Siemens Gains After Profit Beats Analyst Estimates (Update1)

The way the company works is they send out "talent scouts" (mostly kids aged 18-21 who are looking for a part-time job) to various malls, movie theaters, and events throughout New York City, Connecticut, and New Jersey. These "scouts" are paid to stand at these locations!!!! AND they stop every single person they see who is with a child. They stop these people by saying something like "excuse me mam, your son is so cute he has such beautiful eyes, have you ever considered getting him into acting or modeling?". If you say no, they will continue to tell you how perfect your child is until you sign up. At this point when the person agrees to sign up, they fill out a card with just basic contact information. The card then gets sent to a call center where the person will now receive a phone call from a representative who will attempt to set you up with an appointment at their office in Edgewater. When you make the appointment you will show up at the office and meet with someone who is actually a salesperson and this person will try to sell you "marketing tools" which are photos of you and your child and a spot on the company's website which they say is looked at by various agency's. This is BS!!!!! They never provide you with you is looking at your site! This is the part that is the REAL SCAM....When you are initially stopped by the scout, if you ask the scout if there's any cost to sign up he/she will say "no it is entirely free". THIS IS A LIE!!!!! They will charge you anywhere from $500-$3,000 just to take pictures of your child to complete the portfolio. The thing is, many people fall into the trap and pay this crazy amount of money to Industry Model and Talent Studios and then.......THEY NEVER GET A CALL BACK, THEY GET NO WORK!!!!! THEY WASTED THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS!!!!! A legitimate modeling agency would not ask you for money, they would pay for your portfolio and take a percentage of what you make for themselves. Oh yeah I should mention that Industry Model and Talent Studios admits they are not an agency!!! Once you go to your meeting with the salesperson and pay these people money you also sign a contract. The contract is very carefully written, they have lawyers present at all of their meetings to ensure that everything they do is technically legal and people can not get a refund if they are unhappy with the service. IT MAY BE LEGAL BUT IT IS NOT ETHICAL and this is how they keep your money! The company operates under different names since so many people are now aware of the scam. Resolved Question: Is an agreement over the phone legally binding?

This publishers business service called me at work, they asked me a few questions and they said I get a free magazine subscription and that I only have to pay the shipping which turned out to be 29.99 a month. I just wanted to get them off the phone because I was at work. I was helping customers at the same time. They said I would get everything in writing first which I never did. Now they keep calling me and telling me I owe them money. When I typed their name into the search engine all that popped up was complaints about them. ok so my question is I don't actually OWE them anything right? more

Resolved Question: Domain Name / Building a website?

My husband and I are looking to make a website for our small business. We know the domain name isn't taken and we just want something simple like 1 page with info about the company, so people will see it when they search on google etc... I don't have any experience building websites, so I need some help. We're looking for something that looks decent, but we don't have a lot of $$ to spend. When looking at sites like Go Daddy, iPage, etc... these all advertise things like free domain for life or 3.95/month. I know these would be easier to build a website on, but is "renting" my domain name the best option? Is it possible to just buy the domain name forever? If I do one of these and they go under, do I still have my domain name to switch to another service? Do these services produce decent pages? I just don't want to get scammed since I don't know much about it. Or would I be better off to just go to a local web hosting company? Someone please walk me through what the best option would be here and how to do it. Thanks for your help! more

Resolved Question: I'M 15 AND TRYING TO WRITE MY FIRST NOVEL. WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT MY STORY LINE? (detailes, please)?

