(AFX UK Focus) 2008-03-31 09:45 GMT: Ementor targets sales of 200 mln crowns by 2010 from recycling business

OSLO (Thomson Financial) - Ementor ASA said it expects its recycling business to post sales of approximately 200 million Norwegian crowns in 2010, up from today's 25 million crown figure, as a result of an increased focus on "green IT concepts".

"Green IT is a concept under development and we expect to see an increasing impact from this new concept within few years," said chief executive Claus Hougesen.

"In the future, use of IT is expected to increase to make our world more efficient and effective, which means energy costs and the amount of scrapped IT equipment will increase significantly."

This, he said, provides Ementor with the opportunity to play a larger role in the recycling and reuse of IT equipment.

To help improve Ementor's focus on this area, the firm said it has hired former Topnordic director Claus Johansen, 35, to spearhead its new strategy. more

I just don't understand a lot of Black female's attitudes about our relationship. My man decided he wanted me because the pickings amongst Black women were slim to none. Dear University of Connecticut Admissions Office: I recently received a letter in the mail stating that a decision on my application has been deferred until mid-April. It probably is no surprise that this letter came as a disappointment to me, as UConn is one of the colleges that I am most excited about. I hope that my senior year achievements will help my chances of being accepted. My high school has been a great place for me to learn, lead, and achieve greatness. As my application stated, I started one of the most profitable charity events at my school and I am continuing to do my best inside and outside of the classroom. As always, my grades are my number one priority, as I am not a victim of “senioritis.” Here are some of my accomplishments from senior year: •Honor Roll 1st and 2nd Marking Periods (Enrolled in A.P. Spanish, Honors Calculus, Honors Humanities, and more) •Advancing to the state tournament for D.E.C.A. Open Question: Do you think I bummed the interview or was the interviewer missed out on a potential good employee?

