Details missing from Obama's Social Security plan
"A high-income entrepreneur would see his or her federal marginal tax rate rise to 53 percent from 37.7 percent," Lindsey wrote in a June 20 Wall Street Journal op-ed column.
The marginal tax rate is what a person pays on each additional dollar earned. Lindsey wrote that Obama's plans would provide a powerful incentive for the highest-earning Americans to work less, invest less and contribute less to the economy.
Former Oklahoma Sen. Don Nickles, a Republican, agreed. A person who owns two restaurants and makes $500,000 a year would have little incentive to open a third restaurant under Obama's tax plans, and might even close one, Nickles said in an interview. "He's not going to be hiring more people," Nickles said.
Obama economic adviser Jason Furman, responding to Lindsey in a letter published by The Wall Street Journal, said Obama would "work with Congress on a bipartisan basis to design the details" of his Social Security plan, "including the tax rate, how it is phased in over time, the linkage between these tax payments and benefits, and other critical design elements of this plan."
Furman wrote that Obama "has not proposed a 12.4-percentage point tax increase on earnings above $250,000."

Read moreOpen Question: How do u think this sounds?
Okay I had to write a bio on Taylor Swift, tell me how it sounds would ya? btw i am gonna use abbreviations but not on my final report okay and im only showing u like half. Taylor Swift I read a bio on Taylor Swift- The pop-country princess sweetheart. Taylor grew up on a farm in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania. Her mom was a major business executive, So that's why she wanted to name her daughter Taylor- because if anybody saw on a business card the name, Taylor, they wouldn't know if it was a boy or girl if they were thinking of hiring her. But Taylor didn't go exactly the way her mom had planned but her parents were still perfectly fine with it. Taylor was born December 13 1989, after she was born her mom decided to become a full time mom. Taylor was happy that her mom stayed home to raise her "My mom decided to stay home to raise me. She totally raised me to be logical and practical. I was brought up with such a strong woman in my life and i think that had a lot to do with me not wanting to do anything half way" Taylor told the 'Ottawa Citizen'. By the time Taylor was 2 she found out she would be a big sister to a little brother named Austin. They acted just like brother and sister should act. For Taylor 2 must have been a very exciting age. Because Taylor was 2 when she revealed her hidden talent--Singing! Actually here are home video's of Taylor walking up to strangers and start singing to them- like songs from the lion king. They all thought she was the most cutest child ever. Andrea and scott--Taylor's parents-- weren't to surprised when they had a singer in the family, after all Andrea's mother had been a professional opera singer. When Taylor was 6 she got a LeAnn Rimes album--'Blue'. That's when Taylor discovered country music. She'd listen to the album non stop! LeAnn was one of the biggest teen country singers of all time! Releasing her first album when she was 13-no wonder Taylor wanted to follow in the footsteps. After that CD Taylor was hooked on Country Music. She would always sing along to the songs of her fav country singers, so Her mom encouraged her to try out for the community children's theater when she was 9. She had a blast acting, and she loved to be in musicals the best. She was 10 when she knew that she had to be a country singer. She was on stage playing Sandy from 'Grease' and every song lyric came out sounding like country! She already knew she was gonna be a singer- she couldn't put that voice to rest. But then she knew it had to be country. And she loved to be on stage too! everything was perfect. She was pretty, talented, loved the attention. Taylor sang at bars and restraunts on karaoke night. she had to beg her parents to take her. They knew how much it meant to her so they had to take her. One of Taylors fav places to go was Pat Garrett roadhouse. A couple of country stars sang there every week. And so every week, they offered a winner-The winner would be able to open for the singer that would be there that night. Taylor just kept telling Pat 'I'm just going to come back here if u don't let me win once' she would never give up. With her determination and talent, Taylor got the chance to open for Charlie Daniels and other country acts. Taylor soon started performing at fairs and festivals, she took an chance she could just to be up on stage. Every weekend Taylor