Theres A LOT of details not mentioned, so remember this is just a summary. i already posted something similar to this but this time i broke it up into paragraphs. So here it is =] --------------------------------------… Ok, so my story is about a 17 year old boy who lives in a Mexican village, in very poor conditions, makes his living as farmer and animal herder, and because his parents aren't around, he has to take care of six younger siblings all by himself. Anyways, one night he's in the woods and heres screams. Turns out it's some guy trying to take advantage of some poor girl. He manages to save her and takes her back to his place where she spends the night. The next morning he takes the girl to her village just a few miles away(she's from a different village), while the kids are still sleeping. When he returns he finds out that somebody came and kidnapped his youngest brother(age 6). The other children describe the person who kidnapped their bro, and THE boy figures it was the man whome he saved the girl from. He looks for his bro all around and finally finds him dead at the bottom of a cliff( where he was thrown off from). He cries and eventually swears revenge. He's not so nice from then on. He decides he's going to go to Mexico City and get a "real job" so they can start all over, away from the village, but first he needs to make some money. he leaves his siblings in the home of a trustworthy neighbor lady who agrees to look after them for a while. In the city he discovers a whole bunch of things he never knew about and has humorous adventures. Then he finds his long lost older brother whose in the military. THE boy tells his older bother that he too wants to join the force and his brother reluctantly helps him out. In the military he also has quite a few adventures and learns how not to let people push him around. Even though he doesn't go to war or anything like that they teach him how to use weapons and such. Mostly during the time he's there, they scavenge the mountains in search of illegal marijuana and cocaine farms, burning them, and arresting the drug cartel members. However, he eventually gets into a fight with a superior officer, and scrams before getting arrested. His brother flees with him. They hear about how much money people make working in the United States and decide they're going to try and cross the border. They try to go through some dense mountains (instead of the desert) and when they're almost there, Immigration catches them, but they manage to escape thanks to smart thinking. Once in the U.S., they go to california and have new experiences. Funny stuff happens mostly due to the fact they can barely speak english. Sadly, his older brother is murdered by a drunk roomate jeoulouse about a girl(long story) and he is again left alone. I know this is a long story, but please be patient and read it because I could really use some advice that will change my life. I am contemplating breaking up with my boyfriend. I am 22 years old and have been with him for seven years (since I was 15). He was 17 when we first started dating. Just to give you some background, we met at summer camp as counselors. We went to separate colleges in the same city. He graduated in 2008 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts and I am in my last year of college and will get a Bachelor’s Degree in English. We moved in together when I was 19 and he was 21. Everything was great when we were kids- no responsibility, constant fun, and it felt like the real thing (as it always does when you’re naive and 15). We have shared so many great experiences together and my entire, but short, adult life has been shaped by my time with him. I feel like I have to thank him for helping me be the person that I have become, as I am happy with who I am. If we were to not be together, I would have to put the last seven years of significant experiences in the back of my mind because it would break my heart to think about them. We have shared a home together, bought and raised pets together, went on vacations together, and always felt safe together. It was always my opinion that we had a healthy relationship. We had our heated arguments, but we have never laid a hand on each other. He graduated from college in 2008 and I thought it would really be the beginning of our permanent future. I thought that I would get a ring that year and live together as a couple for several years until we decided to have children- far into the future. He was still working at his part time job from college. I thought maybe the recession was giving him problems with his career search. I began to notice that he wasn’t even putting in job applications. It’s been a year in a half since he’s graduated, and he hasn’t even had an interview. In October 2008, I gave him a loan of $2,000 to pay off his credit card. I thought if I helped him with this, he might feel confident enough about his future and he would eventually