Resolved Question: can you find any mistakes in this translation?

this is a translation from italian to english. can you tell me if there are any mistakes, please? (Sorry if it is long) 4- Institute computerized joint training courses, putting to use in project the knowledge and the means to develop them, making the most of the mutual excellences of people operating in the same professional field. 5- Nowadays the English is used like an International communication language, forcing people from different country to speak a language not their own, creating discomforts, practical mistakes and troubles of understanding and speaking. So, we propose to create cultural exchanges directly from language to language, avoiding the obstacle – otherwise required – to speak a third language. So, everybody can speak and listen to in his mother language. 6- Facilitate the search of a qualified translator both the institutions and privates, creating a network of professionalism based on our acquaintances and experts operating in the specialized translation field. The above-mentioned goals become doable through some proposes about the organizational, management and strategic activities of our company. The propose, that we expect to complete within a very short time, can be summarized as follows: 1- Development and strengthening of the website: we think that a valid support on the web, accessible to all, enabling the data storage and the intuitive search of video lessons and training aid, can be a decisive step forward for our project. The service, that the students who are not part of the association will access only on payment, will be available in different languages, depending on the members and relationships. All this is aimed not only to financial gain, but also to an increase in the prestige of the institutions involved. 2- Creation of a database: thus the users can register autonomously, and insert their curriculum vitae, which will be translated into several languages and will be organized systematically by sector and area of responsibility. Creazione di un database: in questo modo gli utenti potranno registrarsi autonomamente, ed inserire i loro curricula vitae, che saranno tradotti in più lingue e verranno organizzati sistematicamente per settore e ambito di competenza. The database can be accessed easily by businesses looking for staff in order to encourage the exchange and the mobility of International professionals. In this way companies may have provided the most competent people to perform a particular activity, setting the search according their most functional criterions. 3- Huge possibilities for the use of associated: we can handle a very large number of translations (the language groups are: (Albanian, Arabic, Bulgarian, Chinese, Czech, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Hungarian, Japanese, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Serbo-Croatian, Slovak, Spanish, Ukrainian, on the rise) on many areas in which we are competent, such as: - telecommunication - tourism - hospitality industry - food - fashion - automotive industry - field of art and literature As a matter of fact people who already have work experience in these areas are part of our association – split into language groups led by native speakers – and who have accumulated a considerable background of knowledge in the field mentioned above. One of the beliefs of our association is the necessity and the opportunity to think big, opportunity – how our work will demonstrate – don’t have to be denied to anyone, especially when, behind a project, big dreams and estimated life are hidden. The peculiarity of GRADg is that, unlike other associations of mediators with similar purposes, it doesn’t work only “from” and “to” the country of origin, but it intends to put in touch different countries, sometimes with little connection between them. more

Resolved Question: If a conglomerate of suppliers produce subsystems which are to be "integrated", would "Saas integration" do?

