7 Highly Rated Stocks on Sale
Mr. Market. Mr. Market's game is to pay you house calls on a daily basis to offer to sell you interests in businesses he owns or to buy from you interests in businesses you own. Sometimes Mr. Market will show up at your door very excited and offer you premium prices for your holdings, while at other times he'll be inconsolably depressed about the future and will offer to sell you what he has for as low as pennies on the dollar.
So to find some of the stocks that Mr. Market is depressed about, I've turned once again to The Motley Fool's CAPS investor community. Each of the companies below had been given a five-star rating (the highest) by our community of investors just 30 days ago:

ONGC moves to acquire oil company active in Russia
NEW YORK : Indian public sector petroleum company Oil and Natural Gas Corp (ONGC) has made an approach to acquire Imperial Energy Corp, a London-listed company focussed on Russia, Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reported on Tuesday quoting people familiar with the matter.
Imperial Energy said in London Monday that it has been approached by an unnamed party. Its shares rose 18 per cent to $18.10 after the announcement.
ONGC, a Fortune 500 company, has said it is looking to expand its overseas operations, especially into Russia and other eastern European countries. But its spokesman declined to confirm or deny that the company approached Imperial, WSJ said.
The financial daily quoted an analyst at UniCredit investment bank, Artyom Konchin, saying that Imperial stock was valued quite cheap and was expected to be sold at a premium. more

Resolved Question: Can Koreans use Paypal orWorld Pay?
I'm planning on starting an e-commerce business, however, I noticed that the Korean won is not one of the currencies that Paypal or WorldPay use. So I'm born and raised in NY, loved it here growing up and I still enjoy all it has to offer but I need a change... and I only realized this once I no longer had to work 50+ hrs/week. A little about myself: - single male in my mid 20's - self employed for the past 5 years - e-commerce has been my main business for the past 3 years - typical work load is 20 hours / week - net $2k/week on average So now I have a relatively good income (in comparison to my lifestyle), and tons of free time but I'm started to get bored. I go on lots of vacations and enjoy all of them but I'm looking for a full time place to live that fits well with my lifestyle. I'm looking to relocate somewhere in the US with the following qualities: - younger single population - on the beach (a lake and lots of parks would work too) - no snow - close to golf courses - good nightlife - near a major airport - like minded people - lots of cafes / wifi hotspots to work from Does anyone have any suggestions? Any and all help is greatly appreciated! moreResolved Question: How can the economy ever recover with the automation of jobs?
Well, the way I got it figured, thanks to people like Bernie Madoff and the rest, our economy tanked. But now the problem is not only do we have a larger national debt, we have millions of Americans unemployed, to which I blame specifically on the automation of jobs. Think about it, what happened to the old auction houses they used to have (E-Bay replaced them), what happened to Circuit City and Comp USA (Both bought out by Tiger-direct), what is now happening to Blockbuster Video (Thanks to things such as Net-flix, Game-fly, etc.)? While online commerce might seem like the technologically thing to do at the moment, we are killing our economy that much faster by relying on them as much as we do. I ain't saying you need to go out and support the local mom & pop stores, as I am a firm believer in the fact that the majority of corporations started out as small business, excelled at what they did, and expanded. They in turn took profits from the mom & pop stores, but employed millions of Americans (An acceptable loss). Everyday we get closer and closer to the complete automation of a majority of jobs, and then people expect Obama to create jobs like they were brownies...you just can't go creating jobs, as if what we are looking to do is to employ people with trivial/unnessesary jobs, we might as well allow the entire US population to apply for food stamps with cash assistance... Most of the jobs that get automated are the lower end jobs, such as customer service jobs getting outsourced to some warehouse company, who only employs a skeleton crew to maintain deliveries, and wind up only making a select few rich, while the rest remain unemployed. I am currently 29, but as soon as I turn 35 I am running for presidency, as the only way to allow the economy to improve is to have people start spending again, which means jobs are needed, which then means we need to limit online commerce as a whole. I am not saying do away with it all together, but allowing it to expand at the rate it is, it is only a matter of time before we put vending machines out of business...I meant to mention, sooner or later the USPS will go under, as email has already paved the way for communication through writing, so all we really need them for is to ship cargo, which would mean much less money back to the federal government. I ain't a fan of our government, but I understand the need to support them by paying taxes, being a productive member of society, etc. If we don't put back in the system, our officers, firefighters, and medical technicians don't get paid, which means layoffs. Now ask yourself, do you really want an automated message telling you to hold for the next available emergency operator?I also meant to mention, I live a pretty comfortable lifestyle, and while I am not rich, I do well. And with what I got, I have had an idea that would honestly probably make me millions if it was to come to fruition, but the honest truth is my idea automates practically an entire industry, and with it would come massive job loss. While the fat cats might love to hear my idea, I would never cash in on it only due to the fact that I would be personally to blame for helping our economy fail that much more. moreVoting Question: Where can I hire a team of customer service reps for my new business?