ask to marry me. (A lot of times lack of money is the reason people cannot get married). That $2,000 was actually a loan that I took out for college expenses, it was not my money originally, it is a loan to me with interest. Last year he said he would work hard and get a job so that he could pay off my credit card to show his gratitude. Needless to say, he never got a job and has never given me a dime. We just moved out of our apartment a month ago because we could not afford it anymore. He got fired from his part time job in 2008 and never got another one. He is a graphic artist, so he spends most of his time doing free work local musicians, producers, and business owners. He does not ask for payment, so he does not get payment. I have told him countless times that he needs to ask for payment for his work, but he says “in the art world, you work for free and get your name out there, and it will eventually pay off.” Well a year and a half is a little too long for me. At least he could work on the side. Since I am a full time student, we could not live off of my part time job. He put all of the responsibility on me. He would never even write a personal check for a utility company, let alone mail it in. I worked my ass off in school and work. He did almost nothing at home, but refused to clean the apartment, clean a dish, or even just pick up after himself. I cannot even express how much communication I attempted in order to change things. I tried so hard to make him happy, hoping he would naturally strive for my happiness. We began to fight more, but I still had confidence in our relationship. Two months prior to putting in our 30 day notice to the apartment manager, I told my boyfriend that we would have to move out because we could not afford it anymore. Still, he did not get off his butt and get a job. It seems like he did not care enough about living with me, or else he would have taken action. I turned in our notice and he moved his stuff out right away. We still had 30 days, but he chose to move in with his 3 good friends. I was confused because I thought he would want to spend his last month with me, but he left me alone in that apartment. He never came back. He left me to clean everything. Cleaning that apartment was a full time job for 3 weeks, including help from my friends and family. They kept asking “where is he? Why isn’t he cleaning?” and I would say “I told him to, but he won’t.” For the past month now, I moved back in with my mom in the suburbs and he lives with his 3 friends in the city/campus. They pretty much have the same lifestyle as him- irresponsible, no ambition, and no job. He insists that I come to visit him at his apartment, but he has not come to see me at my house and says that he won’t ever. I think thThank you guys. The thread that was supposed to have contained the image reads like it was written by a Timothy McVeigh, or maybe the person you'd see at a G8 summit riot. Big quotes from civil rights leaders and news of their assasinations, lots of talk about "globalist pigs" and the government using "psychotechnology," mind control programs, social engineering, etc. The moderators of the forum apparently removed the image because it's no longer there, but Google thinks it's appropriate to leave it up on image search, apparently in the name of freedom of speech. Now a serious problem with my website and need a very fast reply from an expert. I have my own domain but my web hosting service is from 110mb which is a free. So my free hosting website is mysubdomain.110mb.com (I didn't want to spam here). Now the problem arises: I set DNS name servers to my free website and linked them. So my new domain- mydomain.com points to mysubdomain.110mb.com I submitted mydomain.com to google a week back and the Google robots crawled my website and indexed them. Unfortunately I resubmitted my url mydomain.com few days back. But for the past few days I dont find mydomain.com in the google search engine rather there are cached pages from mysubdomain.110mb.com Now my question is- Is my website mydomain.com takes longer to be indexed because i resubmitted my website? (or) Is my website mydomain.com been penalised because of the duplicate content? (that is my own website mysubdomain.110mb.com that really points to mydomain.com) I guess it should be the second case because I saw some posts in 110mb forum as such. Resolved Question: What is a good website/domain hosting site?

I am wondering what a good website is to create my own web page and also make my own web address? I make and sell things at farmers markets and I have had customers ask if I have a website where I sell my items also. I don't need anything big and fancy or elaborate. Just something to place photos of my items and put my contact info. I also want to be able to make the website address the name of my business....any good free ones out there? Resolved Question: Can private parties lien sale vehicles?