would sing at a fair, festival or karaoke contests. "The cool thing about this is that my parents never pushed me. It's always been my desire and love to do this. That's what makes it so sweet, see if i had been pushed , if i didn't love this, i would probably not have made it this far" Taylor told CMT.com. Taylor just kept finding places to sing. She sang the national anthem at a bunch of sporting events when she was 11, She sang at Philadelphia 76er games, and Jay-Z (who had been watching) gave her a high five after she sang-she bragged about that for a year straight. She had been getting a lot success, Taylor's mom helped her record a demo CD.it had a bunch of songs of Taylor singing karaoke of classic Country songs. Taylor knew she would have to get the attention of BigWigs of of country music in Nashville, Tennessee. Nashville was a big music city, it's home of the framed Ryman Auditorium, the Grand Ole Opry, and Tootsie's Orchid Lounge. Since Taylor wanted to follow in LeAnn Rimes footsteps, her mom and her made copies of her Demo CD, and drove down to Nashville. She handed out her CD to every Music Label receptionist and said 'Hi. Im Taylor Swift and Im 11 and I ant a record deal' and handed them her Cd. It took a lot of courage to do that. Finally someone was nice enough to call Taylor and tell her that's not the way you get a record deal. So of course she didn't get one on that trip to Nash moreVoting Question: How to choose with is the perfect Business online to make some extra money? ?

I was at a college basketball game in a major metropolitan area tonight when my car was broken into. They smashed the right rear window and took a combination turntable/radio/CD player I had purchased from a Linens-N-Things going-out-of-business sale yesterday for about $180. I reported the incident to the police. I'm a little nervous about going through my insurance company for the window or the cost of the radio because I was in a costly accident (not my fault, but still) earlier this year. I did buy the radio with a credit card. I'm not concerned about the cost of the window; I wouldn't mind recuperating the cost of the radio. Would my credit card company do something like that? What course of action would you take? A couple bits of further bad news: A) No receipt for the radio as the store was going out of business. B) My deductable is $500. A friend in a similar situation had a window replaced for $150. This still doesn't add up to the deductable. It wasn't the car's radio that was taken. It was a stand-alone radio in it's cardboard box. Wood-grain paneling, kinda 40's-looking, meant for display in the living room or dining room. moreResolved Question: High School Time Capsule ?

I am a 24 yr/old small business owner and it seems I never get a brake! I just keep on jumping into "to-good-to-be-true" offers. I may not jump into to many, but when I do, they are big leaps, generally into, what seems like, a bottomless pit. I don't have much credit history, and what I do have is BAD! I started @ 18 by getting a credit card w/ a $600 limit. It wasn't bad, I was making the money, paying it off, then I lost my income. After the card was already maxed out! That was six years ago, so that means if I wait another year or 2 it will be off of my report all together. Well, you might say "problem solved"... but wait, there's more! I went to college, got a supplementary scholarship, my parents covered the rest, and then I hear that I am getting a "refund check". I thought that it was a refund because I got another scholarship somewhere that I applied for, but I was wrong. It was from the government and it was a loan. If I had realized that at that time, I would have put it in a bank in a cd account, but I didn't and then when it came time to pay it back, I didn't know what it was, so I brushed it of as one of the many mistakes that our government makes and ignored it. BIG MISTAKE! Up until now, I have made money through music, on basically a per contract basis. So, money came when it came. I ended up getting married and when my wife and I did our taxes together this year they took the money I owed. So that is paid off, and it's supposed to be off of my report by now. Now, here is the big problem! I own a business, a towing business, it's a very profitable business, if your trucks continue to work. Even more profitable if you have a tow lot. I make the majority of my money towing cars from A to B. I can't tap into the largest cash cow in the automotive industry, the government! In MA you need certain "towing rights" to tow for the city and/or state, also if you want to do "trespass towing" (parking lot tows). Now to my point, I