I am looking to start an e-commerce website in the next year or so. I will need to hire a team of customer service reps to handle the customers questions and concerns, does anyone know of a company that provides customer service reps for businesses like mine? moreVoting Question: What should I do, I'm no longer interested in my college studies?
I am in a two year business school, going for computer science and programming. I'm in my third term, but I no longer want to be a programmer. I am more into having my own business creating crafts, writing a book, and do some art work. I wouldn't mind just learning computer science and programming, but it just seems like a waste of money now. Should I quit now while its not as costly, or just finish it up and suck it up get a job in programming pay it off then go and do something else. The stress of the school is unbearable though and I am being very controlled by my parents who give me the rights to use their vehicular. I also have to put up with my selfish cousin giving me rides every other day, and give her a ride one day of the week. I would much rather do an online college, but if I were to transfer I'd want to do something with art, but I don't see me making a lot of money doing art. If I do an online school though I can move out with my boyfriend and not get as stressed out being at home all the time. I was stuck home for about 16 years (homeschooling) and now it feels like a jail. Also I am paying for my education whether I transfer or stay. Currently have no money but my boyfriend and I are about to open an e-commerce store for my handmade crocheting and other crafts. Advice? Should I stay In school? Should I transfer to an online school for programming? Should I transfer to an online school for art? Should I just drop out and start my own business?I really don't even want to study no more.. I have a 4.0 gpa. I may still be interested in programming but I maybe convincing myself other wise cause of my parent/cousin situation. It is really very stressful, I don't mind the school. I mind being controlled having no freedom to choose what I want to do. I just jumped into college without even thinking twice. I am only 17, I'll graduate at 19. moreResolved Question: to get a EIN number to start selling online what is best to start a ecommerce businees...LLC or Scorp?

I'm a web designer/developer for a small marketing firm run by a husband and wife. I've been here for almost 2 and a half years and the stress is starting to show in my work due to the large workload, my quality is suffering and I keep making little mistakes. I work an average of 9-10 hours per day (on salary, so I am forced to work longer hours with no overtime pay). My boss and I are constantly arguing over what to send the client because they have very specific demands, which aren't always for the best of marketing for them (ie. their ideas suck, and I have to do it regardless so they don't complain, but then the campaign doesn't return a lot of interested buyers so the clients b*tch at us for not doing a good job). I make $28k per year, I create e-commerce sites, email newsletters, SEO updates, general web updates, print ads, and anything else we need to market the client electronically or in print. Statistically speaking, I should/could be making between $38k-55k for my experience and education. I know that I bring in at least $18,000 per month for my boss (who owns a $300,000 house). If I went freelance, it would be hard finding the clients but the potential for making more money is greater. It's ironic, because he actually had quit his old job to start an independent business for the same reason. Should I just suck it up and keep this job, or should I give up that security blanket and try something while I'm young? (I'm 25 years old). He claims that if I stick with it, he'll eventually give me the business when he retires... but I don't think I want it. I can't handle so many clients at once like he does... If I were freelance, if I could bring on 1-2 clients at $1500-3000 per month, I'd have a third of the headache for just as much money. Right now I'm juggling about 4-5 clients, as well as training a new girl they just hired. Other factors to include: - Having an office job for over two years, I've gained about 40 pounds. If I quit, I would have more time to focus on my health rather than working long hours and not having time to spend improving myself. - I have a girlfriend 2.5 hours away that would just love it if I'd quit my job and find something closer to her. - I currently live with my parents. I'm paying $100 a month to help dad out, so I'm saving about $500 a month in rent by staying with them... which I would give up if I quit and moved away. moreResolved Question: finding and investor without paying a contact fee?
I started a fashion label, everything is ready to go, got my samples, marketing catalogs, business plans, contacts in fashion retail, website and e commerce. But i need an investor so i can manufacture the minimum amount of garments so i can actually sell them. Anyone know how to get in touch with possible investors without having to pay to actually get the investors details from websites? moreVoting Question: e-commerce website, anyone with any knowledge?