I have a car at my house that belongs to my dad. He's moving, not taking the car because it won't make it there. The car is worth crap, $500-$800 at best. I'm in Virginia, but there used to be an outstanding debt on the car in California. My dad stopped making payments on it about 5 years ago, when he started using drugs. Since then, the statute of limitations for the debt has expired, meaning they can't try to collect the debt anymore, and the bank wrote off (or charged off) the debt years ago. My sister's name was also on title as the co-signer, she has no interest in the vehicle either and she's still in California. Debt wise, I know I'm free and clear, but I can't do anything (like sell) the vehicle since the title is held by the bank still. According to Virginia law, if the vehicle is on your property for 10 days (as an abandoned vehicle), you pay $25 to search for the legal and registered owners, send them a notice and they have 15 days to remove the vehicle from your property, then you have to try to "lien sale" the vehicle for 21 days, if you get no buyer, you can re-title it in your own name. My main concerns here are: Considering the loan was sold by the bank to a collections company, would they even bother coming to get the car? It's almost 4000 miles away from the lienholder, and the cost of getting it back to California would be 3 times what the car is worth, it can't even be driven there. Now, if they didn't come get the car, can I, as a private party, not representing a business, conduct a lien sale? I can't find much for specific info. What I'd like to happen is conduct a lien sale and either sell the vehicle or re-title it to myself and then sell privately, so my sister's name is free and clear of it as the bank would have been notified of the lien sale (in the case they don't come to get it.) Any advice?I HAVE CONTACTED THE BANK--THEY WILL NOT ASSIST ME BECAUSE I'M NOT ON THE LOAN, NOR DO THEY OWN THE LOAN AS IT WAS SOLD TO COLLECTORS LONG AGO. THEY WILL NOT HELP ME. So...I can't believe that I fell in this trap but I did...so just to warn others. There are more posts related to this on Yahoo answers, but a little older...so I thought I would refresh the info. There are a lot of internet money making scams out there, but these people get better and better. They advertise on what it seems like legit websites, they say they will only charge you $1 for shipping fees and they put Google in their name to make it more credible. Anyway, after one pays the $1 then you can see if you look carefully on the bottom of the page, with very small letters, that they will charge you a membership fee of ~79 monthly. They never say anything about this before you pay. Below I pasted the e-mail confirmation I got from them...and it says something about a membership fee now, but still not how much it is. People apparently got charged the amount after 7 days without even knowing why. Anyway...right after I signed up for it I called the 1-800- number listed below and they cancelled my account. But still I'm worried about my credit card...I'll have to watch it carefully! So...be careful out there...all these internet money making websites are scam! Here is my problem. A while ago a girl I used to date stole my car as a joke. She only moved it to the other end of the parking lot where I work, but the car was under my mom’s name. So my mother called the police. We are now waiting to go to court where I will have to testify against this girl. She will probably get off scott free because I have allowed her to drive my car in the past. She lived with us for a while so she knew I kept a spare key in the gas tank. The cameras have footage of her moving my car. I sincerely think it was just a joke, but mother insists on prosecuting. But I receved a message from her just the other day that if she gets charged with anything she will call my place of employment and have them check the cameras. I used to take things from work but pay for them when I got my paycheck. Example: I would need shampoo, take it. Then pay for a bottle of shampoo when I had the money. No one knows except for her, and the security cameras at work of coarse. I’m sure there has been a few things I have forgotten to pay for later, but I would gladly pay double for whatever I might have took. The place I work is a medium sized grocery store with their own head quarters and such, they invested a lot of time searching through video surveillance trying to catch this old friend, they even called in a specialist. Do you think my work will fire me and press charges if she does call? Do you think they would hire someone to search through months of video recordings? What is the worst that may happen to me? Also this girl who threatens to call my work has also stolen items, but she has never gone back and paid for them, she just plain old took them and ran. The main concern I ask is because I am halfway through college, majoring in Spanish and minoring in business, I have everything going for me now and I am planning to study abroad in Puerto Rico next year. My profile name is coincidence - I have no physcologist. Classic Teenager question I know - I've been browsing the web for a few hours, and so far, meh, hard to find anything but vague responses to all my questions. My three questions are all