So this is what happen the other day I went to an interview that was reffered to me by my sisters friend. She told me that her friends works at a law firm and they are looking for a law clerk so I said sure I am interested cause i am looking for work I am a Business Grad so I accept being that its so close to my college. So i faxed in my resume and cover letter and the lawyer was impressed at my writing skills so we set up an interview. Well when i got there I sat down in this room and talk to the lawyer that was interviewing me he asked me a bunch of questions that are typical during an interview because i did practice. He wanted to know where i was born, how old was I etc.. I didnt think anything of it. Then he ask me for salary requirements and how much i want and instead of saying open i listen to my sister and told him i wanted 15-20 an hour. Then he shuts me out and says this positiion only pays 11 an hour. So i told him I am negotiable and is open to that then he ask me am i the sole provider in my family and i told him no but I kind of am cause i live with my mom and I actually want to help her out at home. So all of sudden im thinking i bombed the interview with that line. So then the wierd thing he all of sudden says you have a POP QUIZ and im thinking to myself I havent heard that line since middle school. And he was serious so he gave me questions staying: 1) What would i do if I caught David (friend of my sister) texting during business hours? 2) What do I think of Obama's performance so far? 3) What would I do if a client gets angry at me and tells me I am transfering calls to the lawyer? I had to literally write a 3 page essay on all these questions I was so frustrated I wanted to leave but I didnt because I am representing my sisters friend and didnt want to give him a bad impression. So i wrote the essay and hes like oh thanks. Well unfortunatley I cannot pay you what you want and you have a darn good resume and you might get what you want. Come back in a month and i will re-interview you. I know I am young 23 but is this is the real world suppose to be lol Do you think I bombed the interview with the salary requirements or do you think this was wierd interview position?? My name is Nusratullah Mohammad and I am a US Citizen and a frequent flyer with Emirates as I have a home and business in the USA as well as in Pakistan. I flew from RIC to JFK thru connecting flight and from JFK to Dubai on Emirates Flight EK 204 on 2nd of January, 2010.And from Dubai to Karachi on Emirates Flight EK 606 on 3rd January, 2010. During my trip back from US to Karachi I discovered that one of my checked in bags was opened and my brand new laptop along with its accessories and Silver sonic XL personal sound amplifier were missing. I tried to reach the local Emirates office over the phone, however after so many failed attempts I finally went back to the airport and spoke with Mr. Zeeshan and Station manager Jinah Int’l Airport Mr.Fahim Zuberi in person. And I was advised to file a written claim along with the copies of my Passport, ticket, boarding passes and baggage tickets, which I did right on the spot and I was also advised to wait for 15 business days as it takes that long for them to run an investigation. And I was also told that I will be contacted within this timeframe either with the recovery of the goods or compensation to settle for. It has been more than three weeks now and I have neither been contacted nor received any notification as to what exactly is going on. So I went back again to know the status of my claim Fahim Zuberi told me that once he also lost a whole bag never got it back so you also forget your missing stuff. I told him this is not the way to run airline I will go to your head office and tell them what is going on with their customers. Today I received a letter from emirates Karachi office saying that computers and electronics are not allowed in luggage you should have read that before flying. Tell me one thing if a person who works for emirates airline for years he didn’t know about this rule until I filed my claim how should I know. He should have told me when I filed my claim that means he didn’t know that either. What a joke!I have been trying to find corporate office address and fax number to let their superior know that their staff in Pakistan are stealing passengers belongings I couldn’t find it. We've been dating for 4 months, I've been gone for a month on business, I get home and she is out of town working, then sends me this email.......... John, I felt the need to get up and write you a letter tonight. I have been very busy this week and I find that I am going to be very busy again next week. I have hired someone here in ???? but I am going to have to come back next week and finish her training as she didn't know anything about the program and this area is a problem area as it is so I needed to make sure she got the training that she needed to handle this area. I know that you are probably very disappointed in me. In a way I don't blame you but then I have to do what I have to do. I know that you said you were lonely. I don't want you to be lonely anymore. Consider the following scenario: You are the CEO of a large, U.S.-based corporation that manufactures electronics for the appliance industry. Your corporation is in the midst of joint venture negotiations with Sochu Ltd. in Asia. Sochu Ltd. is a very large electronics manufacturer with multiple plants in China, Taiwan, Thailand and Singapore. This joint venture could open up the Asian market for your corporation and would likely prove to be extremely profitable for both venture partners. It may also save or perhaps even expand U.S.-based jobs in your corporation in customer service, sales and marketing and engineering in order to design products that meet new requirements in a foreign market. In short, it looks like a win-win. However, you have just received some worrying information about this proposed joint venture. Apparently there have been some media reports of possible child labor and payment of substandard wages in some of Sochu's factories. Voting Question: would this be a good way to contact a guy if I essentially have no other way to do it?