Why is the first think activists say is ICE audit is tearing families part. Didn't activists also say better illegal immigration be left up to the feds and when the feds do it,the activists start in on audits are tearing families part and the feds must not enforce immigration matters ? EL PASO -- At least 41 businesses in El Paso will be part of a national audit of 1,000 businesses by federal officials looking for immigration violations in hiring workers. The audit will be among the biggest in El Paso by Immigration and Customs Enforcement, a move that drew immediate criticism from a local immigrant-rights group. The local businesses chosen for audits were not named, but the agency said on its Web site that all the businesses selected for inspection were the "result of investigative leads and intelligence É and connection to public safety and national security." The Border Network for Human Rights, based in El Paso, opposed the audits. "We are saddened and disappointed that two years after the disastrous 2007 immigration raids that tore apart families and penalized American businesses, the federal government is once again adopting a shortsighted enforcement-only approach to immigration policy," the group said in a prepared statement. The group also said the federal government should concentrate its efforts on fighting crimes along the border such as drug trafficking and gang activity instead of "harassing hardworking families and business owners." Of the 1,000 businesses nationwide, 161 are in Texas. In addition to the ones in El Paso, there are about 60 in the San Antonio area and 40 in the Houston area. When the audits will take place and how they will be conducted has not been announced. "ICE is focused on finding and penalizing employers who believe they can unfairly get ahead by cultivating illegal workplaces," ICE Assistant Secretary John Morton said on the agency's Web site. According to The Associated Press, dairy farmers in Vermont were among the businesses getting notifications from immigration officials to turn over payroll and hiring records, said Kelly Loftus, spokeswoman for the Vermont Agency of Agriculture. Some dairy farmers say they use foreign workers because it is hard to find people locally for the work. Richard Dayoub, president and CEO of the Greater El Paso Chamber of Commerce, said, "They (ICE) are really taking an effort by their part to understand the depth of the problem. I'm not sure what they will accomplish." At the same time, the Homeland Security Department announced it would give a seal of approval to businesses volunteering to use an electronic program to check workers' immigration status. Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said Thursday that the public should know which companies are following the law. The problem is that the program known as E-Verify is still under development, and the law does not require employers to use it. They are required to use a paper system. E-Verify is an Internet- based system that allows employers to voluntarily determine the eligibility of new hires to work in the United States, using information provided on the employee's I-9 form. The E-Verify campaign is being promoted by ICE as a way to help employers maintain a legal work environment. "All employers have an obligation to assure that they have a work force that complies with the law," El Paso Mayor John Cook said. "They E-Verify system will implement technology to assist employers with that responsibility." Cindy Ramos-Davidson, CEO of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, said she felt that the E-Verify system was not up to speed, and that all it took was one small error to set up a business for litigation. The last nationwide audit conducted by ICE resulted in 14,000 suspicious documents. The Border Network for Human Rights said in its statement that it "hopes that the Obama administration will rethink this outdated strategy and keep his campaign promise to implement comprehensive immigration reform." http://www.elpasotimes.com/ci_13837362?source=most_emailed Why do activists feel illegals should not be held to any standard in the work place and ICE should not bother illegals even when they use document , stolen documents as such documents enable illegal to have a better life and current laws are unjust. People feel its ok to break laws without any punishment since what they are doing is offering them a better life ? Is this how activists believe our immigration laws must be directed ?Why is the first thing activists say ICE audits are tearing families apart. moreVoting Question: Is there an outline specific to writing an e-commerce business plan?
I am in the process of launching a .com start-up and am doing well following general procedure for starting a small business, but wondered if there was something more specific towards the establishment of an e-commerce entity. moreResolved Question: I can't see my website in 1000 Google ranking:(?
My e-commerce (clothing for women) has been live only for one month and it was set up with a SEO friendly shopping cart. The company that designed my website has to be very good, since I have seen some e-commerce sites they did on the first page of Google while I was looking for them by keywords! I checked my website in GoogleRanking.com and my site is not in the top 1000! I started writing blogs to get more traffic and registered to other websites to write about my business, post images of my products, contact and links. I have about 20-35 people a day looking at my site and I sold so far only 3 items! I heard its tough for new websites and it may take 3-9 months or even more to reach the goals. Is it true? What else can I do to increase traffic to my site without spending lots of money on advertising? Should I just be more patient and wait? Please advice.... moreVoting Question: What's the easiest/most profitable business to start (or thing to sell) online?