the job ? <<Saas Integration or Software as a Service Integration is computer software that is offered through a remote hosted deployment model that allows for the integration of information between systems. Terminology Saas Integration is computer software that connects software components delivered through software as a service (Saas) or hosted models to other applications. These applications can be themselves Saas applications or follow the typical deployment pattern behind a firewall. The software consists of a set of enabling services that allow multiple processes running on one or more machines to interact across the Internet and other networks. This technology evolved to provide for interoperability in support of the move to distribute functionality between managed and distributed architectures, which are used most often to support and simplify complex, distributed applications. It includes web servers, application servers, and similar tools that support application development and delivery. A concept refers to the ability of an organization to precisely define, easily integrate and effectively retrieve data for both internal applications and external communication. A business objective is focused on the creation of accurate, consistent and transparent information flows. Saas integration emphasizes flexibility, agility and responsiveness. It is concerned with how the capability is integrated into business applications as well as how it is passed along from one business process to another. Definition The Saas integration model and methods can be extended to include the integration of anything connected to the Internet - desktops, servers or data services. It is an extension of information integration beyond the traditional notion of firewall to include data, information and services that exist independently of one another, and can be regarded as either a capability or a method. Saas integration is where integration and information standards[1] are able to interact to enable the exchange of information across many types of systems. It is highly dependent upon architectural patterns such as Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)[2] methods such as web services and standards such as XML. Saas integration is not distributed computing or grid computing software where a program is broken into multiple parts and distributed across a network for processing. A key difference between Saas integration software and traditional integration is that it has the ability to express the integration points as services rather than end point destinations for data. Saas integration can be explained as either hosted middleware as a service or the ability to integrate Saas applications. Views of Saas integration There are two complimentary views of Saas integration. First is the capability of offering integration through a hosted outside of the firewall method which require process integration. This is the 'function of integration' itself which is expressed as middleware or information integration through a hosted model. The second is the process of integrating Saas capabilities into other applications. Saas Integration is not dependent on a specific technology strategy or related to an explicit definition. It arose to address circumstances where users within organizations and industries independently source, model, manage and access data. Purpose of Saas Integration Saas integration can be used for a number of purposes and scenarios, following are examples: To increase the flexibility in how an organization or a system can access or provide to different pieces of information To bridge disparate pieces of a process together To make available to an organization a Saas or hosted application through a common set of data interfaces. To reduce integration complexity and expense System Design Saas integration is closely related to the mathematical principals described in Complexity or Chaos Theory in that the more participants involved in the integration the further away from absolute control a system is under. The participants are then left to influence one another which are governed by information exchange standards and principles. Architecturally the principles can be based on patterns of Service Oriented Architecture - SOA and business management is based on a series of service level agreements either real or implied all of which are managed under a common governance framework. The management of Saas integration is enabled through orchestration of data and information flows within the system environment. This function typically takes place within the core systems behind a firewall. Complexity Increases with Saas Software Deployments One effect of Software as a Service is that it spawns a number of independent components and functionality that requires integration into other data flows. A simplistic design pattern is to create a point to point integration between sy more

Voting Question: Feedback on my essay !!! Much Appreciated.?

As human society continues to ascend further into the information age, there can be no more accurate statement than the popular maxim ‘knowledge is power’. In twenty-first century society, necessary and sought after information is often, if not always, available at the touch of a button. Civilization has shifted from times where knowledge, information, and communication with the external world had to be fully pursued and looked for in what the average modern man would consider unconventional and time consuming procedures and methods. Due to the fact that information was not easily obtainable, knowledge and general information was usually held by the ruling class and those people who were categorized as having higher socio-economic standing. The modern era however has been characterized by a massive explosion of easily accessible information and data in convenient places and institutions such as libraries, educational institutions, and eventually to the common home via electronically transmitted and networked data. This shift from institutionalized to household access has further evolved to hand held, portable mobile access for the average person. One of these common devices is none other than the Blackberry smart phone. The blackberry is a modern day mobile telephone intertwined with all the features of a house hold computer. The functions of a Blackberry smart phone range from voice communication, electronic mail, word processing and popular document viewing, to global positioning system and even geographical data provider. Furthermore, it also includes instant messaging, multimedia playback, and photographic functionality. It is a rather small, light weight apparatus which fits comfortably into any jacket or pocket for maximum portability. Due to its multifunctional capabilities, the Blackberry smart phone has now become a social norm, a cultural object, and one of the most desired material and technological objects of our time. Just by taking a cursory glance at the Blackberry’s official slogan “Connect to everything you love in life,” it is easy to see how it appeals to almost anybody by implying that an individual will be able to obtain information on anything of importance or interest to them. The Blackberry smart phone is sold through almost every major telecommunication company in Canada, and around the globe. Over the past few years, many of these companies have made this once extremely expensive commodity a now relatively financeable product. There are a vast amount of different types of people and corporations that benefit from the Blackberry smart phone. Of course there is the obvious set of people who profit from the technological advances of the Blackberry smart phone such as the company itself, the consumer, and the major network provider that sells this product. In addition, there is a rather significant external group who benefits from these phones such as marketing firms, and associative corporations. It is also worth mentioning the increase or boost in e-commerce that the Blackberry provides whether it is personal, or business related. As the Blackberry smart phone becomes a social norm and standard in our society and the telecommunication market, anything below or inferior to the Blackberry’s capabilities and services is considered sub-par and incompetent. Therefore, those lacking a Blackberry are considered to be at a disadvantage both functionally and socially as it solidifies its position as a culture icon and trend. A key aspect of understanding the Blackberry’s design can be best described through the notion of simplicity. Marketers strive to make the Blackberry, such a technologically advanced and highly intricate piece of machinery, as simplistic as possible so that it will appeal to a larger target audience. In this way, the Blackberry is not only limited or restricted to members of society which can be classified or labelled as being “technologically savvy.” Several main design features for maintaining simplicity and ease of use can be found in the form of scroll wheels, touch screens, and context menus for already divided and stratified aspects of the menu. The Blackberry has affected me personally by instilling a feeling of inadequacy as compared to my peers and the general populace who continues to indulge and consume more and more into the smart phone market. As a student, I am personally unable to have the funds for a Blackberry data plan which allows me to access and utilize it to its full capabilities and potential beyond simple voice communication which any other less expensive cellular device can provide. Within the general context of modern social life, the Blackberry simply and effectively allows for much deeper and intricate levels of networking and communication amongst the general populace. Communicational time barriers are virtually removed as the Blackberry allows for more real-time communication and data exchang more