my father, brother and I live in a mobile home park, and the man who lives in the one across from him said his father in law owns a car repair place. My dad took our one car to that place, and it turns out the owner's son works there with him. I only saw the owner's son for a minute when we were at the front desk, and he seemed to look at me and I looked at him but there was no particular acknowledgement and no exchange of words. But I was so attracted just by the way he looks that I honestly have not been able to stop thinking about him. I don't know if he is seeing anyone, but I would like to find out if he is available and would be interested in me. Although I am 23 I am not able to drive due to fees in this state which I can't afford at the time (I remain unemployed even though I have a college degree), and obviously I couldn't tell my dad to just take me to the car repair place just so I could potentially talk to the guy, which he wouldn't do (even though the place is just right up the street), and also why would I just go to the place with my dad and brother and say I'm just there to see the guy? So I have considered writing the guy a letter, especially since I happen to have a spare business envelope at the house. I was going to send the letter to the address of the car repair place and write "give this to [the guy]" on the envelope. But my question is, should I really even write a letter and send it to him like that? Or at the very least there any particular clever thing I could write in a letter that would make it more appropriate or less awkward if I did send it to him? Ok, so it's not really a blackmail. But since my pro has made fun of me in class laughing at my mother saying that she's poor, I thought I would visit him at his office and ask him about it, given that the grades are already posted and he doesn't teach me anymore. I started at my current job 7 1/2 months ago at what I consider I very LOW wage for my education level and ability. I was hired as an internally contracted employee for the rate of $12/hr for an advertising company. My job (a "campaign manager") involves delivering advertising campaigns for a portfolio of customers, managing large budgets, expense reports, web site design, etc. I have a bachelor's degree in business and this is my first post-college full time job. A large portion of my job is ad writing and SEO/SEM. A few things to consider, I did not receive benefits, PTO, holidays or any other perks during the first 7 1/2 months. I was recently informed that I would be hired full-time as a regular employee, now getting all benefits plus a raise to $13.95 per hour. Percentage-wise that is a large raise. However, they're basically bumping me up to what is considered the "starting" campaign manager salary. My issue is, I have already been a campaign manager (performing the same job as ALL other full-time CM's) for almost 8 months, doing the same things as everyone else, and they want to treat my position as though I have no experience. Also, my estimated contract length was 2-3 months, but they did not make this hire until 7+ months after my temporary employee start date. So a while ago, due to many complex events, I had my dad leave the country for good and he left his business behind. Right now, my dad's friend is taking care of the office during the afternoon, while I'm looking for someone to buy the office for good. Its a physical therapy office, and the patients can only be treated if they have medicare. In order for them to get approved for medicare, they have to get approval from the person who deals with the medicare in that area. I could really use some advice. My little sister is 18 years old (first semester in College) and is talking about having a baby with her boyfriend of nearly 3 years. They have NO business having a child. She claims she wants to wait until she is 20 or 21 but that is still too young if you ask me. I have seen letters from her boyfriend saying that he wants to get her pregnant now. Oh, and the reason they write letters to one another is because he is in rehab. He has been in and out of jail/rehab for almost 2 years. He has no plans on educating himself any further. Now that's an environment to bring a child into!! I'm a 16 yr old girl and I feel so alone. About a week ago, I got into a terrible fight with my father. It started off as a fight between my parents. He came up to me and told me that my mom lost her virginity at my age (16), and that she slept with many many men. We are a very christian family so we value not having sex until you are married. I whispered, "Where did you here that?" He made the face that you make you're lying and gave a vague answer: "It's everywhere. Everyone knows it!" I couldn't stand his lies for one more second. Just as a little background, I am twenty years old. I was going to college and moved back home because I couldn't afford to stay. I'm looking for a full time job to save money to go back. Meanwhile, while I am living at home I am sharing a room with one of my younger sisters. She's 16. She has a lot of anger toward my mom and my sisters and I. My mom is divorced, and I will admit that our life hasn't been the greatest while my mom has struggled to take care of us alone. But for me, I always thought we still had it pretty good. We had our church helping to pay our rent, great friends and family who we could turn to. I didn't think it was doom and gloom. I still don't. But Krystal always has. She stopped going to church, stopped going to school, started staying up all night and sleeping all day, spends more time with her friends than her family. To