inter-connected, so I'll try to explain a little about me and get the picture set up. When I say I'm tired from thinking about life - it all starts with not knowning what I want to do. Sometimes I go a month or two without thinking about this - and then either youtube or someone I see reminds me that I don't really have something special about me (I.E. Skateboarder, Writer, Musician), and I wonder why I'm not any of those - even while I've wanted to do them all - and tried. I did have something a long time ago - when I was twelve I had a plane ticket to Junior Nationals for Figure-Skating - Genetics cut me out of the loop with injury. I want to be a writer - and while my ability to write does surpass most high schoolers - it isn't anywhere near that exceptional will be novelist someday level. Musician - I was a French Horn player, but I disliked marching band - and all band kids are required to be in marching band to be in second semester symphonic band. So then I get back to the point - I think about: what do I want to do in life? Be a pilot? On average they have cruddy lives and cruddy pay - haven't met a happy one yet. Join the peace corps? My parents will stop supporting me. Becoming a Finance Manager for a large company with a college degree? Yep - That's the one - I'm good with math, and with people, and I can picture myself doing just that - Drinking my morning coffee, ride the elevator up becase I've become so out of shape and pissed at life that I could care less about being fit. But I have money! Not that great is it? Then I think to myself - Nico, you could be a pilot, maybe you really would be one of the few who would enjoy "Puddle Jumping" Flying small planes on one to three hour flights. If I do that - My father goes to live in his favorite country and I'm forced on my own. If I don't, I get free housing during college and someone who will help pay for my Lauder Degree at Wharton - That's an awful lot to turn down just because I don't "Love" being a business man. This is where my motivation is so low - I could make six figures like my father - and It's virtually handed to me on a platter since I don't really have to take heavy loans out. But I can picture the lifestyle so well and so lame in my mind that it makes me go - Meh, do I really want to get that degree KNOWING what I'm going into? My father has a good amount of wrinkles around his mouth. And just before I came on here (YahooA!) - I got so motivated to write a story, to just try again, that maybe since it's been six months since I've written one and since I've also recently read two novels, I might write a better story. But then I looked up short stories and how to write better - and funny enough - after reading for about thirty minutes on how to prepare my characters and theme and plot - things I knew but was rereading to solidify in head, I saw this story written by a college student about what she wanted in life. In short - she gave through dialogue advice on how to find what you want to do - clear your mind and meditate - and then I browsed google "How to Meditate". Clear your mind of all wants and all thoughts associated with that - that it will take many days to clear your mind. It made me tired just thinking about that because of the amount of thoughts running wild in my brain without my control which in a loop leads me to be tired because I have to think about how to think better to be able to think what I want to think. MMEEEEEHHHHH. Before I typed this I was had to fight off five minutes of half my brain saying lets go to sleep I'm tired we can nap and all will be better - and for another month I wouldn't think about it, and I can keep pushing it off, but I really feel that these thoughts and this reocurrence of them is part of my own brain trying to get myself into a clear mind or knowning what I want - and really tonight and right as I type this sentence, I actually think that today I broke the barrier somewhat by fighting off the relapse. I am seventeen since some of you may need a reference point. My questions - I don't really know what questions I have to be honest. How can I find motivation? How can I know what I want to do? I've tried different things, I've searched endless hours on the internet for answers. I don't want to just "wait" and hope that something sparks and finds me later in life. It's driving me mad. I have nothing special about me like sports, or academics. To save any needles coments - I'm in shape because I ride my bike to school a decent amount of miles to school everyday, and my GPA is 3.4. I'm not a wiz nor an idiot. I'm not Orlando Bloom nor the ugliest thing alive. I don't know what the hell I want to do or be, so I'm here trying to find consolation. I looked up my name on the internet just out of curiosity once. I found that I am listed on several person finding websites with my address, age, and even previous places I have lived. I do not use Myspace, or Facebook, and I am usually very stingy about who I give my data too. I told the phone company not to list me in the phonebook. I am not involved with any public organizations, I am not even registered for any political party. There was an option to buy even more info about me. I suspect they have my phone number as well. Resolved Question: LinkedIn question about viewing members- THANK YOU!?