Resolved Question: What does the following article mean ?

Tech giants in human rights deal By Maggie Shiels Technology reporter, BBC News, Silicon Valley People using the internet in Beijing Google was accused of censoring 2% of search results in China Microsoft, Google and Yahoo have signed a global code of conduct promising to offer better protection for online free speech and against official intrusion. The Global Network Initiative follows criticism that companies were assisting governments in countries like China to censor the Internet. The guidelines seek to limit what data should be shared with authorities, in cases where free speech is an issue. "This is an important first step," said Mike Posner of Human Rights First. He told the BBC "What this is is a recognition by all these tech companies, the human rights groups and social investors that there has to be a collective response to this growing problem. "Companies need to step up to the plate and be more aggressive in challenging unwarranted government interference," he said. The initiative states that privacy is "a human right and guarantor of human dignity," and the agreement commits the companies to try to resist overly broad demands for restrictions on freedom of speech and the privacy of users. They will also assess the human rights climate in a country before concluding business deals and make sure their employees and partners follow suit. "These principles are not going to be a silver bullet, but the most important point for me is to provide transparency," said Danny O'Brien of the Electronic Frontier Foundation. "We have joined this initiative because we know that a wide range of groups working together can achieve much more than the company acting alone," said Andrew McLaughlin, Google's director of global public policy. 'Valuable roadmap' The impetus for such an agreement follows years of criticism that a number of businesses, including Google, Yahoo and Microsoft have complicity built what has been dubbed the "Great Firewall of China". Screen grab of Skype website Skype say they are abiding by Chinese laws over internet use Google has been accused of complying with Chinese government demands to filter internet searches to eliminate query results regarding topics such as democracy or Tiananmen Square. Microsoft has come under attack for blocking the blog of a prominent Chinese Media researcher who posted articles critical of a management purge at the Beijing News Daily. Canadian researchers uncovered that a Skype joint venture in China monitored users' communications. And a Chinese reporter Shi Tao was jailed for 10 years after Yahoo China provided his personal information to the Chinese government. Today Yahoo co-founder and CEO Jerry Yang welcomed the new code of conduct. "These principles provide a valuable roadmap for companies like Yahoo operating in markets where freedom of expression and privacy are unfairly restricted. Shi Tao, file picture Shi Tao's jailing sparked a controversy of Yahoo business practices in China "Yahoo was founded on the belief that promoting access to information can enrich people's lives and the principles we unveiled today reflect our determination that our actions match our values around the world," said Mr Yang. While China has been painted as the worst abuser, Colin Maclay of the Berkman Centre for Internet and Society at Harvard University said there are other countries and governments all over the world at fault. "The number of states actively seeking to censor online content and access personal information is growing. "And the means employed - technical, social, legal, political - are increasingly sophisticated, often placing internet and telecommunications companies in difficult positions." 'Business case' The Global Network Initiative was drawn up by the internet companies along with human rights groups, academics and investors. Adam Kanzer who is the managing director and general counsel at Domini Social Investments said as well as being the right thing to do, it also makes good business sense. He told BBC News "When you see the industry being caught up in the tactics of various regimes around the world, the business case is very clear. Freedom of expression and privacy is core to their business. "They depend on a wide open, freely accessible and secure internet. That's what they are about. If people don't trust the internet and believe they are secure, then that is counterproductive to their business." Computer keyboard, Eyewire The plan has yet to receive the support of internet companies in China The effort is already being seen by some as not going far enough. "After two years of effort, they have ended up with so little," said Morton Sklar executive director for the World Organisation for Human Rights USA. "It is very little more than a broad statement of support for a general principle without any concrete backup mechanism to ensure that the more

