didnt even say anything about ur dad. and im not planning on doing so. just bc i dnt see him often doesnt mean i didnt get him a gift. so u know wat? SHUT UP. i dnt wanna hear ur crap. so just shut up." In our last fight over text, Cindy told me, "idk y i still ask u if u wanna slp over...u say no every time." She asks me if I wanna sleep over when I'm out with my mom, and she expects me to race home and go over to her house (which is a 20 minute drive) when my mom & I have to go grocery shopping. I told Cindy that I couldn't come to her house every time she clicked her heels and snapped her fingers, and she told me, "u dnt have to be so mean about it." and "yes u were. u hurt my feelings wen u said we cnt come everytime u snap ur fingers and click ur heels. that was rude and u know it. so bye" After that, I sent her a very long text message mostly yelling at her, but I don't still have it on my phone. She says mean crap like this to me a lot, but doesn't for one second think that I might be just slightly offended. But as soon as I say something to her, she gets the last word in as she cries about how I'm so rude and I hurt her feelings. At the end of our fight, she managed to make me feel bad and guilty, as she always does. Was I right? Should I forgive her? We fight a lot and she really pisses me off a lot. I began writing a few years ago, but I've never really got into it. I've began this story and I really want to finish it. Can I please get some feed back on the first chapter! Any feed back it good feed back. I know my grammar is horrible and im hoping to get an editor for my stories. if anyone is interested in my story i have two more chapters to this story. I would really love to have lots of feed back to my story i wish to improve and make writing a career for me. I gripped the edge of my blanket as cool winter air rushed through my window brushing lightly against my skin. Above me the incessant beeping of my alarm clock rang in my ears making my head swim. I quickly pressed the button and slid out of bed. "Rain! Get up!" my grandmothers high crowing voice just added to the inner annoyance that the alarm clock and wind had begun. I yelled yes and began gathering my clothes for the day. "Crow, Dusk," I called lightly, and two brown forms arose from the depths on my bed. Crow was the first to emerge and I patted her lightly on the head, she gripped my hand in a love bite and I headed for the bathroom to prepare for school. Ten minutes, a broken hairbrush, and a stubbed toe later. I stood outside next to my car waiting for Crow and Dusk to finish their doggy business. The warm air of the car tempted me to just jump on in, but I knew that Crow would be upset if I didn't let her check the car and make sure it was safe first. This had been our daily routine since I had rescued her mate, Dusk, and brought them both home with me as an early Christmas present a year earlier. Crow refused to let me do anything that she viewed as dangerous. It took an extra 15 minutes for her to finally decide that the car was safe for me to drive and I ended up reaching school just as the bell rang. I let the two out of the car to roam the school grounds and ran to my class. I had barley made it to class. Jace, my best friend signalled me over to where she sat and I ran to her. "So Rain, how's your stalker?" Jace asked me teasingly. Ever since I had told her about the man that was sneaking around my house one night she asked me this every day and I ave her the normal response. "Fine. He still wants to kill me, but I make sure I lock the doors at night so he hasn't had the chance." We laughed together. First and second block had drained me. My legs hurt and threatened to give out on me on more than one occasion. Jace sat beside me in the lunch room chatting on about my upcoming birthday, but I wasn't concerned about it. All it meant was that I was getting a year older, a year closer to having to leave my friends and family. It made my heart ache. I didn't want to go to college, but my grandmother insisted on it after winning all that money in the lottery. In fact she demanded that I go to college, or else. I hadn't figured out what or else meant yet, but it couldn't be all that bad when it came from a 4'11" tall, wrinkled, obsessive-compulsive, little person. I loved my grandmother, probably more than one person should love another. She was my life line, but no one could deny what she was. "Are you having a party?" The questions caught me off guard. I hadn't planned on telling Jace that I wasn't going to have a party till last second. I knew the consequences and they were fear worthy, but I'm an idiot and in my gazing my mind had gone on auto pilot. "No." I flinched. Here it came. "What?! Why not? Rain your turning sixteen, the big one six! An adult!." she shrieked. "Yes I believed we've established how old she's turning." Dylan muttered. His hands covered his ears protecting them from the high pitched noise. "I'm not having a party. Why. Because I don't want one, I don't have enough friends, and NO! I'm not using any of the money. I know how old I'm turning and I'm not liking it at all." I told her in a voice that clearly said 'No arguing about it!', but she clearly could care less about my warning. "But this is what your grandmother gave you that money for. To spend on yourself. I heard her say so myself. Come on what else are you going to do with it?" she nearly screamed. Her eyes were wide with disbelief and I shook my head. If I knew her and I did. I would do better if I just gave in. "You know why I don't use the money. I don't need it. I have everything I could ever want at the moment. Why are you so obsessed with making my sixteenth birthday so 'great'?" I told her blatantly. It struck my nerves when she obsessed over things like this. "Because! Please, please, please, please, please, let me plan a party for you. PLEASE! I'm begging you. I won't use too much money either." she pleaded, it struck my heart cords. Her eyes were large. "How much is not too much?" I grimaced. I knew I would regret this later. "About $20,000. Not too much." She tapped her forefinger on her temple in a contemplating gesture. I gaped. $20,000. Not that much. 