Locate Business Helps School's Outdoor Classroom/Garden Project

Several teachers(Mrs. Diaz, Mrs. Dato, and Ms. Wooden) and their students from McAuliffe School met at Lowe's in Ventura on Saturday, May 24 to present to Glen Sueishi, store manager a banner thanking them for the $10,000 donation to the McAuliffe School Outdoor Classroom/Garden Project.

In addition to stadium seating, we are going to put in an outdoor fountain to provide a quiet and aesthetic place to read and learn. Other projects made possible by donation will be a buttlerfly garden, composting bin, and a weather station.

Business Post boosted by 45pc jump in profits

Business Post, the listed group that four years ago ended Royal Mail's postal monopoly, has unveiled a dramatic jump in earnings less than two weeks after its public sector counterpart revealed a £279m loss.

The company yesterday posted a 45 per cent jump in pre-tax profits to £14.2 million for the year to March, buoyed by growth in its mail division, which handles about 11 per cent of Britain's post.

Business Post also revealed it was poised to launch a series of innovative products including iMail, which would let customers send mail electronically to a network of centres to be printed, packaged and sent on.

Sameer Africa to launch Sh2.2 billion business park project

May 28, 2008: Tyre maker Sameer Africa will today launch the construction of its business park along Mombasa Road in Nairobi, a project that has suffered two years of delay. When completed, the park will form a major income stream for the company which has seen its core tyre business encroached on by cheap imports and the retread market.Sameer Africa chairman Naushad Merali is expected to commission construction of the Sh2.2 billion Sameer Business Park. The park is a joint venture between Sameer Africa Ltd and its sister company, Sameer Telekom Ltd.Sameer Africa’s managing director Eric Kimani told Business Daily that the park would help meet the growing needs of Nairobi as a business city, which requires modern and up market shopping and business centres that attract big companies. more