I joined a few groups in LinkedIn and when I click on the "Members" tab I use to be able to see several pages of basic member profiles (name+company). Today I only can see the 1st page- when I click pages 2, 3, 4....it refreshes back to page 1. This is happening in every group...even when there are 25 pages of people in my group. What is happening? Is there a limit of how many people I can look at? If so, is it daily, monthly, yearly? What is that limit and how do I see more. What is the point of joining a networking group if I cannot see my network? I have a free membership- the upgrade Business plan- per month states: "300 Candidates per search." So even if I pay, I can only view 300 people a month? That is only 10/day...not very many. Is there a LIVE PERSON I can call? I emailed but never heard back. Is this "300" different than my own personal group network? When American's dumped British Tea in Boston Harbor. But not everyone understands the importance of it, and why the Tea Party is still remembered today. It was on December 16, 1773, when American patriots disguised as Mohawk Indians threw 342 chests of tea belonging to the British East India Company from ships into Boston Harbor. "The Americans were protesting both a tax on tea (the Townshend Acts) and the perceived monopoly of the East India Company (also the called English East India Company)" (Britannica p.1). The Townshend Acts were a series of four acts passed by the British Parliament in an attempt to assert what it considered to be its historic right of colonial authority through suspension of a recalcitrant representative assembly and through strict collection provisions of additional revenue duties. The British-American colonists named the acts after Charles Townshend, who sponsored them. "The Suspending Act prohibited the New York Assembly from conducting any further business until it complied with the financial requirements of the Quartering Act (1765) for the expenses of British troops stationed there" (Britannica p.1). The other reason is, since I don't do templates and every site is designed from scratch there is much more work involved, and if someone is done with their site, moves on to another company or whatever, then I am free to take that design with me and sell it to someone else who may have similar needs. I kinda feel like a jerk, and although I had no intention of misleading anyone it appears that there was some confusion. OK... I design websites. I do not sell templates. As a matter of fact it is all over my website that I do not do templates, ever. But a little over a year ago a new client came along and said he was looking for a template. He said he wanted a website built that looked cool and that he would update it. I never told him I would give him a template, as a matter of fact I told him that he seemed like a busy guy and that I would be there to do the updating of his site for him. So what I offered him (verbatim) is: ********* $365 Includes: 5-7 page site designed and implemented Hosting if needed Up to 100 Email Addresses (if hosting with me) Flash Design (2 max) Logo Design and / or Manipulation Contact form on site (PHP) Free Updates for the existing content of the site (once site is designed and implemented) 1 Year - 24/7 Support (just email or call me anytime for any reason) Submission of your URL to over 200 Search Engines quarterly After one year, if you like to continue my services I just invoice you an additional $365 on the 1 year anniversary date. ********** Now... Resolved Question: What's up with Windows Live Hotmail?

Everything was fine this morning. The only new thing was I downloaded Internet Explorer 8, but it was working after I did that. Here's the deal: I go to www.hotmail.com I log in as usual, and this message comes up instead of my inbox: "You don't have an inbox...yet Sign up for Windows Live Hotmail and get a free, customizable inbox with lots of storage and great security. Note: Whether you use Hotmail or not, you can always go to your contact list." Well, first off, I HAVE an inbox - or at least I did this morning. Second, when I click the link to sign up for windows live mail, it takes me to a screen with the following option: "Already using Hotmail, Messenger, or Xbox LIVE? Sign in now" Even though I'm already signed in, I hit "sign in" again, and log in, and I get back to the first screen saying I don't have an inbox. This continues in circles. Since that was getting me nowhere, I then tried to fill out the form to get a windows live id, but now it's saying that my current email id is already taken (and it is a very rare id since not many have my last name). What happened? Where did my inbox go? Will I ever be able to get my old messages back? And what about all the important emails I'll be missing? That email address is my "business" email address I give out to my school, bank, doctor, etc. What gives? Oh, and I've searched through every "help" link possible and the best I could get was that hotmail doesn't exist anymore and that all @hotmail stuff is now @live stuff, but it doesn't tell me why my entire account is inaccessible to me without warning, and I have yet to find a way to talk to an actual person from Microsoft.It's fixed now! I have purchased a template. I have a website using Yahoo small business. I am trying to figure out how to put this template on to my site. I really need help. I am familiar with HTML but not CSS and it uses alot of CSS. Here are the instructions it gives me: BASIC TEMPLATE INSTRUCTIONS Before getting started you should always duplicate this folder in another location, in order to refer back to original documents when needed. In order to use the same fonts as the sample file you will need to copy and paste the fonts located in your FONTS folder, into your fonts’ folder on your computer. Location Of folder: My Computer/WINDOWS/fonts Refer to the style.css file (located inside the SITE folder, folder name: styles] along with the html web pages) when needing to modify your text, colors, and some background images and colors. View your source code to identify which items you want to modify. This web template is designed in advanced cascading style sheets format. In order to work with this template you will need some understanding of how to use cascading style sheets. To learn more go to http://www.w3schools.com/css/default.asp. THERE ARE 2 VERSIONS OF LAYOUT DESIGN TO CHOOSE FROM. All web template files for the table-based site are located in the folder named “TABLE BASED SITE”. Resolved Question: How can I search residential phone numbers by zip code w/o a name, I want a list?