This is a serious question for people who are in the e-commerce trenches right now. I'm not looking for "MAKE 80K/WEEK ONLINE IN YOUR SPARE TIME!" crap. I'm not looking for "turn-key home business opportunites" or multi-level marketing BS. I'm not selling vitamins to my friends and neighbors or having "parties". I don't want to be a pornmaster affiliate. I don't want to fill out surveys or be a secret shopper, etc. I want to sell things online, most likely through Amazon's or Yahoo's marketplace or something like that. I don't care necessarily what the "thing" is. Ideally, I'd like to have as little inventory around my tiny apartment at any given time but other than that, I just want to know what the easiest thing to sell is and how/where to sell it. Everything else will be reported as spam. Thanks in advance to the legitimate e-retailers who answer this. moreResolved Question: Discount Death: Wal-Mart Sells Caskets Online?
Read this story: The price of being dead just dropped. It is a good thing, given the troubles in the economy. Wal-Mart is beginning to sell caskets and urns at walmart.com. Some of the caskets are prices as low as $999 and ship within 48-hours. It is a shame when a family won’t pay the full $1,00o when a loved one dies. Wal-Mart, of course, sells everything on line and has the second most visited e-commerce site in the country, so caskets and urns are just an extension of making walmart.com the internet destination for all shopping. And some of the products are pretty attractive. Who could pass up the ”Pieta and Last Supper Steel Casket” for only $1,599 or the “Dad Remembered Steel Casket” for $995? Does that come with free shipping? It won’t be long until Wal-Mart is in the business of selling burial plots. The Wal-Mart casket business may simply be an example of what happens in a recession. People will shop for almost anything based on price. Most families do not want to go all the way down-scale and buy or build a pine box. A bad economy probably makes cremation more attractive. Wal-Mart’s slogan is “Save Money. Live Better.” The world’s largest retailer is going to have to add “Die Better” to the slogan, too. Now, my question is: What do you think Wal-Mart will start selling next? My guess is either hookers or have their own gas station. moreResolved Question: How and where do I source product images for my website?
I am in the process of starting my own consumer electronics e-commerce business. I have got all of my suppliers sorted, and the website is almost complete. The only problem I am having now is obtaining images of the items that I intend to sell. As I'm sure most of you will appreciate, opening boxes and physically taking photos is impractical and expensive in terms of time and money. Also, simply downloading images from other sites is time consuming, and the quality of the images will lack the uniformity of quality that I need to maintain the level of professionalism I wish to show to my customers. In short, what I am asking is, where do the big boys like dabs.com and computerwarehouse.co.uk get their images from? I could email their customer service departments, but something tells me that they wouldn't be very helpful LOL. Thanks in advance Anton. moreResolved Question: Obtaining permits and licenses for a "hobby" business.?

I have been trying to start up an e-commerce business with a friend. My friend and I have had an amicable parting of ways. My friend had an artist friend of his draw 2 drawings to be used on the website as logo's. The artist drew the drawings free of charge. The drawings both state the artist's "nickname" on them and I do not intend to remove the "nickname" when published. The drawings both contain the name of the website which I have registered solely in my name. Now my friend and I have parted ways and I have decided to take the website in a totally different direction. I would still like to use the drawings as logo's. What are my legal rights? Can I legally copyright the drawings and trademark the website name in order to prevent my friend from attempting to use them in his own venture? moreResolved Question: Business License for home-based e-commerce?

This is straight from the GNU/GPL website; http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-faq.html#GPLCommercially Question; If I use a piece of software that has been obtained under the GNU GPL, am I allowed to modify the original code into a new program, then distribute and sell that new program commercially? Answer: You are allowed to sell copies of the modified program commercially, but only under the terms of the GNU GPL. Thus, for instance, you must make the source code available to the users of the program as described in the GPL, and they must be allowed to redistribute and modify it as described in the GPL. These requirements are the condition for including the GPL-covered code you received in a program of your own. My question: Can I only have to provide the source code to customers who pay for the program? I want to start a web design business and want to build my own e commerce cart from an existing one, of course I would update the interface by A LOT, and add in some extra features! But if possible I only want paying customers to be able to use it! The policy is kinda confusing to me, because im only fifteen and dont get all this legal mumbo jumbo! The prices will range from $15-30 depending on the package you choose.