Resolved Question: this is a computer concept question. What is the main idea of this article?

"Technology Bytes" ➢ A farmer in the mid-1800s worked from sunup to sundown and produced only enough food to feed about four people. One farmer today produces food for 101 people. ➢ Thanks to advances in public health technology, human life expectancy has increased from 47 years in 1900 to 75 years today. ➢ Integrated circuits contain thousands of electronic parts collected on a thin chip of silicon so small it could pass through the eye of a needle. ➢ United States companies, which exchange data electronically, rose from almost none in 1987 to 45,000 in 1993. ➢ In 1991, American companies for the first time spent more on computers and communications equipment than they did on industrial, mining, farming, and construction materials. ➢ While computers and other electronic gadgets are getting smaller, the amount of information that can be accessed through them keeps growing. ➢ Fiber optics is preferred over traditional copper wiring because light (which carries information) travels farther and faster without losing its clarity. The fibers, which are no thicker than a human hair, carry more information than telephone wires. ➢ The Internet was started in 1969, during the Cold War, so the Defense Department’s Advanced Research Projects Agency could share computer resources. This electronic roadway consists of more than 10,000 networks, linking universities, libraries, science foundations, government, and businesses. It is estimated that 15 million to 30 million people now use the Internet.  more

Resolved Question: HELP PLEASE- What will happen to my laptop/Outlook, when ex-employer cuts my network access?

have recently parted ways from the mortgage company I worked at, but still have access to my companies network, (Citrix/Encompass), and used the mail address they assigned for the past 2 yrs. but it is my own Outlook Program not theirs) that my email comes into. I have a lot of saved email, contacts, and get regular newsletters and communications from our lenders and need to know how this will be effected. (I've started a new business but have been afraid to use my own Oulook and have reverted to using yahoo email due to fear of data/email loss.) I would like to go back to using it but what can I expect to happen and what steps should I take to prepare for it?Maybe this helps...To access company programs, their outlook, etc, I click an icon on my desktop, this opens a new desktop where I can open their outlook program, explorer, etc...I did it to check (opened the outlook from their desktop) and probably shouldn't have, since I never use it, and a ton of email started pouring in, and some old stuff out, so I closed it quickly....^j^ I tried to follow your instructions but under my Local Disk C, I don't see an Outlook, if thats what you were saying (didn't quite follow your wording under #1) The same email address is set up under their desktop, as mine. When I learned that all email and contacts would become their property, I bought my own Outlook and set it up on my computer and used that instead. ^j^ , I did not see the mapped drive for their server like you explained but isn't the icon and link to their desktop the same thing you are describing? How can I tell whose server these email are being stored on? (thanks Mike d, but I'm ok)One more thing...I do have a yahoo address as well....should I email myself anthing that I want to make sure doesn't get lost. That would work to wouldn't it? I just need to know that my new business stuff will not be effected if I start using my outlook but haven't set that email address up to go to outlook yet (should I?) more

