Business Innovation and Growth Council to sponsor venture seminar
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Business Innovation and Growth Council is teaming up with Hutchison Law Group to put on a half-day seminar about angel capital and venture funding.The event is set for June 3 at the Charlotte Research Institute. Up to this point, network management products for wireless VOIP were only able to scan one channel at a time, flitting from channel to channel. This left up to 90 percent of wireless data unmonitored, which means detecting problems in the service was practically impossible, WildPackets said.
To answer the call, WildPackets reconfigured its OmniPeek network analysis software, which lets network engineers find faults and fix problems to maximize network uptime, to offer real-time capture, aggregation and analysis across multiple channels.
WildPackets had help for this solution. The company partnered with WLAN (wireless LAN) chip maker Ralink Technology, whose MIMObility technology allows Wi-Fi applications to be extended from PCs to cell phones, PDAs and print servers, to hash out OmniPeek's support for USB wireless cards. more

At the beginning of shoppers� buying process, terms of broad relevance � �television,� for example � can be worth optimizing pages around, by category leaders and mostly for branding purposes , but even then only on a very limited basis, says Joe Laratro, chief technology officer at MoreVisibility.�These keywords can be powerhouses for traffic, but due to the range of intention among shoppers searching these terms, much of the traffic they generate may be untargeted or irrelevant,� he says. more
Parkson revamping China store business
KUALA LUMPUR: The Parkson group is restructuring its department store business in China, which would see Parkson Holdings Bhds unit disposing of Jet East Investments Ltd to the Hong Kong-listed Parkson Retail Group Ltd for RM110.4mil. The disposal will be satisfied in cash and new shares.
Jet East owns Victory Hope Ltd, which in turn owns 70% of Nanning Brilliant Commercial Co. Ltd and 100% of Tianjin Parkson Retail Development Co Ltd, both of which operate department stores.
Under the agreement signed on Wednesday, Parkson Holdings unit, East Crest International Ltd, will dispose of Jet East to Parkson Retail (a 53.52% subsidiary of Parkson Holdings) in exchange for RM55.2mil cash and the balance of RM55.2mil by way of 1.99 million new Parkson Retail shares. more