make a long story short...My mother got very sick after a long ride with my youngest brother.......and never recover from that....My brothers and other she cherished took advantage of her in her last days and made sure i had hardly no say in her life...I would say the ones she CHERISH had let her down and isolated her so that I had little contact with her to help her.....My oldest Brother I found out had made her sign out for a $40, 000 loan...and I just now found out that happened 12 years ago...so they really set her up....... Both Brothers are very disrespectful and nasty towards me for reasons I just don't know....I'm pretty and very outgoing and have lots of talents and they constaly try to fight me and belittle me for no reason...... I'm a single parent raising my son...very nicely....so I get this e-mail today from my oldest brother about why some women are not Married...how hurtful...... They always do things to hurt me... My oldest brohter is a typical looser...a former addict, alcoholic and women abuser....he beat his 1st wife ad now he is married again...he use to bring other women in his house while his 2nd wife was gone to work or on a business trip..... I don't have a nice family....some are on drugs, some are into physic voodoo crazy stuff and others are just not what I want around my son.... We live a clean life........ What do I do? Ok Hi...Only 3 more sleeps until Christmas. I know this is short notice and all but I am writing a story for my friends and family. It will be added as part of their presents. This is what I have so far: It is Christmas Anna “Holly,” I begin when I realise that she is awake. She is one year older than me, prettier and smarter than me too. Holly’s dresser is covered with little glass perfume bottles, her shelves stacked with CD’s, all in order of the year of release. My sister is enviously organised. She replies with a single mumble. By the time we get up, Mum has already left for work. She has laid warm pancakes out on the kitchen table, along with a ripped envelope and a carton of orange juice. Holly, being the eldest, reads the letter first then passes it to me and pulls out a chair from underneath the table. Before I read the note, I watch Holly as she rubs her eyes. I unfold the paper. My beautiful girls, Ironic, I guess. The airports and stations are all delayed but the post is working extremely well. I was with a woman for nearly 4 years. When we first met, she was away from her second husband, who was serving in Iraq at the time. She had told me that he had cheated on her and that she wasn't sure she was going to leave him. I of course immediately fell for her, she had a great personality and appeared to really be into me. Two months ago I was let go from my job because my boss was having financial difficulties and had to let the bottom of the totem pole go, which was me. I filed for unemployment thinking I would have no problem getting it since I was not fired for misconduct or something like that. Then I get a denial letter! The man denied me unemployment even though I did nothing wrong. He went with trying to blame it on me being late to work, and admitted to the UI office my time cards that had maybe 5 late times on them, no more than 10 minutes. But I know he didn't care about it, he never asked why I had been late because I was very rarely late. It was never an issue. Late last year everyone at my work signed a contract with him stating if we received 3 major infractions (for something such as a no call no show to work) or 6 minor infractions (some sort of minor insubordination) in a 6 month period we would be terminated. I have never received an infraction, ever. So I am thinking, what the heck? I didn't do anything wrong and he's denying me for no reason? I thought maybe he was just trying to be a jerk, and didn't want to have to put more in his UI account or something. I appealed the first time, then the phone hearing was this recent monday, he didn't call! I found out later that he had the day wrong and thought the hearing was tuesday. I'm thinking good! He didn't call, it's all my word now. I explain to the appeal officer my side of the case, saying everything I wrote here today. Then tuesday night my bf, who still works at the place I was fired from, said my boss wants to give me money to withdraw my claim. I tell my bf I don't want to work it out I want the unemployment I am rightfully owed. He said he doesn't like his offer either, and I express this is bribery and I am not sinking to my former boss's dirty level. Even later former boss calls my phone! Leaves me a voicemail saying "I'm not doing this unemployment thing, the implications are too great for me, I want to give you some money to help you out, but I won't let you have unemployment." My bf had the convo with him in person. Boss offered $1000 to have me stop my claim, he wanted me to call the UI office and tell them I retract my statements and drop it. No way!! That's not even 10% of what I should get from unemployment. His reason for denying me was that it will raise his rates for next year. My bf will testify to this. THEN when i went to change her diaper she had a horrible rash. it was about to blister. i know kids get rashes. my daughter has even had a few but NOTHING like that one. it was a horrible rash that took awhile to get rid of.She was 11 months old at the time that i had her and she seemed a little bit behind for her age. at first i just said to myself 'all kids are different and develope at different times' and didnt think much of it.. but she is a FAST learner. i don't see HOW in the world she can be so behind