In Your Paper: In your Final Project Paper use the information presented below to develop and describe a data communications and computer networking plan to meet these criteria: 1.The three local area networks in building A are to be interconnected. 2.The networks in buildings A & B, which are close together, are to be interconnected. 3.The new building, building C, is to be inter-networked with the other locations using its existing technology infrastructure wherever possible, though some changes may be made if absolutely required for smooth integration. 4.Employees in all locations are to have access to the Internet through dedicated T-1 lines to a single ISP. 5.Telephone service for the three buildings is to function as a single system so that any phone in any building may reach any other phone using only the extension. 6.All employees are to have voice mail. 7.All employees are to have e-mail through the exchange server in building A including the remote workers. 8.In writing your paper describe the choices you would make in terms of the type of network, the connecting medium, the data communication model being followed. 9.Explain why your choices reflect today's best practices in data and voice communication. Be specific in your reasons, including the characteristics of each choice and explaining why they are appropriate for each task. 10.Diagram the data flow for each task using the drawing tools in Microsoft Word. more

Resolved Question: HP DV6105US laptop upgrade.?

Hi, does anyone know what to do about upgrading my DV6105US HP Pavillion Laptop, for video editing? Here is some info on the laptop: The Basics * Hard Drive: The 80 GB hard drive (5400 RPM) is becoming average in size for notebook PCs, and it's roomy enough to store business productivity applications, all your important documents and presentations, and a good-sized digital audio and video library. This SATA hard drive also quickens the pace with a higher speed transfer of data--akin to FireWire and USB 2.0. * Processor: Combining strong performance with efficient usage of power, the 2.0 GHz AMD Turion 64 MK-36 is uniquely optimized to power today's thinnest notebooks. It's also built for tomorrow's 64-bit applications, which will require a processor with significant power. It includes such AMD technology features as HyperTransport (which increases the communication between integrated circuits), PowerNow! (which enables longer battery life and reduced heat generation), and Enhanced Virus Protection (which works with Windows XP Service Pack 2 to better withstand attacks from certain classes of viruses). It also features a 512 KB L2 cache and up to 1600 MHz front-side bus (FSB). (An L2, or secondary, cache temporarily stores data; and a larger L2 cache can help speed up your system's performance. The FSB carries data between the CPU and RAM, and a faster front-side bus will deliver better overall performance.) * Memory: The 512 MB of installed RAM is enough to get you started, but you'll want to add more RAM to handle today's demanding multimedia and productivity suites. It has a 2 GB maximum RAM capacity. * CD/DVD Drive: Offering the latest in DVD writing technology, the multiformat DVD/CD drive is compatible with writing both DVD+ and DVD- disc formats as well as dual-layer (DL) DVD+/-R discs, which can store up to 8.5 GB of data. It features 4x DVD-R DL Write Once, 2.4x DVD+R DL Write Once, 8x DVD+R, 4x DVD+RW, 8x DVD-R, 4x DVD-RW, 16x DVD-ROM, 40x CD-R, 24x CD-RW, and 40x CD-ROM speeds. This LightScribe DVD+/-RW drive lets you laser-etch silkscreen quality text and images on to CDs and DVDs . Your software, PC and discs work together for a no-hassle way to burn just the labels you want. After you burn content, just flip the disc over, reinsert and burn your label--anything from a simple title to a full-disc work of art. * Keyboard & Mouse: This notebook has a 101-key keyboard and a touchpad with on/off button and dedicated vertical/horizontal Scroll Up/Down pad. It also includes two quick-launch buttons (HP QuickPlay Music and DVD). Screen, Graphics and Sound You'll enjoy razor-sharp graphics and widescreen movies with the 15.4-inch WXGA high-definition screen, which displays an 18 percent larger picture than standard 15-inch screens and offers up to an 18 percent improvement in contrast ratio. It has a widescreen resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels--perfect for watching DVD movies the way they were meant to be seen. Video is powered by an integrated Nvidia GeForce 6150 graphics/video card with up to 128 MB of shared video memory. It features NVidia's PureVideo technology--which provides great picture clarity, smooth video, accurate color, and precise image scaling for video content--and full support for Microsoft DirectX 9.0 for stunningly realistic cinematic effects for all DirectX-compatible applications. It also offers an integrated audio card and built-in Altec Lansing speakers. Connectivity and Expansion Slots This notebook has an integrated 54g wireless LAN that's fully compatible with 802.11b/g wireless networks. Be ready for the next generation of faster, lighter security, storage, wireless, and networking PC Card expansion products with the ExpressCard/54 slot. You get a basic offering of connectivity options, which does not include FireWire: * 2 USB 2.0 ports for connecting a wide range of peripherals--from digital cameras to MP3 players * 1 VGA monitor port * 1 S-Video port for connecting to a TV * 1 ExpressCard 54/34 * 1 headphone jack and 1 microphone jack * 1 notebook expansion port more