have been having problems with my trucks (2 trucks) and I don't have a lot. A man approached me about his company named Vericomm, it's a merchant services company. He gave me the whole spiel on how they have the best rates around and there is no cost to cancel, no minimum charges required, no charges other than the lease (through MBF LEASING) and a statement fee, it all should have added up to $90 a month. Now that was all good and fine, but I wasn't getting enough people who wanted to pay by card to get it. So, he told me about something that made financial sense to me. He said that a week after I got the machine, whether I used it or not, I would be able to tap into up to a $150,000 advance, which was paid back by the use of the machine. A percentage would be taken out of every charge, and there would be little or no interest on the advance. He told me thatI was more likely to get about 30k to 50k on my 1st request. This seemed like a dream come true to me, because I could get my trucks in tip top shape and have a down payment for a lease on some property for a tow lot. I knew (and I still know) that if I had that available to me, I would make that money back in just a few short months. It turned out that, he pushed me passed all of the fine print, that said exactly the opposite of what he said. They ended up charging me over $140 a month and I then found out that the advance is only available to those who regularly bring in $10,000 a week for at least 4 weeks through their company before they would consider me for only $1,500. Well, I tried to explain my complaint to them and they ignored me and continued to charge my account. I ended up closing my account and now they are threatening to put in on my credit report (I am supposedly, personally liable for about $3,600 for my lease.) and/or take legal action if I don't resolve this in the next 24 hours. I feel like crap, my credit was just on it's way to getting better. Now my wife is ready to divorce me, my business is in shambles, I have a card machine that doesn't even work, and my credit report is about to get even worse! I have recently asked for advice about gaming cafes. I seen that many Gaming Cafes ran out of Business within a 3 year time period so I was forced to rethink my business approach. I will provide free internet and gaming services to costomers. costomers will have 1 hour to play on any gaming console station or any Gaming PC station free and then if they choose to play again they will have to sign back in and wait until another station is available (by doing that this will allow other people to have their turn on the computer and gaming station) The gaming console stations Will range from PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii each gaming console will included 52" 120 LCD HDTV 5.1 Surround sound 1 controller (second by request at the service desk) and there choice from a large catagory of games to choose from The Gaming PCs will range from Mid-end to High-end The Middle-end PC station will have.... 24" monitor 2.1 speakers with the following specs CASE - Ultra eTorque ULT33180 Mid-Tower ATX Case W/ 2 ThermalTake Smart Blue 120mm LED Case Fan Blue CPU - Intel Pentium D 940 Processor 3.20GHz, 4MB Cache, 800MHz FSB, W/ PowerUp P4 CPU Cooling Fan MotherBoard - Asus P5N-D Motherboard - NVIDIA nForce 750i SLI Hard drive - 2 TB (1x2) Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 1TB Hard Drive - 7200RPM, 32MB, SATA-300 bay drive - Sony DRUV200A/BR DVD/CD Drive memory - OCZ Fatal1ty Dual Channel 2048MB PC8500 DDR2 1066MHz Power Supply - PowerUp GEN-6802 800-Watt Power Supply Sound Card - Creative Labs X-FI Xtreme Gamer Fatality Sound Card Video Card - GeForce 8800 Ultra Video Card 768MB DDR3 OS - Windows Vista Ultimate SP1 The high-end gamer pc will have a 40" LCD HDTV, logitech z-5500 5.1 surround sound and the pc will have the following specs Case - Lian-Li Aluminum Full Tower Case - Black CPU - Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9770 (Quad core) Processor 3.20GHz, 12MB Cache, 1600MHz FSB CPU Fan - ChillTec Thermal Electric CPU Cooler Motherboard - EVGA nForce 790i Ultra SLI Motherboard Hard drive - 4TB (1x4) Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 1TB Hard Drive Power supply - Ultra X3 ULT40064 1000-Watt Power Supply Memory Ram - 4GB (2x2) Crucial Ballistix Dual Channel 2048MB PC16000 DDR3 2000Mhz Memory Sound Card - Creative Labs SB X-FI Titanium Fatal1ty Pro Video Card - 2 GeForce GTX 280 Video Card - OC Edition, 1GB GDDR3 OS - Windows Vista ultimate SP1 Games will vary apon the 2 type of PCs (Mid-end and High-end) accessories (pc gaming controllers, steering wheels, memory sticks, ect) can