In the two slot was Big Business, who, for those unfamiliar, are as powerful a rock duo that you will find anywhere on the planet. The band was forced to stop mid song and take several minutes off for the "technical D." KN Appoints Media Research Head

In the US, consumer information and research firm Knowledge Networks (KN) has appointed Martin Zagorsek as EVP Client Service, in charge of Custom Marketing and the Media Research team in the firm�s New York office.

Before joining, Zagorsek was VP for Games & Software at the NPD Group, where he developed new techniques and products to track consumer use of emerging digital channels for accessing games and software. He previously served as VP, Strategy, for YaYa Media; and as Director, Business Consulting, for Sapient Corporation. He has an MBA from The Wharton School, and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Systems Design Engineering from the University of Waterloo (Canada).

Surprise: Women Care Less about Business, More about Friendship!

The reasons I can see here is that probably women have not yet realized the full potential of social networking for businesses and simply are not as business-oriented by their nature as men are. So right now social networking looks more like a hobby for young women that have nothing to do offline - the most active category on all the social networks are women aged 14 to 24.

Also there is one thing that I find quite comfortable - the study shows that the crazy friendship patterns of the technology-oriented world do not repeat themselves for average users. It is not really popular to have over thousand social networking friends - out of 49 million people studied less than 200 thousand had 1,001-10,000 friends and only 2,700 users had over 10,000 friends.

And in this category of hyper-connected people I am actually pleased to see slightly more men than women - 88,246 for women versus 90,803 for men. more

This is a real screwed up situation, & I really don't know how to even explain the whole situation, But I will try my best! First let me tell you a little about myself, I am 42, married for 17years, I have two girls 19 & 23 from a previous marriage. The oldest has moved on & the youngest is still home of course! Life with my husband, well it is what it is. Its not always easy, for he has got issues if his own, & I have learned over the past years that I cant change him, a person needs to change themselves I am the one that needs to change, not that there is anything wrong or bad with me, but I need to change what I tolerate & everything else that comes with this type of relationship. We can get along so great, & then it just gets bad. Put it this way, its a whole other topic & its depressing, and I just get exhausted thinking about it. I have lupus SLE, mild for a long time & now its gotten worst, lots of meds, in bed a lot, I am a fighter & I try real hard, I have been sick this year more than ever. I know maybe a lot of you are unfamiliar with the disease, but stress dosnt help it at all. I dont work, ha! it would be hard at times with my sickness, but it falls back to the marriage situation. " another topic" Ok, here goes the nightmare! 3 yrs ago I met this guy, no big deal we have a tractor trailer, self employed & he just happened to be working at a place I was doing business a lot with, well usually I dont speak too much to anybody, I mean hell I rarley leave my house. But anyways, I just never really pay much attention, to avoid conflict. I am not stuck up by no means, I just mind my own, not out to impress nobody. Well after seeing him, on a daily, sometimes weekly manor, it was always small talk, "hey whats up", "hows the kids" then being I am from around here my whole life, small towns & most everbody knows everybody it turned out through small talk that he knew this one & I knew that one and on & on. Then out of the blue one day, he tells me he likes me, wants to get to know me better, has heard from whom ever different things that my husband and I had been through, " the cops being involved in some of my husbands temper moments" well needless to say he started really freaking me out with some of the stuff he kept on & on about. Well It got to a point where I would avoid him. I wanted no part of it, I mean this guy could get me killed! He kept it up and kept it up, he would litterly beg, please give me a chance, he was gonna leave his wife and give me a better life. I got real nasty, I stopped all business with this place when he was even going to be around, I changed all sorts of contracts just to be rid of him. Well he figured out what I did and started calling my house like crazy, following me. Then one day I get a phone call from his wife, she tells me how her husband had been talking about me for months, he was telling her how he had fallen in love with me. Well I was blown right away about the things she was saying, and I point blank told her I want nothing at all to do with your husband and I do not need any of this, I could not believe he was that nuts! So me as stupied I guess is what you could say, tell my husband! Thinking he is my husband and why not tell him, I mean this other guy is a nut case! Well needless to say it didnt go over to well, I dont know of what name I wasnt called, " all together its like this" "its nice to know if I were raped it would be for sure my fault I would have done something to prevoke it". Well time has gone on & I really thought that ok, this guy, now has the picture, I dont want him, never did and trying to cause trouble with his wife didnt work, I at this point am thinking its done, he is gone! I changed my phone number & everything. A few months later strange things started happening, things being left in my mailbox, like a flower, music cd's, it took me not long to figure ouut who it was, then I would spot him driving by really slow. I do have a best friend of 29years that I have spoken to about this, she kept telling me this isnt good. well this has gone on now for 3 years, here is a list of things that he has done,leaves things in my mail box, calls my house from weired numbers"pay phones" his work, and even once at 6am from his cell phone, drives by my house, has shown to my girl friends house who he barley knows! Begging her to talk to me, she told him, she is married, happy and you need to leave her alone, then he kept calling her until her husband freaked out on him. I have come out of stores, he is in the parking lot, 2 summers ago I had my mother with me and my aunt and I seen him I drove right up to his truck and old him go,,go away leave me alone. He sat there begging me to talk to him! My husband and I have five kids together. He's a great provider; and wonderful father. While I'm a stay at home mom. Although, my husband works and provides for the family is "awesome!" My question is: is that the only thing that should be expected for him to do? Recently, there's been a huge shift in our income. I've been playing around with photography for the last couple of years. I've gotten comfortable and quite good to start my own business to help with our income current situation. Along with individuals wanting to schedule sessions. I've got all the equipment I need to get started from lights, camera, lens, you name it, etc. My challenge I'm facing is: He will not support me to get going. He's willing to watch the kids for scheduled paid sessions. Of course with time limits..which is the easy part. The most time consuming is editing the images and preparing them for client proofing. All I ask for him is to give me at least 3 hours during the week to edit photos to get back to clients in a timely manner. The only thing he suggest I do is get up early and stay up later. Which is fine but I need sometime during the day when I'm most creative to work. Are there any creative suggestions anyone can recommend I do? He's self employed and has a very flexible schedule!! I'm wondering if I'm making too big of a deal with this or just making excuses. He's been able to work in peace for years with out any interruptions and the support to maintain a successful business. It's been years since I've had a break...just time along for myself. It seems like it's always about him and what he needs to do. Open Question: I chose the wrong major when I started college. I have the right major now. How do I start over?