when she learns so quickly. i think her parents just never bother to try and teach her anything. then i know for a fact that crystal just plays video games [xboxlive] almost all day. crystal and her boyfriend Los have it way too way too easy cause they hardly even have to take care of they're kid. oh , and most the clothes that were givin for her baby to wear at my house were WAY to small. she's 11 month old , and most the clothes were for 3 months to 6 months. i don't know how in the world i got them on her. I have a 15 month old daughter , and i had to let her baby wear my daughter clothes because nothing she had was even warm. i gave some clothes to her for them to keep . but what pisses me off about that is that crystal always says that she doesn't have very much money and can't afford a bunch of babyclothes and stuff .. but then she had a LOT of nice clothes , an EXPENSIVE phone , gets her nails done , etc. but her own kid can't even have some warm clothes. my daughter comes first for everything ... i have a cheap phone that is messed up and sometimes rings when nobody is even calling me ,i have cheap clothes from burlington coat factory and tjmax... but atleast my daughter has cute warm clothes , nice toys , etc. shouldn't your kid come first even if its just for basic needs? THAT , pisses me the hell off. then the day that they were supposed to come and pick they're daughter up .. they didn't. crystal texted me saying she'll come get her tuesday because they were still in kentucky. then it dragged on and on and she didn't end up getting her till next friday. on thrusday i believe this was .. i told her , either you need to come get your could i have to bring her to dhr or something. i needed to take my ged in the morning and i only had a babysitter i trusted for my daughter .. not for her kid also. and i couldn't find one , i tried. so she said she was going to let this girl names shay watch her daughter. shay does drugs and partys all the time .... i would NEVER trust my kid OR anybody elses with that women. so i told her that i will just have to watch her and miss my ged test because i would never let a kid near that lady. she laughed and said 'ok .. but she only partys on weekends anyways'. when she came , with her boyfriend , her own daughter didn't even want her. she just wanted me and her daddy. she refused to go to her mother. and not in a silly cute way , she honestly did not want her mom nor do i think she wanted to leave. after they came and got they're kid .. at first i was going to let it go and just convinced myself it wasn't worth ruining our friendship to tell her she needed to be a better parent. me and her are both teenage parents. we both left school ,she left by choice , i left because i couldn't afford daycare. she is not trying to do anything with her life. shes not trying to even atleast get a ged. she plans on living on her mom for the rest of her life. she even said her moms going to buy some land and build two houses one for her and one for crystal and her boyfriend and they're baby.maybe that's not my business but wtf?! i'm about to join the army ... i'm TRYING to get my life together for my daughter. but she doesn't even care about her own life. i ended up sending her a long letter telling her how bad of a mom i think she is , and how bad her boyfriend is also to they're child. i told her everything i said in here plus more. then she writes me back saying its repulsive that i would called her a bad mom , etc.and that i have it wrong.. my question is .. was i right or wrong for this? OH YEAH AND she wrote backoh yeah and she wrote back to my message saying that when she got her daughter back from me her daughter was very 'ill'. she said that she had to take her daughter to the er and that she had thrush , two ear infections , and a lung infection. i know for a fact that she was lying because her daughter was PERFECTLY fine when she left my house. i ALWAYSe made sure she was warm and had a warm CLEAN bottle everytime she ate. she had a LITTLE tiny fever before she left and i INFORMED her mother about it but it wasn't a big deal and if she had kept her warm and out of the freezing air like she did anyways .. then she would have been fine. i think she was lying about all of it to try and make me look bad because she was mad about everything i had said. more

Resolved Question: Is sending a girl a love letter saying that you like her doesn't always work instead of going to talk to her ?

I was at work and the guy ask me do you like her and I say yes he saw me her business number and he want me to take it down also he want me to sing which am not good at he wants me to go do her and hold her hand and play a guitar singing I want to be your man so I see and ask her did the guy tell you something and she say no he keep asking me to sing to her so I told him i will do it my way I wrote a letter and putting in the newspaper I say that I know you like me and I say I want to take you out to a movies I want to take you out as a friend i handing her the note and I left so she look at it and she was raising hell she yell at the guy that told me to sing to her at my job. She don't want to hear that because she is married so I came the next day and they told me what happens my supervisor told him that I should leave her alone when they told me that she got angry and yell I got nervous I didn't want to hurt her feelings the guy the one told me that and he was joking he like to make jokes. So i saw her she didn't say anything to me sense that incident I just waiting for her to say the first word and I really want to apologize to her. more