'I can't believe I'm going to do this.' I thought to my self. So there is this girl, lets call her Amy. Amy is friends with my best friend Kate. This year I have lunch with the three of them. Ever since I was little and in girl scouts I had the feeling that Amy didn't like me. At lunch everyday I talk to Kate, Amy just sits there and says one word when we talk to her. She could join the conversation any time she wanted to. When I am talking to Kate she always gives me dirty looks. And she will call me stupid, but not in a joking way like Kate says it. And she always talks about me behind my back. And lately she has been trashing everybody over myspace comments where everyone can see them. She talks about me, Kate, and some of my other friends. I have another friend, Gina, who I thought I was close to. We even went drinking together once! But Amy is starting to turn her against me, even though I never did anything bad to Gina. Gina, Kate, and Amy all wanted to plan a Christmas Party. Gina is having it at her house. But she isn't going to invite me because Amy is telling her things that aren't true, like how I make fun of her (i really dont), and how me and Kate buddy up on Amy (we dont). Amy talks about Gina behind her back. One time she caused a huge mess of drama. In lunch one day she brought up Gina's internet boyfriend. Kate tried to get off the subject and said it wasn't either of their business. But Amy kept bringing it up and another friend said something about how she bets two dollars they would break up in two weeks. Kate said sarcastically 'yeah okay'. Then later in the day Amy went up to Gina and made up a big story about how Kate was talking trash about her, but it wasn't true at all. I have a medical issue that has been giving me a lot of physical and emotional pain lately. And when I'm absent from school sometimes Amy will make fun of my issues in the bathroom with Kate. Kate tells me everything Amy says, she just goes along with it to see how far Amy is willing to go. And she goes far. Also Kate and I will talk about things that happen and funny stuff. Then the next day Amy will start saying or doing things that we did only once for a long period of time. Like Kate an her summer school friends made up 'waffle tart' as an insult and Amy is still using it, even though it isnt her inside joke. When Kate goes to Amy's house she gets pictures of them together just so she has more then I have. And she is always trying to talk about things that Kate and her do. Its like she is trying to get me jelouse, even though Kate and I have a sleepover literately every weekend. And every time Kate texts her saying that she is at my house or in my town Amy will text back saying 'wowww. thats sad.' or 'dont you have a life.' And she always 'attacks' me and Kate. She will say stuff like 'all three of us need to lose weight' or 'we will never get boyfriends.' And she isnt kidding. I don't know what to do about Amy. If I be mean to her, tell her off, or confront her about this she will run to her mom and try to get us in trouble, like we are the bad guys. And her mom will call Kates mom and get the two of us in trouble for things we didn't do. What should I do or say? Hey guys. There was a girl last year that I really liked and I asked her out. We went out (I guess she meant hang out, not a date) and things went pretty good, so about a couple weeks later I asked her out for valentine's day (a female friend of mine said get her flowers) so I did. She couldn't go out, but she took my flowers and said it was super sweet, etc. A week later I asked her to see if she wanted to check out this movie with me and she said no because she didn't want me to get the wrong idea. So I basically tried ignoring her so I can move on and it was working until I was at a party and she came up to me and started hugging me. I told her I couldn't stick around and chat because I had to go, and later in the party she saw me hooking up with another girl and looked pissed. After the party I came over to her and she was like on the quiet side of the room sitting texting and looking pissed. I asked if she was ok and she said yeah she just looks pissed most of the time. So I pretty much ignored her for the rest of the semester because she'd always come back to me and I'd start to feel wierd again, and she even stood me up once on hanging out, which I thought was a bit rude. Earlier this semester I was at the store minding my own business and I noticed her but didn't say anything cause I really wasn't interested in being just friends, but she came up to me and hugged me. We made plans to go out later that week and we hung out and things seemed fine. I went to a party with her and she was flirting with me a lot and so I said well whats your deal? I asked her out and she said yes, but then she stood me up again on that. So since then I told her I kind of still like her and it's unfair to me that she flirts with me with no intention. She told me she doesn't want me to get the wrong idea and it wasn't flirting. I told her it was flirting and my friends even thought she was trying to get with me that night, and i'd appreciate if she didn't cross that line or even string me along for attention in the first place. When I said that she got super pissed and told me that I was looking for her attention and i basically then told her "you know what, i don't think you get it, i don't really stay just friends with someone who plays games like that, peace" so i deleted her on facebook and deleted her number. I'm trying to get over her but whenever we run into each other she looks super pissed at me and it makes me feel like i did something bad. also, when i used to like her i liked her alot, like i never liked anyone that much. i just have mixed feelings now. i mean she said she wanted to be friends, but she does things like flirting or inviting me to hang out with her late at night that indicates otherwise. plus if she did want to be friends she wasn't really a good friend sticking me up twice. Hello everyone, I have been working in the uk for less than a year and I work for a company that have other people speaking my native language.. I started to hang out a little bit with one of these persons, who is a lady in her 40's while i am below 30..At the beginning, we were pleased to be sometime together as we speak the same language, but at the end i realized all she was doing is using everything i told her against me, and be extremely judgmental..first she tried to discourage me to date a colleague ; after we went to a work social event, she told me that i behaved badly after drinking a little while people enjoyed my company.. the last thing she reproached me is not to go the office christmas party while I told people well in advance about this change of plan and she wasn't the one to organise it, so it wasn't her business.. In general, as well, she gets offended after i tell her things that are everything but offending.. Lastly she hasn't been asking any of my news..
