Bullhorn Recognized as a Finalist in 2008 American Business
The American Business Awards are the only national, all-encompassing awards program honoring great performances in business. More than 2,600 entries from companies of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted for consideration in more than 40 categories. Stevie Award winners will be announced during an annual gala on Thursday, June 12, at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City. They both have been spearfishing since they were kids, been in business together for nearly nine years, and MacMahon says he once caught a 403-pound warsaw grouper, and Hampton, a 348-pound one.
"The amount of hours we put in, doesn't equal the pay you get out of it," Hampton said. "That's just the bottom truth, but the freedom we have on the job makes up for that.
"When we get to do it for fun, the competition is another great aspect."
MacMahon and Hampton, despite their years of experience, still had concerns about living off spearfishing. MacMahon worked in a corporation for nearly 20 years and when he pitched the business to Hampton, it was just a matter of time and budgeting before they took off.
"I thought, 'Can we make a living out of this?'" Hampton said. more

Well...in case you have some experience with venture capital firms, angel investors and funds,banks - pls. share some experience... So far - in my case - especially with venture capitalists and the so called "angels"...I am far from reaching anything meaningful. For instance...I spend about 2 days sending e-mails and faxes to such people and the best reply so far is something like(in brief): "SUre I will give you 300k - but you need to send us $2500 for fee because we are going to show your idea to other investors... - but yes you WILL get your 300,000$, don't worry!" - stupid idiot... Imagine if I were competing with Amazon, and I had a premium domain name like Store.com or something.
