Bob Lapkin's Creative Corporate Catering in New Hope, Minn., serves as a model for entrepreneurs who want to leave their company as a legacy. As part of its strategy to provide more convenient shopping for customers, Sears is looking for a local entrepreneur in Brookings to own and operate a Sears Dealer store.
"We're looking for a person who wants to operate a successful business and is customer service-oriented ," said Scott McInroy, district sales manager for Sears Dealer stores.
"This is an outstanding retail opportunity for a dedicated individual to participate in one of America's hottest growth opportunities ."
Since 1993, Sears has helped entrepreneurs successfully open Dealer stores in 48 states. The store in Brookings will be one of six new outlets planned for South Dakota. McInroy will be meeting with prospective owners this Thursday, July 31, conducting an open house at the Brookings Fairfield Inn. more
Waukegan man was in-laws with presidential family
Nugent later became an entrepreneur and real estate developer, before retiring to San Diego with Mary, his second wife.
Nugent is preceded in death by wives Tillie and Mary, his parents and siblings. He's survived by two sons, their spouses and numerous grandchildren.