I am currently at my fourth university. I have majored in two different fields (aviation & political science) and minored in three different fields (business, psychology, & philosophy). Originally I had passion in all of these subjects. The more I became specialized in each field the more I resented the field. I guess I just had romantic ideas about what could be accomplished with a chosen field of endeavor and then I was struck with the reality of how businesses and job markets are shaping my educational pursuit. Anyway, I have always been a talented musician, but up until last semester I never considered training to become a professional. The great thing is the more I become specialized in this field the more I truly grow to enjoy and respect the field. There is no doubt that this is where I belong, but it took me along time to get here and now I have $26,000 in student loans and just about 150 credit hours on my record. When I reach 150 credit hours I will no longer be able to recieve the pell grant or any other government grant for that matter (at least to my knowledge). The only debt I have to my name is student loans, I started investing money about a year ago and I have $4,000 in securities. That's basically my position. I have a passion but I don't have the means to pursue it. I have set goals, for instance, I would like to have my B.M. by 2015 and my Doctorate of Music by 2020. We are holding a fake election in our class, can you tell me if this is enough: I assure a cheery “Good afternoon!” to our dearest Mr. Fagert, along with the rest of the class. Because nobody in my group wanted to be in the election for governor, I am standing in front of you today, ready to tackle whatever comes my way. First of all, I would like to address my following concerns and issues before I continue: Illegal Immigration, State Spending and Taxes, Education, Texas Trans Highway, and last, but not least, my choice: Smoking. Illegal Immigration, a word that already has a negative side to it. Many people have invaded our country, leading into a vicious attack. One of the ways these horrible people sneak in is through the border. Yes, that line between Texas and Mexico. Illegal Immigration started about 30-40 years ago. To prevent our state, along with the rest of the country, from being in the hands of violent trespassers, I have a few suggestions. 1. I know you’ve probably heard it at least 300 times, but WE NEED MORE BORDER SECURITY! This helps ensure our state’s safety. 2. Instead of focusing more on closing/securing the border, we need to do one thing and make everyone present right now a legal citizen. Now I’m not saying, just go to each house and make everyone legal. We need to start scanning fingerprints, passports, and history backgrounds of each person, then decide whether to make a legal citizen or not. This will make the process faster. Today, we all know we are falling into a recession. We’ve fell into the hole, and we haven’t climbed out yet. Well, Texas has a part in that too, hence the name the United States. Currently, signing a bill on June 19th 2009, our governor passed a 2 year budget of 182.3 billion dollars. Now, think about it. If we cut taxes on many businesses, won’t we have more money to spread among all you and to provide more for more important issues? IF I become governor, I hope to do just that. Education: Though the kids right there (point) may groan at this. We have to face the truth- We need it! Without education, no one would invent I-Pods, cell phones, CHOCOLATE, or even, those new Apple Tablet I-Pads. We need to enforce kids with more fun stuff to do. The kids of today, I have to admit, get soooo bored with the curriculum sometimes! I suggest the following: 1. laptops for those who can’t afford one, this is for studying uses, and for entertainment at times 2. We need teachers who can understand children’s stress nowadays! And Mr. Fagert, you’re a perfect example of what a teacher should be: Semi-Sweet, a little strict, but overpowering kindness. We all have heard of or have known a person in a tragic car accident. Well, maybe there’s some way we can prevent most accidents from occurring? 1. I suggest encountering a group of people called “Traffic Patrol”. Many accidents happen because of street light failures. To put it in simple words, you know, when you’re stopped at an intersection, and there’s a green light at both places? Yikes. Instances like these are the cost of valuable lives. Traffic Patrol can be stationed at different areas of Texas. Basically, they get paid (not from your taxes) to see if traffic lights and stop signs are accurate. If something isn’t working, or is misplaced, they immediately are to enlighten a company, who will fix it later. 2. We need to be stricter about using cell phones while driving. You know how many people die of using cell phones when driving? Enough to make companies like Geico and Allstate a killing! With me as governor, I promise to enhance a better driving environment. Smoking is the number one cause for Cancer. We all know cancer is a serious thing, yet we know that smoking is bad… How come people can’t connect these two facts together and try their hardest to quit? Well, maybe because most people who still smoke don’t know this. How much did our government spend on smoking education last year? None. If you elect me as governor, I promise to ensure that smoking is bad, and provide a tragic-free state. Well, you’re all probably sleeping in your chairs, so I’ll finish my speech here. Resolved Question: Why do so many people think I'm weird?