I wish I had a digital version of the phone book that used to get dropped off at my door in the old days. I would like to get a list of phone numbers within a specific zip code. Most directories require a last name, or a phone number for a reverse search. I would like to know if there is somewhere I can go that will allow me to get the whole list of phone numbers within a specified zip code. Anyone know of such a place? I wouldn't necessarily be opposed to paying for this information, although I would certainly prefer free, and I don't need all the extra information like most lead companies charge alot for, just the numbers. Resolved Question: No taskbar no icons no right click on the desktop just the wallpaper? WTF?

Yeah that's what happened and it just sucks!!!It's the second time I get this crap. I know it's explorer.exe's fault coz when I try to open it in task manager it just won't show up it says "explorer.exe not found". You know, before trying to answer my question, I have to tell you that I'm not a noob at all in computer matters. I'll start by telling you what I did before getting this error. 1. Opened up Mozilla. Everything was fine working well browsing websites viewing forums etc. I went to see a review about Norton's Internet Security on their forums. While viewing I thought of scanning my computer with Avira Free Antivir 2. Opened up Luke Filewalker(wtf yea I know the name sucks but at least it's a good scanner ;) ) 3. Got a detection from Avira: Worm:Adan or something I forgot the second word from one of the running processes svchost.exe( at first I thought this was the cause) 4. Deleted the detection(without noticing that the process was already running) 5.Tried to close Firefox but it just failed to close and wasn't responding. 6.So I did a restart 7.Guess what? 9.You didn't notice there's no point 8 :P 10. Back to business...After rebooting, the wallpaper was the only one to show up. The desktop icons and the taskbar disappeared. Also I couldn't right click. This is what I did after: 11. Stayed cool ( and I'm proud of me for doing that) 12. Searched Google (GOOGLE, MY BEST FRIEND!!!) for methods to solve this problem and I found a lot of noobs that would have the same problem. I called them noobs because they didn't even try to open up explorer.exe before asking :P. 13. Found some methods but none satisfied me. 14. I think the core files r damaged...-.- 15. So I came across Yahoo Answers... 16. So I thought I shouldn't miss the opportunity to ask you gays(oops sorry I meant GUYS) (XD) what to do. 17. HEEEELP. P.S.: I tried that command in New Task in Task Manager I can't remember it's name now >.< but it was something like a system restore, scanning for system errors. It found about 2 errors and it asked me for the installation CD of Windows but I can't find it coz when I moved in the new house the Windows was already installed on the computer and the CD seemed useless so we didn't pay much attention for it when we moved. I can't just reinstall the new windows coz I can't get over reinstalling all of the programs and games( I'm so darn attached to them >.<). Lily was happy about everything in her life, except one thing - she missed her home. She missed her parents. She missed her sister and home-town friends. So one breezy evening, Lily decided to go visit home. She packed a bunch of things for her journey. She thought about taking Dr. Edward Springs her husband, but her family didn’t know she got married. So she left him home so someone could pay the bills and mortgage. Ever since Lily married Edward she always had a bad feeling about him, he always gave her this cold shoulder. That made her shivers inside. Lily thought that he was going to end up killing her.
