Resolved Question: Does any one know an Indian substitue for homestead.com?

I have been trying to set up an online store - in India, a build your own site with ecommerce features and billing (paypal / etc ) that can be done in INR. The great ones i have come across are yahoo small business, godaddy.com and homestead.com, but all of them offer in USD / UKP. I need a solution in INR. I was very disappointed to see that yahoo small business (indian version) just has websites and not really an ecommerce angle to it. I cannot afford to pay a web development agency. Appreciate your advice. more

The billionaire Alliance Boots boss who helped take the high street giant private for £11.1bn will not take any cash out of the business for two years, it emerged today.

Executive chairman Stefano Pessina landed the company with private equity firm Kohlberg Kravis Roberts last July, but neither will take dividend payments this year or next as they seek to grow the business.

Mr Pessina made £1.67bn on his 16% stake in Alliance Boots and then pumped £1.27bn back into the business following the completion of the deal, which saw the first FTSE 100 Index firm fall into private equity hands.

``KKR are not in a hurry, they know this business will grow for many years," Mr Pessina - now executive chairman - told the Financial Times.

He said the new owners would be investing close to £1bn in the company, adding: ``Over the next three years we have a very intense plan and it is not to extract cash."

Shoe retailer Stylo today said annual losses leapt 75% last year and warned trading would remain under pressure from soaring costs and a squeeze on shoppers. more

Johnson Controls to build plant in Georgia

Johnson Controls Inc. plans to build a 130,000-square-foot facility on 20 acres at the Northwest Harris Business Park in Harris County, Ga.

Glendale-based Johnson Controls (NYSE: JCI) will use the new plant to make complete seat systems and door panels for Kia Motors Manufacturing Georgia. The plant, which will create 310 jobs, is expected to be finished in the first quarter of 2009.

"With the addition of 310 jobs from Johnson Controls, Kia suppliers are creating 2,600 jobs in West Georgia alone, not to mention the 2,500 jobs Kia plans to create," said Georgia Gov. Sonny Perdue. "Kia's investment continues to bring good jobs to Georgia."

Aker Solutions acquires fabrication business

Aker Solutions has acquired a fabrication business in the north-east of Scotland in a strategic move to augment its services to local clients.

The purchase of Portlethen-based PSV Solutions will enable Aker Solutions to provide a modern fabrication facility in support of local projects, for which there is a growing demand. The business will become part of Aker Solutions' Aberdeen-based operations.

ACS signs $156M Tennessee Medicaid deal

Dallas-based ACS (NYSE: ACS) said the five-year deal is with the Tennessee Bureau of TennCare for the TennCare Management Information System, used by the state for the management of its Medicaid program.

ACS will assume daily operations, data management and ongoing systems modifications for the TCMIS.

ACS also will evaluate TennCare's current business processes and work with the bureau to recommend improvements, including the development of an enterprise project management office that will help TennCare measure, monitor and manage technology projects.

ACS is partnering with Zycron, a Nashville, Tenn.-based information technology staffing and outsourcing company.
