China-Europe Int. Business Sch. launched in Accra

A consortium of International Business Executives is to launch in Accra a school known as the China-Europe International Business School. The Institution, the first of its kind in Africa is already in four other countries, China, Mexico, Argentina and Spain. This came to light when the Business leaders called on President Kufuor at the castle.

They were led by the Executive President of the School in China, Professor Pedro Nuedo. President Kufuor said business, like other fields of endeavour must be taught along scientific lines. He said he was overwhelmed by the news of establishing such an international institution in Ghana.

The President stressed the need for the ambitious youth to get an insight into what makes a good business person. He hoped through that they would be excited enough to venture into the sector. more

Business boss in at Chamber

The Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce Group has appointed Gary Cranford as business manager for Reading and West Berkshire.

With a background in account management and new business sales, he will be charged with updating Chamber members on the range of services available as part of a membership package.

Mr Cranford, pictured, said: “I am looking forward to introducing myself to Chamber members in the Reading and West Berkshire areas and working alongside them to ensure they fully utilise their membership.

“I am also very keen to work with the Chamber councils and members of the local business community to encourage future growth and success of the Chamber."