be requested at the service desk.... I bought a HP ZD7010us off of eBay back in August. I had it for FOUR days and when I was using it one morning I had the computer on for about 2 hours I guess, surfing the web and what not. All of the sudden it went off, and won't come back on. I let it go for a little while and attempted to turn it back on, where it DID come back on (all lights, fans spinning, HD spinning, CD ROM spinning and all of that) and even the HP logo came on the screen for a few seconds. Well ever since then the computer hasn't come back. When you press the power button, ALL of the lights come on, it shows its plugged into the ac adapter, shows its charging, and everything. The CD ROM spins, HD makes noise, but nothing appears on the screen. It lights up and attempts to come on for about 5 seconds, and you can hear clicking coming from the CPU area. I have attempted to take everything out of the computer, RAM, HD, CD ROM, Keyboard, Processor, everything. The clicking stops when the processor is taken out. The lights all still come on, but no clicking. Think this could be a bad processor? Or a bad mother board? I noticed when I would use the computer it would get pretty hot. I always gave it proper air flow, though. I was originally thinking mother board, because the sound card was shot when I got it. The guy who had it updated it, 2 GB memory, Vista, 160 GB HD, 2.66 GHZ Intel Pent. 4 processor. Please, anyone who had ANY idea, PLEASE let me know. I only have a few days before I have to send it off to cashforlaptops.com (Wonderful company, for anyone considering them, done business with them twice now) If there is any possible solution other than a dead mother board, I would LOVE to fix this computer. The clicking occurs with and without the hard drive installed. So I don't think it's the drive, but I could be wrong... moreResolved Question: HP ZD7010US - help!!!!?

I am getting into new ground here folks. I just found another great job. And I was thinking about doing some extra things on the side with my home business too. I just moved to this large bach resort in the US, on the East Coast. I have so many friend here, it is like a 2nd home to me. And the people here love me like you would not believe. It is like they are family. I also am taking up some courses on business and finances. That should help me gain new perspective on money matters in the future. And as you know, I have a new female friend. She does have a son, who has a father in the picture. She is an amazing woman, but does seem to think of me as a very close friend. She shares a lot of intimate things with me about her life, and past relationships. We are on the same page, trust me. Last year she sent me a Christmas card, and a birthday card on the same day. And a copy of her new CD. She is a musician. Anyway. There is a lot going on. And people seem to be drawn to me in an unusual way right now. I want to become rich...yes, everyone has this dream, but I actually read about techniques, save my money and such. I have 1,000 dollars in a CD, roughly 700 in savings, and over 200 dollars at my house, which I am about to deposit into my savings. I get this money from mowing lawns. From this I get 95 dollars every two weeks plus I do the occaisional garage sale. I would have more, but I have to pay for every "extra" thing I want. I am a big sports card collector, and I probably have 200 dollars worth of that, but the value of my cards is bound to go up, but thats a different story. I also worked for my own computer which I got for a neighbor in exchange for doing their lawn 5 times (100 dollars worth of work). I have other stuff, but I need to get to the point: I am looking for answers from older people such as: I want to go into business. Besides business and finance, what other degrees should I go after? I am also learning spanish because a good bit of the population will be mexican/spanish when I get older. Also, I know there is no guaranteed way to make money, but what businesses are a safe bet to turn profits? I would own my own card store, but I assume that won't work out seeing as how ebay and other sites have pretty much destroyed that business for store owners. Also, do you older folks have any tips that you have learned over your lifetime that would help me succeed. Again, I am not one of those normal teens that says: "How can I make quick easy money...I don't want to do hard work for it, maybe I can do online surveys or something." DUH. I am a motivated person who wants to and will work to succeed I get 95 dollars every two weeks from mowing the lawn I mow 3 neighbors lawns moreResolved Question: Is this computer good?
