Fonville Morisey & Barefoot Agents Honored by Triangle Sales and

RALEIGH, N.C. � At this month�s meeting of the Triangle Sales and Marketing Council, several Fonville Morisey & Barefoot (FMB) sales associates were recognized for outstanding sales performance in June 2008. Five unique monthly awards were given out exclusively to FMB team members for their outstanding results.

Lyn Mills achieved the highest dollar volume for homes sold ($489,900) in Chatham County and tied with Jonathan Stallings for highest number of homes sold (1) in Chatham County.

Kim Curry was recognized for the highest number of homes sold (5) and highest dollar volume ($1,178,795) for Durham County attached homes, while Earle Sherman snatched the top spot for the highest number of homes sold (6) for Wake County detached homes.

Mills is a sales associate at Amberly in Cary, Stallings is a sales associate at Governors Lake Townes in Chapel Hill, Curry is a sales associates for Keystone Crossing in Morrisville, and Sherman is a sales associate at Village of Charleston in Fuquay-Varina. more

The company, which earlier this year saw the planned sale of its space robotics and satellite technology business blocked by the Canadian government, earned C$13.4 million ($13.1 million), or 33 Canadian cents a share, in the three months ended June 30. That was down from a profit of C$19.8 million, or 45 Canadian cents a share, in the same period a year earlier.

TMX Group profit up on Montreal contribution

TORONTO (Reuters) - Canadian exchange operator TMX Group Inc said on Wednesday its second-quarter profit rose 26 percent as the May 1 acquisition of the Montreal Exchange derivatives operation helped to boost its bottom line. TMX Group, which also runs the Toronto Stock Exchange, said net income was C$49.2 million ($48.2 million), or 65 Canadian cents a share, in the three months ended June 30. more