Okay, so I'm a guy in 8th grade. At my school, each grade is divided into primarily two "teams", each one having 4 teachers for each subject. For whatever reason, the students call them the "Advanced" and "Normal" (sometimes even "Stupid") teams, but that doesn't make any sense at all because we all basically learn the same thing at the same time, unless you're like in Algebra 1 or something instead of 8th Grade Math. Anyway, almost ALL of the "Normal" people call me a nerd, weirdo, stalker (I don't even know where they got this one from), and every other negative name under the sun. But they don't say these things directly, they just talk about me amongst themselves. Like when I pass people in the halls they don't whisper "loser" or anything like that, but I know for a fact that they talk about me behind their backs. When I talked to some of my friends in that team (which are few), they said the others think I'm weird because of the way I talk, act, walk, dress (which I'm like wtf because we have uniforms!), look. Some people say my last name is strange (in a bad way) too! One time during lunch I was talking to another friend about this and she was like "I don't know why so many people call you weird because you don't act weird and you don't do anything that's weird." She's one of those people that most people like and respect. Anyway, I'm basically a quiet person that minds his own business, and some people say I'm like really smart (which is probably why some call me a nerd). But even though I'm quiet, when I get into conversations I really TALK a lot. And of the people in my team, I hang out with basically every type of person and try to start a conversation with everyone at least once. What I don't understand is that even some people that I have NEVER talked to and don't even KNOW me also say I'm just plain weird. And if one of my friends step in and defend me by saying something like "Hey, I'm his friend! Don't talk about him like that!", the other people are like "Ewww, really?" Honestly, this whole situation is just frustrating and annoying.... Any suggestions to help me? My 23 year old ex-girlfriend and I had some major problems, broke up, and she moved away for a military job. Voting Question: My estranged sister called and threatened me today, what should I do?

My much older, estranged, adopted sister and I's father is in the hospital with major heart problems and internal bleeding. My father and I have not always had a strong relationship but I moved in with him to take care of him as he is getting older (turning 82 this year). My sister and I have not been on good terms since she completely humiliated me about nine years ago and placed blame on me for our father's health deteriorating ( I can't help that I was in college and not able to be there for him). Anyway, my father has apparently been giving information to my sister about me that he has not shared with me. My boyfriend has temporarily moved in to help out around the house. He and my dad get along very well and my dad had already given him permission to move in. Our neighbors in the community (who are also close friends of my dads and have known me for a long time) have made my boyfriend and I feel very uncomfortable by dropping in unexpectedly at the house while we are here and making comments to us about how my dad doesn't want us there. There was a lack of communication and I straightened everything out with my dad. Now he is in the hospital and my sister called me today and demanded that my bf move out before dad returns home because that is the reason he went into the hospital to begin with. She told me that if I did not have the bf move out, this day would haunt me for the rest of my life, and then told me she never makes empty threats. I am absolutely floored that she feels like she has this right to tell me what to do ( I am a grown woman... almost 30 years old). My sister is in her late 50's. I want to make sure that my dad has all the recovery time in a home that is not a stressful place for him to be.