Resolved Question: For those of you who are not sure which job works for you, here are some of US highest paying jobs!!!?

I hope this helps you to decide your future job!!! Feel free to write any comments and jobs (your current job) that pays well. Highest-Paying Jobs in the US Do what you love and the money will follow is great in theory, but the truth of the matter is, certain jobs and fields simply pay more. The Bureau of Labor Statistics National Compensation Survey showed, for example, that white-collar earnings, which averaged $21.85 per hour, were the highest among occupational groups. Blue-collar pay averaged $15.03 per hour, while the hourly pay of service occupations averaged just $10.40. The jobs that pay the most require at least a four-year college degree. According to the most recent data from the Employment Policy Foundation, the nation’s 12 top-paying jobs -- and the mean annual income reported in 2003 for each -- were: Top Paying Jobs Overall • Physicians and surgeons -- $147,000 • Aircraft pilots -- $133,500 • Chief executives -- $116,000 • Electrical and electronic engineers -- $112,000 • Lawyers and judges -- $99,800 • Dentists -- $90,000 • Pharmacists -- $85,500 • Management analysts -- $84,700 • Computer and information system managers -- $83,000 • Financial analysts, managers and advisors -- $84,000 • Marketing and sales managers -- $80,000 • Education administrators -- $80,000 Though many of these occupations require an advanced degree, there are jobs at every education level that pay more than other jobs for workers with similar levels of schooling. Here, courtesy of the Employment Policy Foundation, is a look at the best-paying occupations at varying education levels: Top Paying Jobs That Do Not Require a High School Degree These jobs tend to require substantial on-the-job training and work experience rather than formal education and schooling: • Industrial production managers -- $36,000 • Bailiffs, correctional officers and jailers -- $36,400 • Drafters -- $36,000 • Construction manager -- $33,600 • Electricians -- $31,900 Top Paying Jobs for High School Graduates These occupations emphasize work experience and on-the-job training rather than formal education: • Computer software engineers -- $58,900 • Computer/information systems managers -- $56,400 • Computer programmers -- $55,000 • Network systems and data communications analysts -- $49,000 • General and operations managers -- $48,000 • Database, network and computer systems administrators -- $48,000 Top Paying Jobs for a Two-Year College Degree The following jobs tend to be technical in nature, emphasizing skills developed on the job as well as job-specific training and certifications: • Healthcare practitioners -- $66,000 • Business analysts -- $58,000 • Electrical and electronic engineers -- $57,000 • Mechanical engineers -- $56,800 • General and operations managers -- $54,000 • Computer and information systems managers -- $50,400 "A look at expected earnings over a lifetime shows the economic benefit of higher education attainment," says Tony Carnevale, who chaired President Clinton’s National Commission for Employment Policy and authored several books, including "America and the New Economy: How New Competitive Standards are Radically Changing American Workplaces." A person with a doctoral or professional degree, for example, is expected to earn about $3 million over the course of his or her working life while a person without a high school diploma is expected to earn less than $1 million. "Despite an increasing supply of well-educated workers, the college wage premium has nearly doubled since 1980, largely because of the added value of a college education in the new knowledge economy," adds Carnevale. The Employment Policy Forum concurs, but stresses that these numbers are only averages. Individual earnings depend on many factors inducing geographic location, employer size (average hourly earnings ranged from $15.06 in organizations employing between 1 and 99 workers to $24.09 in those with 2,500 workers or more), industry (workers in goods-producing industries earned $18.46 an hour vs. those in service-producing industries who earned $16.44 an hour) and the worker’s skills and characteristics. more
